Shake Shack in City of London, Westminster

Delicious burgers, fries and shakes here. We weren’t disappointed, and it’s very centrally located in Covent Garden. Slightly expensive but it’s expected given the central location. We tried the Strawberry Cheesecake milkshake, which was delicious and complemented the loaded cheese fries and burgers. Shakemeister is highly recommended as well as the Mushroom burger. Staff were not super friendly but served us the food quickly. We enjoyed the ambience in the center of Covent Garden, and managed to get seats despite being rush hour at lunchtime.

Nothing to say about the food itself, it's the same classic shake shack I've had in other units. But the service was very efficient, polite and fast. Nice area to seat, clean and open. If you are in the area and want a fast/simple meal, it's a nice place to stop.

Very good hamburgers that you don't find in France

Easy place to just pass and pick up food. If you’re busy around London. Even though it was busy my food only took around 10 minutes so job done I think.

Food was really good. Lot of wait due to holiday season, I believe it was managed as best as possible.

The person who took our order wrote down the wrong pager number (147 instead of 157) and hence they kept calling the wrong number when the food was ready. By the time we noticed the mistake it was about 10 minutes later and the food was cold. No apology was offered.

It closed 25 minutes before the time! I wanted to take away and the workers laughed at me! So poor service, not coming back…

So disappointing. Nothing like the US version. But to be honest the staff ruined it for us. Incredibly rude in seating area to our family. I think there are much better options locally. Poor experience, needs a change of management at least.

I found this branch of Shake Shack walking through London, I had only tried them in Mexico and the ones in this branch maintain the good flavor :)

Great burger.. but couldn't find the entrance!!

On the positive side, the meat of the burger as well as its bread which are good. Otherwise, the cheese is nothing special, the fries are bland. The service is cold, with no intention of helping or indicating. Also, the portions are very meager.

Called here for an early dinner. A decent enough fast food burger outlet that is a step up from other fast food outlets. All well cooked and very enjoyable. You can get a beer to have with your meal as well. Heated outdoor seating is available.

Four stars because it is one of the most expensive fast food restaurants in the city, and because of the great confusion and lack of internal and external seats in the restaurant. For the rest everything was really excellent, 5 star food. Advised.

I am totally against the fact that when you order a hamburger, they don't come in the potatoes and go aside. Even so, the burger is very tasty, but I expected it to be much more.

I didn't really understand what the hype was about these burgers. It's certainly good but it's not worth a 5 guys at the limit! In Covent Garden a covered terrace is nice but closed quite early in the evening.

What an amazing experience on Shake Shack at Covent Garden, London. I had Dined In with family. Wonderful Quick and efficient Customers Service, Happy Smiley people on hospitality and Made the food Hot and Quick! They have a huge dining space just outside where you order. Imagine listening mindblowing Orchestra playing on Background and you're sitting on a cozy open fully decorated space with a massive crowd. It was a great experience indeed. 10/10 🔥💯

I had an excellent meal at Shake Shack in Covent Garden! The burger was delicious – juicy, well-seasoned, and with all the fresh toppings that make Shake Shack a favorite. We ate excellent pizza in a restaurant under the stairs and attended several performances including violins and opera songs. It was beautiful

After trying Shake Shack several times in New York, we decided to try the one in the UK too. We took two Shake Burgers, one classic and one double, and the crinkle cut fries. All very good, you can feel the difference slightly with Shake Shack USA (slightly better), but my opinion is absolutely positive. Dining with Christmas decorations in Covent Garden also has its charm. Promoted 👌🏻

You can enjoy delicious burgers in a restaurant with a pleasant terrace. My favorite is the Smoke Shack with customized lettuce. The food comes out quickly, except on Saturdays and Sundays during lunch time, so we recommend it! P.S.) I also had the limited edition burger, and it had a spicy sauce and was delicious! Be sure to visit this store on a nice day!

Fun little station for shake shack. I did not purchase a milkshake here but my friend who did was complaining about a bad stomach the day after. We walked all across London so this guy could drink a milkshake. I guess it wasn't really worth it but I do recommend it none the less.

Price/quality is still on the high side, all fine but nothing special compared to, for example, Five Guys. Clearly better than McDonald's. Furthermore, a bit confusing construction where to order, because this is separately linked.

Really good burgers, for a food chain. But there are better burgers in London ;) Usually there is a que for about 10 minutes and then you have to wait for the food for another 10-15 minutes, so expect to wait around 30 minutes before you get the food.

Decent shake, cheeseburger pretty poor for £9 especially as you could get x9 McDonald's burgers for the same price and of similar size/taste. Rude service too. Definitely wouldn't repeat the experience.

Rubbish burger that was cold, chips were cold drink was ok and all for the fantastic price of £18.50 ish Plenty of other far better options a stones throw away wish I hadn’t gone here. Unfortunately the food was cold and the price for the portions was not justified. In addition, the iced tea wasn't any, just unsweetened black tea. It's a shame, but definitely not again...

Went yesterday, and the female server is extremely moody and rude. Her male colleague, however is lovely. Food is good, quite a long wait time but understandably so.

No, just no. We just wanted to have a quick bite before the show at the ROH. Almost £60 for 4 burgers, 2 orders of fries and one drink. We had to wait for 20 minutes for our food. First bite - the burger patties were almost raw. Thinest layer of crust, then raw beef. No mention on the menu that burgers are served anything but done (which these were patently not). We ate the fries, which were mediocre and lukewarm, and ran to catch our show. Never again.

Really overpriced and excessively expensive. £50, for two burgers, 1 hot dog, 1 fries and a coke that 3 people shared. The fries are not worth the detour and the famous sauce that we hear so much about is not even included. Frankly disappointed.

Confusing from the start. Trying to find the correct place to order was a bit of a trial. Doors with no entry. When we finally got in there only two people behind the counter, one of which isn’t serving. Food was expensive. £13 for a plain hot dog Fries and water. Hot dog was dry had been split down the middle and re cooked, rubbery and very small, like a skinny tinned version. Fries had been waiting a while and were dry And tasteless. I felt pretty conned tbh. There was a German hot dog stand that we noticed opposite. For a fraction of the price a proper sized hot dog, Not a dry piece of shoe leather. Give it the swerve in my opinion

Very Disappointing. Cheeseburger was not warm or hot at all! I've had the burger, twice, each time, a year apart, and both times the burgers were not hot or warm at all. Almost as if the patties were just left sitting on the side, already cooled. This is not the quality i expected from a big company such as Shake Shack, the quality in Hong Kong is much better, so i expected the same here. I have worked in FnB before, and know food quality is very important, especially maintaining good food quality and consistency throughout different branches. I am quite disappointed that this branch seems to not care about that. The person with the lobby duties was also very rude and could use some basic decency and etiquette lessons. Overall, would not go again. Visited Oct 15 2024 for reference.

Amazing burger, nice fries too. The big plus about this restaurant is the location. Covered in a small reserved area with artists playing below, on foot. Superb experience. The only thing I can criticize about shake shack is the lack of a children's menu; because it must be said that it’s still not cheap!

What an absolute tourist trap! My boyfriend and I stopped here after a grueling 13-hour journey without having had lunch, so I admit it was a decision driven by hunger rather than logic. Given the outrageous prices, we expected burgers that looked like the ones in the ads or menus, but what we got were more like McDonald's sandwiches! We paid €43 for two burgers, two fries, and a bottle of water—absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend this place. Save your money and look for a better option!

The young lady at the reception on Sunday October 6th around 7:00 p.m. was welcoming. She advised me on the milkshake. The cookies & cream milkshake was excellent. I had the Shakmeister which was soft and good

This Shak Shak is located in Apelmarket. You order in a small room, pick up the order at a counter and eat the burgers in the hall. There are some tables. As is usual in London, you have to queue here if you want to sit.

The burgers are very good, and so are the fries and lemonade. The cost is a little high in relation to the portions

On m'avait recommandé cette chaîne. Bien que de premier abord sceptique sur les prix pratiqués, je me suis laissée convaincre de donner sa chance à Shake Shack... Après avoir passé commande de manière complètement déshumanisée (n'espérez pas écouler votre cash ici, ils ne prennent que les cartes de crédit), je ne savais même pas qu'il fallait que je récupère ma commande ailleurs, à l'extérieur du restaurant (même si je mangeais sur place). J'ai trouvé enfin une place libre en terrasse, mais avec la compagnie de pigeons pas farouches. Le burger est bon mais semblait préparé à la va-vite (tout dépassait du pain). Seul point positif : les frites pas grasses ! Bref, je n'y retournerai certainement plus jamais...

We had coffee and a cake very nice staff friendly coffee very reasonable

This place was quite busy and there was a queue the whole time we were there. You basically order from a staffed counter (cash is not accepted) and then get a buzzer that will go off when your food is ready. You then have to walk to a neighbouring building (not the one you ordered from) to collect your food! Food was good though. Smoky burger, crunchy fries and thick shakes (with decent straws). If you want sauces I guess you have to order those at the same time as your food as there is no real way of getting them afterwards, as I sadly found.

Very expensive for what it is and for the size of the burger. The cheddar fries looked very appetizing but ultimately not extraordinary. On the other hand, being spied on and getting off the terrace without having finished the last bite is beyond the limit. We weren't the only ones surprised.

Great fast food restaurant in a perfect spot that's cool in the summer. Lovely friendly staff , the lady cleaning the tables works so hard with a smile on her face. Food is good and tasty but it's fast food so don't expect five star restaurant quality produce.

Mold in my glass of lemonade, I was shocked we spoke to the employees who refunded the glass and served a larger new one but this is not normal to find mold in lemonade sticking to the glass inside the glass I hope I don't get sick.. I was expecting at least a refund for the meal but not just the drink Shock and disappointed

Expensive for the food you get. I received the smallest chicken burger I've ever eaten, which costs around £10, the chicken fillet was so small it filled only half the bun! Fries are separate at a touch under £5 and £2.75 for water. Well overpriced for the food that you get!!!!
