The visit was ages ago did not eat there as left because the server favoured 4 people who arrived after my girlfriend and I did which we did not take very well hence we left

Only had a drink here. Very nice pub but disappointed as my favourite Abbot Ale was not available!! I find this in a lot of Green King pubs. ??

Warm and typical pub, very pleasant staff and the fish & chips is excellent. A little more fries wouldn't be amiss but would definitely be recommended.

The pints were crisp and the service was a joy. There was a selfless man behind the bar who put pub before employee, commendable, authentic, original. When asked his name he said the pub was 300 years old and disappeared into the night.

Great location to end the week. Friday ist DJ Night. Welcoming atmosphere, people in good mood. Very friendly and obliging staff.

Bartender took advantage of the fact I wasn’t from London. Charged me 45 pounds for a guinness and cheap prosecco. Visitors stay away.

We booked a table for 8 last night and the service we had from arrival to the end of the evening was exceptional. Markus went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed, and checked in on us regularly, bringing drinks direct to the table. I would highly recommend this beautiful old pub which has an amazing team of staff. Thank you!

Charged me 45 pounds for two drinks - one guinness and the other a cheap prosecco. I suspect it’s because I’m not a local. I asked a local about it and he said they clearly took advantage of me. Visitors stay away, one bad apple usually leads to multiple.

We came in here about midday for a quick pint after we had run a half marathon around the city - the bartender, who had a bit of an Italian (maybe) accent was lovely - he was chatty and friendly, which is sometimes missing from London pubs! Would visit again

Very quiet, cozy and very nicely decorated pub. The service is top notch. Special mention for the bald bartender, super friendly and attentive. The meal was very good. I will come back with pleasure!

Went twice in October and booked for an evening now . Booked a table online, easy confirmation, arrived on time , nice table allocated. Pub was buzzing with folks . Great choice of food and a Xmas turkey dinner added as extra option. The food is great , piping hot, with reasonable prices. Food didn’t take too long but long enough to mean it was fresh and tasty. Lovely welcome from the staff and they regularly checked on us to make sure everything was good. Love the place

Met up with my family for a pre Christmas lunch. Nice atmosphere. Some food choices not available but we enjoyed what we had. Steaks, burgers and chilli.All very enjoyable and we will go again.

A lovely pub, great atmosphere and value for money. It was very busy so not easy to get a seat, but to be expected for a Saturday in the run up to Christmas.

The music was a bit noisy, compared to other eateries we tested this long weekend, apart from that the food and service were good.

Absolutely nice pub, restaurant in SOHO!!

We had a disappointing experience at this pub. Upon arrival, we were told there were no available tables, which was understandable at first. However, after we decided to wait, it became clear that the issue wasn’t the lack of tables, but the fact that we had two small children with us. After tre minutes waiting time, we were told that if we wanted to order food, there would be a 45-minute wait. It felt like they were discouraging us rather than being honest about their capacity. While we understand that some places may not be fully equipped to accommodate families, the lack of transparency and the subtle message that families with kids aren’t welcome left a sour taste. A disappointing experience for what should have been a welcoming environment. Luca

If you are a tourist in London, this is one of the first stops. Delicious food and ice cold beers flowing from a variety of fountains. Polite and friendly staff, amazing tastes. Burger is the best💯

Marcus and Lousie are amazing. Great drinks, great Mac and Cheese. The services is the best in Mayfair/SOHO area. The Green Kings bars are amazing, they may have alot of different names but they are the same. Just look for the Green King name under the main name

Well placed in the heart of London's west end . First time visit as , other times not been able to get a table, it was well worth the wait. Plenty of people but plenty of tables , good long bar , didn't take long to be served. Good selection of food, dinner or lighter snacks , great selection of drinks, all food and drinks were reasonably priced. The staff, Markus and Ryan were very good and upbeat and friendly too. Its a Greene King pub , so menu is fairly standardised but was great as it is. We will definitely come here next time in London

Marcos was a very helpful bartender. Gave me some great recommendations for beer and some wine for my wife.

This place totally wrecked what could have been an otherwise great evening (and great start to our first time in London). Myself and my partner went in during late afternoon (we booked a table in advance), so we could eat before a 7pm theatre show nearby. The order was short and simple: 1 pulled mushroom chilli, 1 meatpie with mash and 2 small garlic breads. Merely 45£ altogether. After more than 40 minutes, I had to pester the first nearby staff (a lovely Hungarian dude, didn't get his name), as no one else was bothering with keeping eye on food orders and dining customers. Only right before 7pm food came out, thus causing us to miss the beginning of the theatre show and having to throw away most of our food (theatre staff didn't allow food from outside). 45£ shorter and starved afterwards, not coming back to this place ever again. The only positive was the Hungarian barman, that's about it.

What a horrible experience here at the Garrick Arms. I would say, at all costs, do not eat at this Pub. The Greene King menu looks lovely, but it doesn’t list that the food will be stone cold and absolutely disgusting at arrival. We even sat (after sending the food back) watching it sit on the side for 20 minutes. This undoubtedly proves the lack of care and disregard the staff show. Will not be attending again, very disappointed.

Excellent steak and ale pie. My partner had the fish and chips and she loved it too. A few different beers on tap, go to the bar and order for a wider selection. A really nice vibe inside.. really feels like a traditional London pub

I was in town for a concert (all the way from Canada) and wanted to eat some pub food on Charing Cross and stumbled upon the Cambridge. The food and service were great. And, might I say there was a super rude diner arguing about her bill to the 2 servers, and the servers could not have been more pleasant in trying to make her happy, despite her clearly being in the wrong. I really felt bad for them. Top pub. Thank you!

Service and atmosphere is great. We had a 40 minute wait on food only to be served an undersized portion. I ordered the flat Iron Steak and was given 7 slices of steak already sliced and cool with 5 cherry tomatoes and a side of chips. Flavour was great but under proportioned for paying 17.95 pound. My friend had the pulled mushroom chilli and was also left unsatisfied.

Brilliant pub in a great location near the theatres and attractions near Leicester Square. We popped in for pre-dinner drinks and were greeted by the lovely manager, Paula. Despite the pub being pretty busy pre-theatre time, she was still going round tables, making sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. Nice to have the personal touch in a busy London pub, doesn't always happen in other venues. Great atmosphere and service, we will definitely be back!

After receiving a response from Garrick Arms, I’m modifying my review. This could have been a miscommunication. Because the invitation was extended, we’ll be back to try their lunch deal again at the beginning of the year. “We stopped in to get the £10 lunch and drink advertised on the sign out front. It was to include a choice of about 5 items with a beer and or soft drink. I ordered a salad and an Amstel. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and an Amstel. The server gave us our beers and returned later with the very skimpy sandwich. My husband asked about my salad. It was ordered. Finally it came soaked in sweet dressing. I couldn’t eat it. Our bill came to be almost £50! When my husband questioned it we were told we were charged separately. Is this bait & switch typical at Piccadilly Circus?”

Beautiful old pub right in Theatre land next door to the Theatre of the same name. It's a pub you have a drink in before a show. It's quiet in the day and peaks before the show. Staff are friendly and it's got a good range of beers and wines.

Manager (black framed glasses) needs training in customer service. Especially with paying customers. Will not be returning and would not recommend, if he still works there.

Food was stone cold, no onions on steak sandwich, bread was stale and dry.

This was my first time at a pub when visiting London and while the food was pretty good, the blonde lady at the bar was unnecessarily rude. I asked a couple of questions about how to order and where to sit and she acted like she didn't want to be there. While it was an unfortunate first experience of customer service in London, the other two staff at the bar were super nice and welcoming.

Had a good football night, and the meal was delicious, I will definitely come back again

Most pathetic pub. Asked for a beefeater martini and the bartender said they don’t make martinis. Then bartender tried to explain that a martini was the brand martini ( the vermouth). Literally have no business serving liquor behind a bar

customer service was bad, the two girls at the bar didn’t even greet us or smile. the bartenders didn’t ask what kind of vodka we would prefer, and looked upset when we later specified what we wanted. the drink doesn’t have any alcohol in it. we paid for doubles and got just juice.

I recently visited The Garrick Arms, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This pub is a nice pub in the tourist central area of soho - we ventured in here on the way to somewhere else as it looked cute and cosy with its lit fairy lights on a rainy day! It was pretty crowded after work time but we managed to get a nice little table! I then waited 10 minutes at an empty bar for somebody to turn up by which point I was charged £9 for two cokes and that combination drops it to the low rating and will result in sadly no return

For being one of the busiest areas in one of the busiest cities in the world, you would not expect to feel at home in a busy pub. But Amina does this to the place. My friends and I would come back every time we are in the city centre just because we know that the way she hosts will make us feel looked after in a way we don't usually find in other pubs. There are plenty of pubs to choose from in central London, but the service at the Garrick Arms really makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you Amina!

Wow... this is the best fish and chips I've ever had. I've tried a few famous places, but this one has good prices and the taste is superior!! It goes especially well with IPA!!! I want to come again

Music to loud for the speakers. Rude staff who physically touch you. Alcohol taste fake and overpriced.

Easter Sunday. Food was OK. Bar staff good. Table of Americans being their loudest spoiled the music. Friends of bar staff though. Overall ok. Reasonably priced for post theatre food and drinks.

Today, I arrived with a party of six for dinner and drinks, and the bar manager told me that we had 30 minutes to eat and leave. Half the pub was empty. I don't know how that is healthy for your business.

Nice and relaxed pub in central with reasonably priced drinks! Only complaint is the music level when it’s quieter inside with fewer people, we could barely hear ourselves think let alone talk to each other.
