Eataly in City of London, Westminster

We regularly visit this place with our friends and relatives. It’s ideally located just outside Liverpool Street Station. There is an Italian food court as well as a cafe, serving coffee, cakes and Italian pastries etc. and a restaurant upstairs. There is also a well stocked Italian supermarket. I just love the ambiance and the superb range of Italian goods. The service is efficient and organised. The only downside is that because of its popularity, it is sometimes difficult to find a seat in the cafe. A take out service is however available.

Brilliant! Off the cuff decision to eat after a day out and we were not disappointed. Great service, speedy, and with beautifully cooked fresh authentic food at a reasonable price.

We did visit the restaurant in December when the service was shockingly bad but the food was ok. We decided to visit again with a bigger group of friends. The service was haphazard and the servers seem to glide around the room not making eye contact with diners. This time the food really was not great. Two of us had the carbonara which was congealed and the large pasta they used was chewy and all rather unpleasant. It’s not cheap and won’t go again.

BEWARE of the incompetent cashiers who fail to take off the Security Tags on Liquor bottles and Website Customer Service Agents , such as Gianni, who are idiots ! Check all purchases carefully. Or just buy things from local shops not international chains !

Having visited Eataly, during last stay in London vowed to return so we did. Firstly for coffee and bomba con crema (custard) in the coffee area the previous day then returning for lunch. enjoyed festive pizza (pumpkin, walnut etc) which sounded odd but tasted lovely, and a side salad. Service was a little haphazard as the restaurant was extremely busy at lunchtime - we'd booked the previous day whilst having coffee and went onto book for our Sunday lunch in another of their restaurants. The shop itself is a cornucopia of Italian delights to suit every palate and budget. Well worth a visit.

Accessible door to enter shop is closed. Lift out of service. Escalator to go down out of service. This is terrible for wheelchairs and prams…

The food was decent but slightly overpriced. The truffle pasta could use more salt, though salt shakers and other condiments are available at the self-service counter. The panini was flavorful but a bit too greasy for my taste.

Service was bad with the more senior wait staff forgetting part of our order and telling us we needed to pay for a pot of pesto we got from Eataly - of course we paid for it. The wait staff in general was low energy. Bad vibes

Very nice and cool place to visit and shop. Although quite expensive. Very good food. The service was quite fair, the girl who served us was quite rude and didn't understand what we ordered.

I had a lovely meal with colleagues after work. The staff was very nice and I would definitively recommend!

Excellent food in an upscale Italian supermarket. Ignore the high end and overpriced goods that surround you and get stuck in to the homemade pasta and pizza. We shared a starter of burrata bruschetta with fig and hot honey...a perfect blend of savory and a touch of sweet and heat. I could have eaten the entire dish, and alas, we ate it so quickly I couldn't get a photo! For our mains we chose the orrechette carbonara and a pizza special with pumpkin, creme fraiche and walnuts. A surprisingly excellent combo. Service was snappy and friendly, enough. Will definitely be back

Inaccessible for anyone with a wheelchair or baby carriage - the accessible doorway was out of order as was the elevator. Totally unacceptable.

Place for tyrists where they are mistreated by the head of the room. Basic Italian cheeses and products, they are not gourmet. The pizza is not good at all.

Having arrived from Italy we hoped to find polenta but it wasn't there. It's a shame because the shop seems to have everything.

Very good! If you visit the area to take the Jack the Ripper tour or for anything else it is fine for dinner

Oh man, the chai latte was so delicious. The pistachio croissant was a dream. The panini or the panini, it doesn't matter, that was super delicious. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of it.

30 minutes wait for a wholemeal pasta with no flavour that cost me 17.50£. Didn’t even eat it.

Great products, poor service. Had absolutely bizarre experience ordering online from what is supposed to be a reputable establishment. Tried to order some panettone well in advance of the holidays in mid-November. Somehow, according to DPD, the delivery was recalled by the sender. Okay, I order again. On the day of delivery I get a notification that it's delivered. Nothing is delivered. I phone Eataly -- apparently, there was a mistake. Let's send it again. So a week later the package is delivered. Except instead of the panettone classico they put a pistacchio panettone! And now the original is sold out. No response to the email or phone calls. What a shame. Absolutely unreliable. Christmas ruined :(

Overrated spot. Food is expensive and fairly mediocre. Been a couple times and left dissapointed both times. The carbonara tasted like melted burger cheese.

The pastries are super cute but very pricey and quite dry as well especially because they’re left out for so long! The coffee was lovely and made fresh, the staff are lovely as well! The ambience in the restaurant cafe was also really wholesome which I liked given the buzz of Christmas as well

Served well, Diana reserved me a lemonade for free after it had spilled out accidentally on the table. Sissy was really amazing, she served us well and also made good welcoming remarks with the guests.

Upon asking her a question about something that was mislabelled, instead of apologising for the confusion replied with sass that the item was changed because of the holidays (despite the labelling??). Worst of all she coughing everywhere without covering her mouth properly over open food, which I only noticed after I purchased….. ** Poor poor customer service. I stood at the bread line while the lady working there leisurely chatted to customers (friends). A queue former and she didn’t seem to care/notice. Once she finally decided it was time to put attention to the queue she went first to customers that had been there after me (my suspicion is because they spoke Italian….). I didn’t feel welcome and I won’t be going back

First class service in the restaurant. Found us a table for 3 even though they were v busy. Food is fantastic. Good selection of wine. Atmosphere is good but a little hectic. Will be back.

This place was so poor/average. Expensive food served by Asian waiters with zero atmosphere and nobody cared about you in the least. Will never go back to eat... maybe to buy food.

TBH would not return. Bar service and restaurant service not in line. Service charge on bar service which is ridiculous. Very money orientated venue. Busy. But not interested in service.

A friend and I dined at the London Bishopsgate branch. It was my first outing following major surgery and during Christmas time (11 Dec 2024). We had something to eat and drink, and settled our bill in full. We then spontaneously decided to have another Prosecco before we left. 5 minutes after the drinks arrived they told us to vacate the table as they had booked it for other customers. We had to begrudgingly leave the table with fresh glasses of Prosecco in our hands. Nobody showed us an alternative place to finish our drinks. We stood there sheepishly in the middle of the restaurant, then moved to the market area of the venue. Then a guy appeared, loudly accusing us of “trying to leave without paying”. We were still IN THE PREMISES with our glasses FULL for god’s sake. When shown displeasure at this appalling slander, he proceeded with yelling at us not to come back. Talk about customer retention skills! I am 56 and have never seen such horrific customer service in the entirety of my life. The guy is apparently a floor manager too, so you’d think he’d know better! It is shocking Eataly Human Resources decided to make a rude, mannerless and thoroughly inefficient person with zero customer facing skills a floor manager. When I pressed for his name so I would make a formal complaint to the head office, he gave a false name to avoid accountability and called the security. We managed to get his real name from a waitress and we are in the process of lodging a complaint with the head office. I would not recommend this purely commercial enterprise to anyone. Go somewhere else, spend your money somewhere else - Eataly don’t deserve a single penny of yours! I am so upset I am visibly shaking - and this is not how I should be feeling after spending £100 in a lower-tier restaurant

This evening, my friend and I had the worst experience we have ever encountered at Eataly Liverpool Street, 11 Dec 2024. The treatment we received was not only rude but downright appalling. I have never been treated with such a lack of respect and basic human decency in my life. After enjoying a meal and settling our bill, we decided to order another glass of Prosecco. However, just five minutes after our drinks arrived, we were abruptly asked to vacate our table, without being offered an alternative space to finish our beverages. Had we been informed before ordering that the table was needed and there wasn’t enough time or another area available, we would have gladly left then. Instead, we were left standing in the middle of the restaurant with full glasses in hand, feeling completely disregarded. We noticed a table just outside the main restaurant area where others were seated and enjoying their drinks. We politely asked a waiter if we could move there, and upon receiving his approval, we relocated. While hanging there and browsing the store’s products, the floor manager suddenly approached us in an aggressive and accusatory manner, loudly claiming we hadn’t paid our bill. This shocking accusation was made in front of other customers, leaving us humiliated. We calmly explained the situation, expecting an apology for the misunderstanding. Instead, the floor manager doubled down with further rude and insulting remarks. This behavior was both upsetting and unacceptable. The experience left us feeling insulted and completely disrespected, especially as paying customers. The restaurant felt chaotic and poorly managed, with the floor manager in particular displaying an alarming lack of professionalism. To add insult to injury, this individual seemed to believe such behavior was entirely acceptable. We have taken the floor manager’s name and will be filing a formal complaint with Eataly’s head office. This kind of treatment should never be tolerated, and I hope immediate action will be taken to address this issue.

During our stay in London, we found ourselves having to look for somewhere to eat without planning ahead. Finding good food in a large metropolis like London, especially when you proceed a little blindly, is never easy. However, our experience at Eataly surprised us positively. We arrived one evening when the place was rather quiet. We were welcomed with great kindness and professionalism by the staff, who contributed to making the experience even more pleasant. We ordered two starters and two main courses, and we have to say that it was probably the best food we ate during our entire stay in London. Among the dishes that impressed us the most, we would like to point out the basil hummus, truly delicious and unique, and a perfectly cooked salmon main course. The flavors were authentic, balanced and memorable, so much so that we carried them with us as a souvenir throughout the rest of the holiday. After dinner, we explored the sales part of the restaurant, an area that offers a vast selection of high quality products. Of course, the prices are not low, but we already knew that, in addition to the quality of the food, we would also pay for the environment and the service. It turned out to be a small corner of Italian culinary excellence, capable of making us feel at home in such a distant city. Despite the above average prices, the experience was overall very positive, and we would recommend it to those looking for authentic flavors and attentive service in the heart of the English capital.

I love the cafe for a hot chocolate or a chai latte. I have to say hot chocolate is the best choice to go for. Sometimes limited seating and dirty tables which is unfortunate. Other than that a nice place for Italian produce.

Great food and drink, but it's packed and uncomfortable, and some of the service is very poor from some. Getting a bottle of beer opened was a trial!

The coffee served is not what it used to be :( I used to be able to come by, practice a bit of Italian with the baristas and have excellent coffee like home in Italy. Now it tastes like standard British high street coffee. Where did the Italians go? For £4.10 a cappuccino too.... Just sad.

I was very disappointed by the cuisine of Terra by Cracco, cannelloni completely without salt, 18 pounds for 2 small fried artichokes, very dry tiramisu 😱

Had a (very) late lunch/early dinner at the restaurant on the 2nd floor. We were found a table for 2 really quickly which was amazing considering that we hadn’t booked and the restaurant was very busy. Service was excellent- the young man who took or order had a lovely friendly and smiley demeanour. The ambience was lovely, but alas the food was VERY disappointing. My husband and I both had pasta dishes and they both had no flavour at all and mine just tasted like a stodgy mush. Really disappointing! The ‘shop’ part is really great with lots of interesting produce so will visit the shop again but sadly not the restaurant.

Amazing place to eat pastries item and also great collection of Italian food. One should try this place if they fancy Italian dishes. We ate vanilla cheese cake and it was Finger-Licking.

Nice place to find some Italian specialties.You can also eat or drink in plenty of the restaurants and bars options. Maybe it's not the cheapest place, but definitely worth visiting.

I had truffle pasta at the restaurant upstair, it was a very small portion and overpriced for the quality. also the slice pizza at the ground floor was awful.

**A Disappointing Visit** The "signature restaurant" on the top floor didn’t quite live up to its promise. The pasta dishes were underwhelming, especially when compared to the many better options nearby. The prawns were overcooked, the bread was overly salty, and even the simple pasta al pomodoro lacked flavour—it felt like they forgot to add the soul. Descending to the café downstairs, we hoped for redemption in the form of homemade cannolis. What we got instead was a sugary impostor where ricotta should have reigned supreme. If you're in the mood for actual cannolis, my advice is simple: look elsewhere. Or better yet, skip dessert entirely and save the memory of this place for... well, nothing. Overall, it wasn’t what we’d hoped for, and we won’t be rushing back.

Loved the atmosphere and the vibe here, just grab a seat and have coffee, and relax. Coffee and gelato are great! Plus the selection on spreads, I bought a bottle of hazelnut, and pistachio spread. I should’ve bought more! Will definitely visit again when we’re in London.

Wonderful place. Do not think of it as solely a shop for delicious culinary delights though. It has bars, eateries and a fantastic lively vibe. The best place for food and drinks in London.

Had a calzone which was huge . Molto squisito ! . Bit pricey though . Loved the Xmas vibe . Ciao a presto .

The hamburger meat was really delicious!!! Contains 2 meat patties!!! The price is a bit expensive, but the burgers were really delicious!! They also gave us bread and olive oil, and the olive oil was really fresh. You will know this when you try it. I really wouldn't have known the taste if I hadn't tried it😋

A massive disappointment. The food was mediocre and when asked if olives could be added to a pasta dish, was told that it was impossible!! However for pizza it was ok to do so. We found the food lacking any real appeal. Everything was just drowned in sickly sweet tomato sauce. Garlic bread was taste less but as a bread alone would be fine . Tiramisu average. Nothing to get excited about

My Bolognese pasta was incredibly disappointing. Imagine a dish where the rich, flavorful tomato sauce is swapped out for plain water—that's exactly how it tasted. It was completely bland, as if the chef forgot spices even existed. Despite being absolutely starving, I couldn’t bring myself to finish it—it was that unappetizing. I wouldn’t recommend this dish to anyone.

Love Eataly! We dined at the restaurant. Was pleasantly welcomed by our host and she kindly managed to get us a table for 2 as we had not pre-booked. Our waitress who served us was very nice and friendly and made the effort to talk to us and recommend drinks and food options. I went for the Limoncello Spritzer cocktail this was fantastic, came with a kick too! For food we both had pasta which was very tasty and perfectly cooked. All round lovely experience and 100% will be back again to dine!

Well worthwhile browsing whisky out and about in the City. The selection of take-away options provide a dose of authentic Italian and the groceries are great as a special treat

Disappointed! £16.5 for the cold salad…

I am urgently trying to reach your customer service team regarding a forgotten item for 1 hour now. Unfortunately, the phone number listed for your customer service on your website and Google is not working. I had no chance to reach you quickly, so I have reached you email and social media (Facebook and Instagram) but have not received a response yet. Every time I dial the number, I hear a voice recording stating, "End destination cannot be reached." I have confirmed this issue with friends who tried calling on my behalf. Having a valid phone number is a must for customer service, it is so disappointing for such a big company.

Eataly is Eataly, whereever you are and there is Eataly it is a good opportunity to taste the original italian cusine with simple dishes but well prepared and with excellent ingridients. I ordered a classic, spaghetti pomodoro and the pasta was perfectly cooked and the pomodoro souce… perfect. Well done Eataly.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a very nice experience here yesterday when dining. We had high hopes and were all very excited to try this restaurant. However the food was sub par, as were the staff. We didn’t see one smile from any member of staff during our visit and each person that served us had such an unwelcoming attitude and was incredibly rude. I wouldn’t go back and I certainly wouldn’t recommend. Such a shame!

Food was good but the service wasn't great as we had to ask the servers for water several times and finally got it after three attempts. Additionally it took a long time for them to come and take our order. It was surprising as the last time I was here everything went smoothly. Fortunately, the pasta was exactly what we were looking for otherwise I would've given this a horrible review.

Absolutely! I’m a huge fan of Italian cuisine! It was out of this world! Every bite felt like a flavour explosion!

Eataly is a wonderful place and it's so easy to get carried away with buying stuff and then having to re-mortgage your home because you've spent so much money. You can go upstairs and settle in for a pizza and a bottle of wine.

El servicio fue muy pobre y conflictivo desde el principio con varios miembros del personal que nos preguntaron repetidamente si teníamos o no una reserva (en varias etapas desde la puerta principal hasta después de que habíamos estado sentados durante varios minutos). En cada ocasión el personal nos puso caras y parecía dudar de nosotros. Durante todo el servicio el personal parecía arrogante y abrasivo. Después de salir del restaurante, mi esposa y yo experimentamos una intoxicación alimentaria grave, que incluyó diarrea para el día siguiente. Vale la pena señalar que el restaurante es muy caro, especialmente dado el mal nivel de servicio y los estándares de seguridad alimentaria. NO coma en este restaurante bajo ninguna circunstancia.

Really loved walking around Eataly and looking at all the lovely Italian food and drink to buy! It's a bit pricey but some good ideas for Christmas presents or just for a treat. Really enjoyed the pizza slice too in the bar/café area. Definitely worth a visit!

Most of the products are sold at Lidl and at 70% cheaper prices. It's probably a market set up to rob tourists. As for the cleanliness, it's disgusting, the floors and corners are dusty. There is no coffee in the dining area and you have to drink tea. I was not satisfied at all.

We ate downstairs, I don't recommend, no taste, little quantity.

Terrible customer service and overpriced

We went into Eataly London to buy a simple ice cream (07/11/24 - 19:00h). The renowned gastronomic complex that uses the name of Italy to sell its products should strive for the quality of everything and in every detail. The ice cream was HORRIBLE, full of ice cubes and tasteless. The amount of ice cream that the attendant served was also ridiculous for the price that was charged. A shame for any Italian ice cream shop, even the simplest ones without great financial resources. In Italy, the simplest gelateria has superior quality. Italians are characterized by being hospitable, happy and warm people. The English are a gentle, elegant and good-natured people. But we were served at the ice cream counter by an employee who did not behave like a good Italian or a good Englishman. He performed the service with disregard and without giving value to what his work proposed.

Scammed. £15 for a glass of house red. I know it’s London but come on. The wine wasn’t even that good. Food was good and can’t fault the service.

I went to the Eataly shop for the first time. It is filled of lots of lovely looking food. I bought some samphire from here. The packaging doesnt make it very obvious that it may contain traces of all tree nuts. I wouldnt check thoroughly that a plain vegetable would contain nuts, and it wasnt made obvious. Ended up having an allergic reaction and in A And E. a vegetable shouldnt may contain nuts, and if it does make it very explicit not in small letter on the back.

Amazing pastry and dessert. Food was slightly on the prices side, but I felt the quality was good. It’s a food diner style service. Atmosphere was pleasant.

My friend and I attended the pasta-making class at La Scuola today, and it was an incredible experience! Chef Jordan was amazing—he demonstrated each dish with such skill, sharing tips and tricks I hadn’t heard before, even as an Italian! Both pasta dishes were absolutely delicious, with flavors that were perfectly balanced and truly memorable. I can’t wait to recreate them at home! Highly recommend this class for anyone who loves pasta or wants to learn authentic techniques. It was a fantastic day filled with learning, laughter, and amazing food!

Fuimos al restaurante principal de arriba y la comida era excelente. La porción del tamaño justo y delicioso. Muy buen servicio y muy razonable. La tienda en sí es muy caro. Insane prices for take-away, a dry and cold slice of pizza 9 pounds, seriously??? Take-away food is average at best. Restaurants are ok. Another note, toilets are broken, clogged, dirty, do something about it. The train station nearby has cleaner ones.

£15.50 for a meal served in a cardboard tub with wooden cutlery! Food was nice, tbh. But could have sat in the restaurant for a better experience!

Al hacerlo, se le dijo al hombre del personal que volteara el letrero de cierre en nosotros. No había nadie esperando detrás de nosotros. Esto fue sobre las 10: 10 pm. Seguramente atiendes a las 3 personas que ya están esperando y luego cierras el mostrador? ¡No mientras alguien ya está esperando! ¿Cuál es la hora de cierre? El sitio web dice 11 pm. La funcionaria de categoría superior fue muy abrupta y no se disculpó en absoluto. El pobre hombre del personal estaba visiblemente avergonzado. Qué servicio de basura. ¡Ahora llevaré mi negocio a otro lugar!

A huge space more than what I was expecting at Liverpool Street. You could spend a couple of hours walking around and casually shopping for food etc. I wanted to check out the casual dining for one person so headed up stairs. The food was ok I have given four stars as I thought it would be tastier? It was just ok and somewhat bland. The homemade cola was great and the service was average with a mixture of servers not talking to each other so had multiple questions that could have been avoided so didn't get my full five star rating. I was also rushed out as I didn't have a reservation so was told I had to be in and out within the hour so felt a little bit of an inconvenience asking for a table. Overall go and visit for yourself but not a place for business dinners or groups that want to talk as it is quite busy and vast

Over resourced, under attentive. 2nd floor bar area. I want to order a drink or pay the bill. Staff are reluctant to establish eye contact to achieve this objective. Instead I have to shout and get attention. The bill... I calculate the bill this time as it's not an equal 3 way split as my friend was drinking wine. I split the bill as the staff lacked basic numeracy skills to remove the wine cost and split the bill for the remaining drinks.

Delicious coffee, the desserts are very expensive even for London and the toilets are in a deplorable state, I can't imagine the kitchen!!!

Eataly is great for its proximity to L'pool Street. The space and atmosphere in the cafe area is excellent.
