Loyal customer and usually love this place, however after ordering lasnight for delivery I am extremely disappointed with both food and service. Placed a £45 order for it to arrive stone cold and incorrect. Tried calling the restaraunt numerous times but was unable to get through. Managed to talk to someone earlier today to be told they can’t do anything about my order unless I was to go through my rubbish and take photographs. Ludicrous how they cant provide a returning loyal customer a refund. Wont be back. Wouldnt recommend.

Waited over 20 min for a dessert went to ask how long will it be "manageress " (more like idiot) butted in to say that its just gone In to oven I then ask how long will it take as iv already been waiting over 20 min normal thing to ask to then get with an overselous rude angry response of am not a chef I would hope a compattant manager would know how long a dish should take from placing the order and then for it too come out WONT be back won't be recommending Main meal was served semi warm (wasn't warm enough to melt the cheese) Whish the food was quick as the reply by owner lol

Ordered 2 of the dubai pistachio sundaes for delivery this evening. There's no mention whatsoever about almond ice cream on the menu. What arrived certainly wasn't pistachio but a battenburg flavoured sundae with mixed nuts.

Food always slaps, I order from here quite alot, delivery drivers are always very nice people, could definitely do with a reward point system though as I already spend far too much money here......still Worth it for sure

I got the philli fries, they were tasty enough but a bit cold. My son had the fiery chicken which was good but I'm sure it will get better as time goes by.

First time trying here based on some recommendations, Dinner was ok burgers were good quality and good size for the prices loaded fries and wings were also good. Dessert was what let the meal down & The front of house staff took nearly 30 mins to make a small ice cream and crepe with bananas and Nutella. We got the dinner items much quicker.

Great experience every time, food is always 10/10 even on busier nights when food can take a tiny bit longer, it’s still well worth the wait. Such a keen eye for details even the toilets were immaculate and car park had no litter in site.

1st time trying the hype of Don Pollo.. clean and spacious.. serve was good at offering a qr code for menu or a paper one. Ordered at till. Got juice within 5 mins... 40 mins later still no meal ! Eventually, once I realised those that came in after, they were being served their meal. I asked the server where's ours was ! She apologised and went to check.. 5 mins later, we had a lovely looking meal. The server said it wasn't the usual to wait so long.. I hope it was a blip.

Had the takeaway and entire family had food poisoning. This is the second time we had and that's it . Never again

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. My husband got the firecracker chicken from this joint and very quickly developed food poisoning afterwards. Not only that, it’s now developed into Reuter’s Syndrome (Reactive Arthritis) due to the high amount of contamination in the chicken they cooked with 🤢🤢🤢 his eyes became bloodshot and he’s now on a 7 week course of antibiotics and looking at a 3-6 month recovery period. All because of this disgusting joint that don’t know how to handle their food!!!

Online order for home delivery via there app. After a lengthy wait the food finally arrived... but the drink did not. The food itself was a mix of cold curly fries and onion rings and a soggy quesadilla, all be it, that was warm. Delivery driver said they'd be back with the drink. An hour later not a sign, 30mins before closing I call them, guy on the other end not a clue. advised food was on the way; had to repeat i wasnt' waiting on food but the drink for the order, put on hold for more than an appropriate amount of time told it would be out. Waited another half hour, we're now 5mins from closing. Have to call again to enquire if i would need to go collect it the following day when they re-open. Advised it would come. It eventually did but end to end over 3 hours for food and drink... mental. The guy who answers the phones needs some customer service skills. The delivery driver, bless her was apologetic but doesn't make up for the restaurants failings. I do not recommend.

I went and order loaded curry fries the fries were good but the chicken was mid and it tasted like freezer chicken overall it was a good experience the staff were really nice and the food arrived fast at our table. 1 thing I would say is that it is very pricey and can probably get your money elsewhere.

Always enjoyed don pollo but the last two times we have been there, it’s just been really below standards. Food is cold when ut arruves, chicken on bone was not cooked through, and macaroni was very stodgy and worse than the ready made stuff you get, infact it probably was one of those The worst part anout it that staff just dont reapond to your complaint in the restaurant, they only respond by saying we will pass it on to kitchen. Wont be visiting again

A few people were branding this place as an up market KFC but I feel it's so much better. The Peri Peri chips and chicken burrito were all great. I will be back for more in the future to try more. Definitely worth a try to anyone thinking about going. Only negitive is that desert orders seem to be easily forgotten or from what I seen people were kept waiting. We got our crepe after 30 minutes, shake appeared after 45 and I had to go and ask where my waffle was after an hour. Got everything in the end, all pretty decent, waffle maybe needed a bit more time cooking as was quite soft in the middle. Update 2024; 5 🌟 still great food now as it was when it first opened!

Went here for lunch, the food came fast and the service was decent but I don’t know what goes on in that kitchen or what is wrong with that chicken but it made me extremely ill, I have been here a few times and it has happened to me every single time no matter what I order off the menu. Safe to say I won’t be back. Spend £60 plus. Safe to say I don’t think they cook the chicken long enough.

Staff were nice and the food was really good, portion sizes were massive! The mango and lime sauce tasted a bit strange but the other items were nice. The restaurant was nicely decorated but strangely when food was served, it was done so in takeaway containers with wooden cutlery. Feel like if there is a nice sit in area it should have plates and silverware. I would've given it 5* if it wasn't for this and the strange tasting sauce.

From time to time, you want something tasty but unhealthy. And I have to admit, delicious fish and chips are not so easy to find. I definitely recommend this rubbidh point! The chips and fried chicken are always delicious! Everything is hot, fresh from the stove, well drizzled with sauces! Huge portions. One drawback is that there is no tomato juice on the menu, which is the best combination for fried potatoes.

Made a timed order specifically for 5PM 30 mins ago still had to wait at the restaurant for over 10-15 mins(restaurant was not busy barely 2-3 customers) no apology food was amazing no doubt but whats the point of making a timed order me personally working in fast food business can understand the delay part but 1 apology gives a good impression when we know we are on wrong side. May change the review in future but thats up-to the next visit

I've been there four times. First time was ok, second time a beef in a wrap was chewy and other ingredients didn't feel fresh. Third time was fine, and the last time I ordered chicken thighs in mango lime marinate and didn't expect they'll all sprinkle with parmesan which added on the top of mango sweetness a taste like a vomit.

The service was good and food arrived quickly, portion sizes were very good. And tasted amazing. Prices are probably just on the higher side though, I was appalled when I found out the £2 for cola or irn bru or any other juice was for a normal 330ml can, which is absurd. We were unfortunate enough to be sorted next to a bunch of tables with guys that thought it was acceptable to swear and just be douches. I'm just glad my kids weren't with us. I would definitely eat again but not as a regular

Very poor customer service. Takeaway orders & several people who ordered after us were served whilst we waited as they forgot our order! No apologies too which was awful. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, the food came which looked like airplane food. None of us finished our meals as the taste wasn’t great. It was our first time here & was highly disappointed. Kinder bueno milkshake tastes like plain vanilla & nothing like kinder bueno. Would not recommend at all!

Food is always delicious ,so can't deduct stars for that, the situation with the cesar salad though needs attention, the croutons piled in that salad are excessive. I've asked for them to be removed but I think of the times I've asked they have been taken off once ,unfortunately the salad I was left with was struggling to justify 2 pound never mind the actual price. I need to remove them anyway because I hate them,and they are never ending ,they ruin my cesar. Ratio from salad to croutons is way over the top, try putting a bit more actual salad in, croutons on the side ,then i don't need to pick out half of the mothers pride bakery that's padding up my salad ,to be left with not much when the croutons are gone !

One of the best restaurants in Livingston serving Peri Peri chicken. They have a huge menu to choose from and all items are better than the previous ones.

The chicken curry dirty wrap was really nice. The peri peri chips were also good just wish there was a bit more of them. Good place to eat!

The peri peri chips and mozzarella dippers were nice however I would not recommend the macaroni and cheese or the crispy shredded chicken. The macaroni cheese was stodgy and almost inedible, did not get touched at all. The chicken on the other hand had barely any chicken and was mainly batter. Very disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

Annoying because the food actually tastes nice. This is the second time I’ve gone and ended up really unwell, enough time had passed from the first visit and gave the benefit of the doubt. Day two now of feeling terrible. Won’t be back for a third!

The food was really underwhelming for the price. We were given unseasoned fries but not offered condiments, the halloumi fries were just slabs of soggy deep fried halloumi. The quesadillas we had were made with mozzarella instead of cheddar so the filling fell out when picking it up, and the onion ring burger my partner had was comically stacked too high, and the bread was stale. The website has this pretentious spiel about high end peri peri, but then everything is served to you in fast food containers with plastic cutlery, and the waiters even ask you to use a QR code to order as if it's a grubby Wetherspoons. Pick a lane. Going off the other recent reviews here, the management have little to no respect for the customer, spouting off food standards tripe as if that's an excuse for terrible service. I'm frustrated I just pissed away £40 at this dive considering KFC is just up the road. Avoid this place.

Food is horrendous, bones on stripes and chicken not cooked properly, The replys by Don Pollo is a lie to reduce focus to their own low standard customer services. Instead if I would be them, they would contact the customer directly to discuss any difficult experience customer had. And resolve things on both sides, Instead of blaming customers with a lie playing the victim.

Mega Disappointed in this place, the foods horrendous, the staff are very friendly but the manger is useless, ordered a don burger, the burger fell apart, was ok, but the chips made me sick, tasted off something wasn’t right about it and the Piri salt, I asked the staff for napkins and water 3 times, staff were friendly, I was then sick after I left the restaurant and got home, I asked politely if I could have a refund for the food I couldn’t eat and what made me sick, which was the loaded fries I paid £9.50 for, the staff were nice but the manger was very rude, saying I shouldn’t have been sick and I’m not getting a refund, talking over me and talking about how we knows a lot about food standards, don’t recommend this place at all better Piri places out there by a mile.

Absolutely incredible!!! I am really shocked at how good it was! The place was packed on a Sunday night and now i know why I was recommended the Don Burger with chicken thighs and the loaded Mexican fries (i added the brisket ontop) The best burger and loaded fries combo i have ever had, worth every penny... 😋 I will tell everyone about this place, next time im gonna bring family!!!

We’ve now had a few deliveries and I’ve got to say we have never been disappointed, the food is always fresh, hot and very tasty, the breaded mushrooms tasted better than most restaurants coming from kitchen to table, I personally don’t mind that when ordering the wait is about an hour( I’d wait 2hrs) or so because I know from experience now we’re not getting cold food, I would definitely recommend

Waiting 2 hours for a delivery, phone twice and they told me they are on the way, the worst place for deliveries. I don’t recommend it.

Absolutely love this place! The flamin firecracker dirty fries is an elite meal and a family favourite. Portion size is usually very generous. The service is almost always excellent, friendly and helpful. The price has gone up slightly but it's still value for money. The ordering system with the option to add extras or remove elements of a meal is genius as it allows you to customise the meal to your preference. The only critical point is the toppings have once or twice been a bit stingy compared to other times. Other than that, I can't fault them!

Tasty food, great quick customer service ordered the royal don burger which was amazing and the kids chicken nuggets were made out of fresh chicken which was a first I’ve come across. Sauces are amazing, place is clean and spacious but can be made to be a bit more cosy, all in all well worth it and food was perfecto

Great food overall and staff are friendly. Chicken dishes in particular are very well made. I was disappointed not to get metal cutlery for the grilled chicken. The washrooms had alcohol gels instead of soap.

After my previous review, the owner reached out and I found out two things, one, he is very passionate about his food and the restaurant and two they are dead keen to get things right and make things right if you give them a chance. So we went back a week later and ordered similar food, this time it was all prepared exactly how it should have been. And everyone really enjoyed their meals. Loved the loaded fries this time, and my wife's chicken thighs were great too! The mash was creamy and sumptuous and all fries were cooked very well. We'll be back, and was encouraged to bring it to the staffs attention if things are not up to scratch, they would rather get things right. Great service again from the waiting staff btw. 1st review. We went an hour before closing, so maybe there was an element of "cannae be bothered" in the kitchen. Ordered, the fries loaded with sirloin and nacho cheese, two grilled boneless thighs with peri fries, corn on the cob and creamy mash on the side and a waffle and ice cream for dessert. The only thing warm on my plate was the chips and cheese which I could have gone to a chippy for... Nacho cheese tasted more like dairylea and same colour too. The sirloin, and veges were cold!!! Something was off with grilled thighs, defo wasn't piping hot hot when it arrived more tepid and had a more boiled taste than grilled, horrible texture. The sides were ok, mash wasn't creamy and tasted like it was mixed out of a packet with water but it was the hottest item on the table, at least!!! Waffles, so disappointed, they were out of a packet. I will be surprised if they have a waffle machine(s) and make their own batter in the kitchen. But to their credit, they smothered about half a giant jar of Nutella on there, so at least the kids were happy. To top things off they only have wooden disposable cutlery, classy, and we snapped two forks each and a knife each.... There was a good reason why we haven't been back in years... I will however give it a go because the menu is better than it used to be, just hope the food matches expectations. I didn't complain, but on my next visit I will.if the food is pants. Kids made a total mess and none of the staff complained, so thank you for the decent service.

Thought the chicken tasted fresh and juicey and service was very attentive and polite ,keep checking and asking if we were ok and needed anything , food was very nice and we will be back and would defo recommend , and the value to the food we recived we got super platter for 60 quid for 4 of us and feed us easy and took loads home

Stumbled across this place while out shopping and the food did not disappoint. Perfect lunch food with lots of choices available. Plenty of parking which is always helpful. Went with a burger, fries and finished off with a nice dessert. Price was reasonable and was nice and clean. Not a fan of wooden cutlery but I understand why over plastic so no major issues. Only issue was the service at the front till. Very slow and mixing up the desert order did cause an issue as felt no point in causing a fuss just settled with what arrived at the table.

Got explained on how to order my food and if I was struggling i only needed to ask. The portions sizes where huge as well which always helps a big eater like me The owners of the company also come over to speak to us to ask if everything was ok with our food. Think his name was William - an absolute gentlemen Can't fault anything about my visit to Don pollo. Place was spotless and the food was out of this world 5 star place

Absolutely awful, got a home delivery- nearly £27 for a wrap fries drink and cheesecake. The smallest portions I have ever seen, around 21 fries half the holder amount. Stone cold freezing. Cheesecake was tiny a slither what for £7.70??? Are you having a laugh? Do not order from here at all - far too overpriced, tiny portions and freezing when delivered later than stated. Disgrace !

Have been coming here regularly for years, however the consistency of food has been disappointing in recent times. Poor quality chicken, no value for money and terrible (absent) customer service. The venue has become too unreliable to recommend. Management can make this a great establishment if they wished and I will return in a few months hoping that improvements are made.

Was enjoying my food until I found a hair in it. I showed this to the waitress, and she laughed. I told her it wasn't bloody funny, it was disgusting. I think it was the manager that came over. Asked what she wanted me to do. Put bloody hair nets on for starter, and don't be so damn rude. She gave me a refund for my meal, after I asked for it. Won't be back

Came with my cousins and got a burger and chicken slices and the chicken was uncooked , I had complained and the staff were rude and never apologised . Won’t be going back again …

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Ordered food online, no deliver after 1 1/2 hours, phoned to find out where my order was, was told food was not ready yet and hadn’t left yet. Was pasted to someone else who then could not find my order at all, then passed to manager who was rude and kept interrupting me when I was speaking, as he was still looking for my order the driver turned up at my door, i asks what discount I was getting for the poor service , I was told nothing, the weather was terrible and they were busy, just send the food back if you want !!!! After waiting so long I reluctantly accepted the order. William then advised me wasn’t the manager but the owner, definitely won’t be ordering from them again !!!!

Ordered from Don Pollo and the food was excellent. Great flavour with all the dishes. We got the burritos, dirty fries and the Philly steak and all tasted great. Good value and arrived quickly too. Definitely recommend.

Shocking customer service and food. Curry fries with no curry and firecracker fries with no peppers. Told to email enquiries and the owner may or may not respond depending on how busy he is!!! Staff could do with better training on how to deal with customers

Shocking customer service, no curry sauce on curry fries and no peppers on firecrackers fries. Offered to send a driver to replace it then told they couldn’t send a driver. Offered to refund curry fries for missing curry but won’t refund firecracker fries for missing peppers because they don’t refund missing items? How does that make sense? Have to now take the order back tomorrow so I can prove I haven’t eaten it and that the items are missing. If I want to make a complaint, I should email the enquiries email address and the owner may or may not reply because “he is a busy man!”

I had a bunch of wings in mango lime sauce. the flavour was very artificial and therefore difficult to eat at all. I had to scrape this sauce from wings to be edible. Toilets were opened the whole time on purpose for some reason which made the whole place smell like them. Everything is a bit aged when looking into it (veneer on tables peels off, taps in the loo are loose and mouldy, and more). i don't think I will come back.

We always come to you, even though the rooster has opened next to us. Previously the food has all been freshly cooked, and tasty. Tonight my husbands half chicken was fine, but my 5 wings were inedible, they actually tasted like they'd been cooked at least twice, they were hard, chewy to the point I just didn't bother eating them. The size of the wings has changed as well, these were off a chick not a chicken!!! When I phoned to complain, I was told they'll come to inspect them or there's nothing they can do?? EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! Owner since phoned refunded for my wings, explained that he'd seen on CCTV that wings were cooked, but not cycled so that's why they were hard and inedible.

Honestly this place is top tier puts Nando's to shame the prices are amazing not dear at all the portion sizes are outstanding 1 meal depending on what you get which doesn't even cost more than £10 could feed 2 people...Nando's 4 tiny little thighs little portion ah chips your what 15-20 quid? Avoid this place at all costs! Ordered a chicken which was raw as it was dripping red blood on the bone. Got told by staff it is discolouration but clearly was raw chicken! Got no refund, replacement or apology. Terrible customer service, management at fault as staff is just following their orders! I used to like this place but will never return after my meal and evening was completely ruined.

Food was brilliant and excellent value for money. Massive portions so it's definitely a good idea to share with someone or you can take your leftovers home. Mobile app ordering could be improved a bit since the table we were sitting at didn't have a number on it and we had to ask the staff what ours was. Would recommend the quesarito, peanut stack and milky bar ice cream.
