Daly's Wine Bar in City of London, Westminster

Wonderful! Food was really nice and the level of service from Omar was second to none! Personable and friendly couldn't ask for anything more!!

A lovely wine bar more than worth the stop! Not only was the wine good but the Steak and Mushroom pie was delicious. The staff was so kind and welcoming, it made my day. The kind server recommended the Domaine Barres Saint-Chinian which was amazing and not too pricey. The restaurant is very cozy and is the perfect place to chat with friends over a glass of wine or read a book accompanied by a drink. Will definitely be visiting again!

I was first struck by how spacious and clean Daly's is - perfect lighting and also not too loud, yet also a cozy festive vibe. Kudos, as that is very hard to pull off this time of year! Our server was really fantastic - friendly and upbeat and very helpful. The two things that stood out as not stellar a) The fish and chips was very good, however I think some sort of rock salt reserved for clearly icy roads in the winter was used on the fish. I am not averse to salt, but these large crystals were hard as tiny rocks, which made for precarious bites, but mostly just overwhelming in saltiness. I preserved and finished the fish, but it was a bit worrisome at some points. b) The sticky toffee pudding had a lovely flavor, but I fear the toffee drizzle was missing! It was more like a dry crumbly sweet date muffin with ice cream than the luxurious lovely soaked with toffee spongey gooeyness.

Didn't eat or drink here but the staff are so pleasant. Needed to use the loo and the gentleman was kind enough to let me use it knowing full well I wasn't to eat from here. The place looked lovely and very clean.

If you don’t know how to cook a Bavette steak, don’t put it on the menu. Ordered it medium rare, was not cooked evenly and it took the best part of an hour of chewing before giving up without finishing.

Don't go there!... We arrived before 1 p.m. and ordered 2 croque monsieurs, we said that we would be served quickly (so we immediately booked a tour of Westminster for 2 p.m./2:30 p.m.). At 1:40 p.m. we were told that our order had not yet been issued (even though there were 9 customers in the restaurant), and that it would take 7 minutes for it to come out. We confirm that we are taking it anyway since we had not had breakfast. Well, at 2 p.m. we got up and left without having seen the shadow of a croque monsieur. So we ran to Westminster to enjoy our visit, on empty stomachs from the day before. And so I'm writing this message at 5 p.m. still having eaten nothing. Ashamed !!! Noting that when leaving we still paid almost €20 for our drinks for a coke and a spritz without the slightest action being made. In short, if you want to waste your time, you understand (and even then I find it hard to imagine if I had ordered a slightly more sophisticated dish)

Excellent service! Our waitress Ramoune was very helpful and gave us great recommendations. Good Wine and charcuterie board is delicious. Perfect to meet colleagues or friends after work

It was my friend's birthday but he did not tell us. Wait staff Ramune who was exceptional in finding a candle to decorate a cake for my friend. And she was very helpful when my friend accidentally spilt wine on my clothes.

Really lovely bar / restaurant with a lovely vibe. Our server Omer was so attentive and friendly, he made the whole experience so much more pleasant. This is a favourite spot of mine and I’ll definitely be returning.

What a gem of a place. The two ladies behind the bar were absolutely brilliant (I apologise... after a few wines I can't remember your names!!) and they really looked after me. The steak I had was fantastic, and in my opinion quite underpriced for the quality of the dish (even by countryside standards). It was delicious. Gorgeous wine selection behind the bar, and although it was a quiet Monday night, there was a really nice atmosphere. I look forward to coming back many more times.

Been in london for 5 weeks and headed here for lunch pretty much every day and the food is amazing. Absolutely loved the Cauliflower Wings!! Food is always fresh and the chips are superb! Service was amazing!! Big shout out to Rafa, Omar and Ramune! Customer service from these guys was unmatched!! Would definitely go back the next time I'm in London!

We recently held an event at Daly's Wine Bar and the service we received was exceptional. Omer especially was attentive, knowledgeable and briefed on our event. Thank you for ensuring our event ran well.

The Croque Monsieur was delicious and more than enough for two. The steak sandwich however was light on steak or bread was way to big. The server was delightful friendly funny and took care of business. She deserves a raise.

Ali is an absolute legend, he is very informative and knowledgeable of drinks. I would also recommend Raphael. They both selected awesome drinks, Thier knowledge was second to none. Ali was very happy to help in any translation issues and I was very pleased with their Lutheran translation. Whiskey was was very recommended.

Went into this restaurant on the off chance and was really pleased we did. Good choices for lunch and not too expensive. The food we had was very tasty and good portions. The waitress - Izzy - was absolutely wonderful. Chatty and a good sense of humour and made our lunch much more enjoyable . Would definitely go back next in the area. .

Great service and great food. I initially came in for a pre lunch coffee with my daughter as we were out in Central London for the day but ended up staying to eat. Great portion size, really good value for money and delicious!

I went to Daly's in June, on a random Monday night and it was amazing. Rafa and Bryan were behind the bar and made us feel so welcome. They were thoughtful, caring and wanted to ensure we had a great time. Me and my girlfriend had lovely meal and had a couple glasses of wine, which were great. If you want a high quality meal or even just a drink in idyllic wine bar, Daly's is the place to be. Big up Rafa and Bryan!!

Food was excellent as was the service, and the beer is dangerously good.

Staff are great but the manager is a bit passive aggressive. Considering it is a wine bar the manager could not make any recommendations and just pointed to the menu. Other staff were lovely and recommended a great wine. Steak apparently comes with mint sauce. Not a good dish. Manager couldn't care less.

Lovely staff. Please note that it is cashless, so make sure that you have your cards, or a charged device to pay, otherwise you will not be able to buy their delicious pink wine.

Random find on our way out for the night, staff polite and accommodating, venue was fresh and clean ... worth a visit.

We stopped in at Daly's for a pre-theatre dinner. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. We started with the hummus. It was fantastic. We had a very generous portion, but they didn't provide much bread or veggies for it, so we had to ask for more bread. They charged us 4 pounds for the extra bread. A bit extreme. My wife ordered the chicken shawarma and I had the tortellini. We agreed that the chicken shawarma was one of the best chicken shawarmas we've ever had. It was absolutely delicious.....really, really good. The tortellini was average. It was literally smothered in a very bland, common red sauce. I was very disappointed I didn't order the chicken shawarma, too. So, we would highly recommend Daly's, if you get the chicken shawarma!

Had a lovely stop off here for a couple of glasses of prosecco and a light lunch. The staff (especially our lovely server Safa) ensured we had a great experience and would definitely return again. Great selection of wines and the food was fresh and tasty.

My son and I were sightseeing in London and struggling to find anywhere we wanted to eat in The Strand area. We stumbled across Dalys Wine Bar and what a happy find. Food was excellent- including the best Croque Monsieur I have eaten ever - and that includes in France. Service was great and a nice ambience. I thought for central London this was very well priced. Would recommend.

Bit too expensive for drinks..charged over £2 for a bit of lemonade with my bottle of beer so my non alcoholic shandy cost £7.70. Madness. Mash looked microwaved. Pie was okay, but shortcrust would be better. They added 12.5% tip onto bill. Glad we didn't order desserts. Would not go again.

A midweek lunch visit with a friend. Have not been for sometime. The service was ok but for a Caesar salad £20.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! another £8.50 we could have been eating the same at The Ritz or Claridges for an extra £5.50. When I commented about the price for the salad the server said since COVID everything has increased? Without the chicken the Caesar ingredients was £13 the chicken an extra £7.50. It was ok, nothing outstanding and sadly no more visits for me as way overpriced.

I attended the Pure House London launch party on Saturday afternoon/evening. It was a great day. Music was excellent, atmosphere was excellent and the staff were really friendly and attentive especially Zee & Brian. Thanks a million!!

Ate one weekend lunchtime on an extremely hot August day. The restaurant was very quiet with a great ambience. Food & wine were excellent, as was the service.

I met a couple of ex-Australian lawyers here. It is centrally located opposite the Royal courts of justice, which was fitting given we are all lawyers. So perhaps pricey, the wine was of high quality.

Stumbled across this place thinking it was just another city pub, it was unexpectedly worth the visit! I couldn't find fault with the food and the comprehensive wine list is definitely worth checking out and all the staff were knowledgeable and welcoming, credit to the team, particularly, zee and lou ! Met a friend there today. OK, no air conditioning. Staff slow. I told one them "here for a short while". I'm nearly 70 so deceipt but would expect staff to have more enthusiasm. A CUSTOMER WAITING?? Why. Staff talking to each other. Obviously bored. Bar had maybe 8 people!!! Went to Edgar Wallace. Better service. Slightly Sad.

The waiter Raphael (or Rafael?) today was fantastic. Excellent customer service and brilliant food - had oat earl grey tea, croque madame with salad, followed later by an oat hot chocolate and salt and pepper squid.

Excellent, large and atmospheric old wine bar with a particularly well chosen range of wines at fair prices for the area. It's deservedly popular, so it tends to be busy, especially in the early evenings after work.
