What can I say ….. the best churros I’ve ever had. Made fresh to order (stood and watched). We had the gourmet churro which was filled with your choice of filling, we had chocolate Nutella and covered in three toppings. We had melted white chocolate, nuts and pieces of fudge. Absolutely delicious, will definitely be visiting again whist in London. You can tell they take pride in what they they do. Thanks again

We loved this place to eat. Recently arrived in London in a group of friends, the guy from the local, our countryman, treated us with great kindness and offered us to try his specialty Spanish omelette, it was undoubtedly incredible. A highly recommended place to eat

I’m shocked to discover that this place has been open on my doorstep for a quarter of a century and I’ve only just discovered it. The important bit: you won’t find a better steak at a better price. Or a better steak full stop. Hamid and Sirous (manager and proprietor) can advise you what to order. I’ve forgotten our starters (they were good) because the steak is the story. The côte de boeuf we shared was cooked to perfection and large enough to satisfy three healthy appetites coming as it did with salad and fries. Another thing: the wine list. No wine was over £35. The excellent Côtes du Rhône that we had was only £30, a price that justified a second bottle. The dessert menu is limited but that doesn’t matter as diners are unlikely to have any appetite left after the steak. Service was superb. An excellent experience in every way.

This place is operated by the same owners as Drake's Tabanco, which was on this site before Tapas 44. I haven't visited Tapas 44 but I thought the following might be relevant to potential customers: I was one of many who got food poisoning at Drake's Tabanco and the owners responded to our case extremely inadequately and unfriendly. I have never been treated in such a way in these kind of situations. We made sure to alert potential customers on tripadvisor (feel free to visit the old Drake's Tabanco review page on TA for more information) and I assume that was one of the reasons why they now renamed the restaurant. Be aware!

Decent thai food but I expected a bit more to be honest. We ordered fried prawns for starters but I found the batter to be a bit too bland. I think the sweet chilli sauce served was the supermarket one :(. Pad thai were a bit better but still lacked a punch which it usually has and the stir fried chicken was simply boiled chicken tossed in with a few veggies. Service was 5 star no doubt but the food could've been better for sure. PS: A good indicator of a great thai place is how many thais are actually dining in there and at the time we went there were none!

My interest in visiting this place was because I saw that Amy Winehouse loved to eat there. That's why I went there and I eat Spanish food (I had already tried Spanish food when I was in Barcelona and Madrid). So this place is very nice, the atmosphere, the food, the service and the music and it’s close to the bus station, metro, pubs, etc. I love it.

One of my favorite places and we always stop here. Love the small plates because you can choose so many different things. The only thing a bit strange this time was there was only two desserts. I know they usually have more. You grab small plates and they count the sticker to know what to charge you.

We've been regulars at Barrafina, usually visiting their branch in Adelaide Street so this was our very first visit to the Coaldrops Yard outlet - on a very cold day in December. Barrafina is pretty expensive but you can be assured of tremendous quality - and we were not disappointed. We sat at the counter so the service was very intimate - and very friendly. I think several of the staff members were Spanish, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. We ordered the croquetas (house special of the day), gambas rojas, aubergine with chestnut. We're not big fans of sole but we though we'd try this nevertheless and it was great. If there was one disappointment it was the tapa de entrecot - but perhaps we were full by now. The best dishes were the hispi cabbage and the wild mushrooms with a fried egg - the latter in particular was just awesome.
