Now CLOSED DOWN. It was a good reasonable restaurant in its time, I miss it. Suppose it will turn out to be luxury flats because we need them in London....

I had an awful experience here. The waitress was rude and made us sit for along time while ignoring us. When we were finally served the food was cold, cheap and underwhelming. Prices were wayyyy too high. You have to pay extra for rice and then side dishes that should have come together. Basically, each dish is over ten quid, and you're forced do order several just to feel full for one person. You will get more value for your money on any other restaurant on the same road. The food also used to be overall of higher quality, but now most of the dishes are sweet without much else to balance it out. The authenticity is not there any more, a lot of cheap western ingredients have been substituted for the Thai ingredients. And finally: the menu also overall has changed to offer less variety and for higher prices. There is another Thai restaurant down the road called Poppy's, it's cheaper and offers more value for your money. Decor is nicer as well. Another thing to notice about Thai 101 is that it's poorly insulated during winter so be careful. Overall would not recommend and will not be coming back.

Lovely find. Very welcoming & definitely a quirky place (if you don’t like seeing stuffed animals all around, this place is not for you). Food was delicious - between us we sampled quite a few of the dishes. Only takes cash but everything was reasonably priced. £2 corkage fee (per person I believe) if you bring your own wine, otherwise you can order soft drinks. 10-15mins walk from Hammersmith station. There is paid parking outside (free on weekends). Would definitely recommend & will be returning.
