Nice atmosphere, A good variety of beers

I love this pub. The cheese toasties were great, the staff very nice and the atmosphere on point. It is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it to walk through heavens gates. I cannot overstate the quality of the cheese toasties.

Used to be good for real ale with lots from independent breweries locally and further away. Now a poor selection. One of the pump clips even says ‘what is real ale?’ I’d like to know!

I had the chicken wings dry this time with sauce on the side and it was a dramatic improvement. Sadly, I had to send the smoked salmon back as it came out on a piece of bread instead of the sourdough toast promised. The waitress was very friendly and attentive though and she sorted it all out smoothly.

It's a Greene King pub, I avoid Greene King beers because they're either not nice or not kept well. But here, there's a very wide selection of other beers (don't miss the taps on the back wall of the bar). And they're very dog friendly, we sat upstairs to watch the football and the staff brought up a dog bowl so our pup could keep hydrated.

Alan was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He advised us on drinks and was very patient and knowledgeable through the whole service.

Staff are lovely Atmosphere is great It’s a pub! Food is overpriced for the quality! Or at least they should charge maybe a bit more but give more quality! 28 days mature steaks looks like daily basics from cheap supermarket! Should improve!

Food ordered at the till, but one meal was missed out. It was disappointing as my family member had to reorder while others finished eating. Service was slow although the pub was not busy when we arrived for lunch on a Friday.

Upstairs is very comfortable for large groups. Also the staff is very kind and helpful. The food has room for improvement though.

A tradiional town centre pub. Very good and friendly staff, varied selection of beers. Haven't tried the food yet. Best place in Kingston to watch the rugby.

Came here on Saturday, I ordered a meal with my friend and was served by a waitress named Julie. She started by greeting us and letting us know if we needed her we should give her a shout. Her service was impeccable, she was very friendly and it definitely made my experience more enjoyable! I loved the food and the customer service, will definitely be coming again! Additionally, the pricing was very fair for the quality of the food and I’m excited to try more menu items. I noticed a beer garden, I would love to visit this next time.

We had a lovely lunch, the food was fresh and surprisingly good. Service was really friendly and attentive, Julie and Tom couldn't do enough for us. It was my first time in the Druids Head but it was cost and festive and I will be back.

Had a light lunch yesterday (19.11.24). At this pub. Arrived approx 11.50 fir annearly lunch. Greeted by a young man who was welcoming, friendly, informative and extremely helpful. This barman is an asset to your staff. We had a very pleasant and tasty steak sandwich and fries. Enjoyed our time in this historic pub. Recommend a visit, enjoyable experience.

Super cosy pub by the river. Very engaging young barman, nothing was too much trouble for him. Put my wife onto a banana old fashioned. They serve a mean pint of Greene King Hazy Day in there too.

Amazing place, I work at a nearby pub, but for some reason m, druids head is undisputed.

Pre cinema drinks and a chicken sharing platter. Would highly recommend. Barman Tom was attentive efficient and even lit a table candle to create a bit of romance!!

Awesome place! We were looking for a place for a sunday roast and we did! Service is incredible they made sure if everything was ok. Definetly coming back for the burger!!

Me and my boyfriend came here for lunch on my birthday. The staff were so lovely, we interacted with Tom and Charlie and they were so welcoming and friendly, they would talk to us like we knew them prior which just made a conversation with them so easy-going and comfortable. They are a staple to this pub and definitely put the cherry on top of our visit, some of the best servers I have interacted with. When we first came in, Tom gave us options for where to sit and when we said we were here for my birthday, he showed us to a quiet, more secluded area so we could really enjoy our visit. As for the food, wow. It was so delicious and well worth the price. There is a really large drink selection so you’re guaranteed to get something you like. When we next come to Kingston, I’m definitely going to come here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place for drinks and/or some good food. (The photos were just after we had started eating as the food was honestly too good)

I had a roast which was very nice, particularly the cabbage. The service was generally good as well. I was given a very small pot of gravy so I asked for another pot. I was flabbergasted when they wanted to charge me £1.50 for another small pot of gravy.

Decent pub in the Old Apple Market. Large pub/dining area inside which is nice throughout. Great selection of draught beers (one alcohol free,-Lucky Saint) good sized garden, some parts undercover, also 2 huts which looked cosy. Nice pub. Staff friendly. Food looked nice, Recommended for families too.

Price is decent, atmosphere and garden are good if you like a cheeky smoke. In regards with staff, they're all kids with no social skills and no wish to work, don't know why they hire people like that to be honest.

Fantastic time at the Druids Head, great selection of drinks and the food was amazing, I would like to mention Aimee who is a great member of staff and couldn’t do enough for us, well done Aimee.

We come here for a family meal, the staff was all super helpful and friendly especially Tom and Aimee who brought out our food.

Pretty big pub in Kingston with several floors and nice little nooks if you're lucky enough to grab one. The bar staff are really nice, super helpful and polite, some of the nicest bar staff I've ever met really! If you're in the area, it's definitely a safe bet for a nice pint, a table, & good service.

Nice pub. Food was excellent. It's a bit pricy but worth it. I am sure it is a good place to hang out. But was quiet when I was here. Staff friendly. If you have some spare change and looking for a good old fashioned Sunday roast then I can recommend it.

We got there on Saturday, 3pm. Place was pretty quite. Ordered food and drink from table. Drinks came early, from 3 deinks 1 was missing. We waited for a while after went to talk to the bar member. They daid havinga new system and they cant see the amounts on the orders. Food waiting time was 30mins. 1 was missing out of 5 meals. Someone came and double checked what we got and what was missing. All grilled burger meat patty was burnt. Proper black. 3 out of 5 meals. Ordered some coffe after meals, was taking ages to get them. Young girl, with black ponytail was lovely, she was cleaning our table. Overall I would not recommend this place for having meal.

I have been going to Druids head in Kingston for a very long time! Very good food, and great team! Really like the outside space too! I would definitely recommend to go and have drinks/food there!

Very poor service and food. Ordered drinks and food for 5 of us. Half of the drinks didn’t arrive and one of the mains was missing as well. They were keep on blaming the system that the printer doesn’t always print the tickets correctly. We ordered online via the app. Unacceptable to have missing drinks and food as well when everything was done digitally. Food came out burnt as it can be seen on the picture. Only giving 2 stars because our waitress despite all the hiccups was actually smiling and super friendly and tried her best to sort things out for us.

A really lovely evening at the Druids head! Staff are always pleasant and friendly and take time to make sure their customer's are happy! Doing us proud for the oldest pub in Kingston, keep it up team Druids. Also, we really enjoy the quiz night on Thursdays great atmosphere! A special mention to Olivia as she is always welcoming and attentive!

A pub steeped with history in Kingston’s market square and a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The drink selection is fairly decent, but pretty expensive. I get that the prices are relative to the area, but Druids is getting quite scruffy and in need of a refurb so the prices don’t really befit the premises. The food is also quite basic and pricy for what it is (no better than Spoons really but much more pricy). That said, it’s a nice outlet in town and the staff are always friendly, including door staff on Friday and Saturday nights. Often there’s live music at the weekend too. Not the best pub in town - hopefully Greene King throw some money at the place to smarten it up a bit! Update: visited on a sultry May evening and was impressed by the way they have decorated the side courtyard and the nice dimly lit evening feel with lamps on the tables. Upgraded my review to 4/5 as the outside is much better now and very inviting. Will make a nice place to go in the warmer months.

I've been there few times and never felt welcomed. Last time I asked for Irish whisky what I've been told they run out of. It was on the shelf behind the staff member who had to ask for permission to serve it. What's the point of having a popular drink as a decoration when there isn't enough stock.

Couldn't write a new review. But I wanted to give an update. Visited on 10/05/2024 so clean tidy polite staff at the bar totally friendly. So relaxing and good atmosphere. It's 9Pm it's busy but still have time to be really helpful and polite. Cant fault there food either. Great selctiom.Nice place to relax and unwind after a long day at work also to meet with friends for socializing or having a bite to eat. nice beer garden where you can catch the sun nicely when it's out. Staff really polite and friendly. Great place.

Best town centre pub by a country mile. Great new menu, especially the duck hash!! Good range of real ales in good nick & a wide selection of gins kept the girlfriend happy. Friendly staff & very clean. The garden area is a hidden gem & an oasis in the huddle bustle of the busy shopping area. we shall be back!

Visiting Druid’s Head with our cricket team. Great host (Patrick), very flexible in timing. Excellent food (savour the duck!), and a wonderful private room for our group watching live Champions League. We’ll be back tomorrow!

Popped in for a spot of lunch whilst ‘Wifey’ proceeded with her ‘retail therapy’ course. Went for the new offering of traditional’Fish & Chips’ …. EXCELLENT! Good value drinks too. We’ll recommended!

Marvellous pub! Was there one Saturday afternoon recently with family. Food and drink was fabulous. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. The outside area looked stunning but sadly was too cold to sit out in that day, but will definitely be back in the summer to try it out. If you’re in the area make sure to pay a visit!!!!

Love the atmosphere of Druids Head and it’s an ideal stop off when you need a break from shopping. Staff are very polite and helpful.and the food is lovely and keenly priced for a pub in a prime spot. Have been a few times before but most recently spent a lovely Saturday afternoon there with friends. Would highly recommend popping in here for a drink, some food and to soak up the atmosphere of such a lovely old pub!

Visited with my wife and had a very chilled experience. Weather was nice but a little chilly for the garden but the courtyard looked great sat inside at the front and did a little people watching as people passed by. Menu is different. We had duck and a salad both lovely. Always a good atmosphere for a town centre pub
