First time at newington fish bar despite living in thanet all my life, went with family . Shop and eating area extremely clean, service was excellent as we ate in. I think summer was staff member but apologise if incorrect. Fish and chips top notch, I work with food as my job as a food safety advisor and nice to see fish battered as it should be. Will I return absolutely yes.

It's a small venue but there are a few different seating options, we chose chefs table which was very interesting watching the Chef Steve at work making such high quality food with a lot of care. Speaking out his job, he loves every second of it. I am unfortunately a picky eater who doesn't love seafood but for my husbands birthday we thought it would be a nice treat for him. When steve heard me worried about what to eat he made me legit one of the best Carbonara's I've ever had, it wasn't even on the menu. My husband loved his Lobster Linguine. The desert was so tasty, I had a cinnamon brulee and my husband had a chocolate fondant. The staff were so sweet and approachable. Kept up great conversation thoughtout the whole experience. Will definitely be going again!

Me and my partner, went to Fisk for the early birds menu this evening, we just wanted share our experience, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly the staff were attentive and polite, Saffron the waitress, advised us on which food to choose, which was delicious btw and have had a fantastic time.

Lovely gentleman on the phone, sadly the miserable woman at the order desk is why we won’t be returning. Letting the young girl run around like crazy whilst she stood giving chewing her fingers people dirty looks. Sounds about right for a manager funnily enough, customer service skills for the sour faced one needs some work.

Friendly staff but pub needs a revamp and clean. Flies everywhere. The food is meant to be good but didn’t eat on my visit but if I were them they should look at the Beck and Call in Meanwood, give the place a bit of a makeover and a scrub and if the food is as good as it looks in the pics it will be rammed

Looking forward to a chip supper I ordered a steak and kidney pie and chips, not difficult one would have thought. However, the pie was just zapped in the microwave and turned out to be completely inedible as the pastry was like tired old leather. And the staple of a Chippy, the chips. Well they were stone cold , flacid excuses for chips. Pretty much all the meal ended up in the bin.

Would give zero if I could. Terrible experience from start to finish. Arrived and nobody bothered to take our order for over 25 minutes… waitresses clearly do not want to be there. Drink arrived completely flat- had to wait 15 minutes to flag someone down to change it. It was a weekend evening so you’d expect it to be busy but it was completely dead.. which is understandable when you see the service they give (non-existent) Food arrived and considering they’re a fish and CHIPS restaurant you’d expect good chips right? WRONG. They were obviously refried, brown, crusty and horrid. When the waitress bought the food over she asked if we wanted anything else so I said mayo please (quite politely) and she very rudely replied it’s right there and stormed off. VERY rude servers- especially the young girl with brown hair. Some kind of manager who walks around in a suit all evening- but she’s just for show as she didn’t bother asking if our food was ok. In fact not a single person came to check if our food was ok. Overpriced, no atmosphere and abysmal service. Avoid!! Instead opt for the much cheaper pub next door that has very friendly waitresses who know how to be nice, kind humans

We went for an evening meal after a recommendation. Great location and very friendly staff but the food is overpriced and not very good. We had Galloway Beef Kebab and Chicken Skewers. They both cost £20 each. We have been in many Lakeland pubs and got better quality food for a lot less cost.
