They use toxic vegetable oil to fry the chips and fish. Proper chippies use traditional beef dripping which is not a hazard to health. The longer the oil is cooked and the higher the cooking temperature, the more toxins will form. Dr. Decker explains that when it comes to toxin production, “the biggest risk factor is deep frying the oil.”

The fish and chips are delicious, some of the best in the area ,unfortunately the service is not so good . On a Friday tea time at 5 o clock I would think you wouldn't need to cook to order. Once in the door they take your order and money then make you wait 30 mins with no chance of cancelling your order . Good chippie but won't be going again . Sorry
