Amazing meal at Grounded Kitchen today. The food was fresh and full of flavour, the fruit smoothies are unreal also! Our server Jessica was sooo helpful and friendly, she is a credit to the team :) 10/10 will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone :)

When we arrived, the table was dirty, but the staff member quickly cleaned it when we asked and was apologetic, which we appreciated, as we understood people had just left. We ordered our food, and while it arrived promptly, it wasn’t hot. My partner returned her meal, but as I was very hungry, I ate mine despite it being lukewarm. We also ordered wings, but by the time I was almost done with my meal, they had become stone cold and were no longer enjoyable. Although I hate complaining, I asked for the wings to be reheated. They were returned to the table without an apology or any acknowledgment, which I found quite frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, I was disappointed with the customer service. If you’re working in hospitality, dealing with customers courteously is essential. Food should arrive hot, especially when you’re paying £35—it’s a basic expectation. While the food itself was tasty, the lack of attention to temperature and service soured the experience.

I had the sizzling prawns udon and it was really good!! Not too spicy yet very flavourful. I must also mention the amazing service here. We received our food well in time and the lady was absolutely sweet! Sophie H was the one who served us and she couldn’t be sweeter and attentive! We hope to visit sometime soon, see Sophie again and try ramen maybe cause that looked really good!

I eat here quite a lot on my lunch and I get the best customer service ever. Never once had a sing complaint about my food. Best in the metro!

This restaurant isn't really catered to ethnic Asians groups of people. I would not recommend this place to my relatives. At the time we visited this restaurant the staff told us that they ran out chicken and beef. I am disappointed that the tofu curry noodles because the tofu pieces is cold and the pok choi is raw. The dumpings is not crispy, only redeemable items on the menu is the variety of delicious latte, tempura prawns and desserts.

Grounded Kitchen in Gateshead was excellent yet again. I’d eat the chicken ramen bowl daily if I could. The staff: Alisha, Faith, Sophie H, Sophie P, and Jess are all top notch, and their service is the main reason we keep coming back!

We decided to try grounded kitchen because we wanted somewhere healthy to eat in metro centre. The reviews looked really good as did the food. We bought two main rice dishes, a side of dumplings and two smoothies and with a blue light discount paid about 37 pounds. The food was absolutely beautiful and a service was fantastic. From ordering to having the food in front of us didn't even take 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

Went back today for the 1687366th time and was served by the dream team Sophie H and Alisha. I haven’t got a bad word to say about the place. Freshly prepared healthy Korean food. They take allergens seriously. The service was excellent, the server was very friendly. It's the perfect place to try if you like spicy food.

Would not recommend ordering food take away from that place, especially ramen. The ramen comes plain. I have ordered the ramen and came without any broth, really plain taste. I could not get in touch with them regarding the issue. The just eat mentioned it is just the original recipe. So if you order ramen probably you will just get plain noodles. The pistachio Frappuccino is only ok if you have it in the place , but I would not recommend it ordering take away. The response of the restaurant regarding this issue was disappointing.

Absolutely delicious and nutritious

Freshly made, well portioned, and incredibly tasty. Ordering was made simple by scanning the QR code on the table, and arrived minutes after making payment. Staff were very happy to help, Alisha especially so. She helped with any and all questions I had. Will happily return again!

Food not worth the price, dirty tables and walls, food on the menus, didn’t get given cutlery when asked for it, ordered a drink which staff forgot to give us which we asked about and a male member of staff was really rude and told us that we were meant to get the drink ourselves from the fridge even though the drink was one which they made up themselves. After telling him this a few times he had to ask another colleague for help which she told us that it had been made but he had forgotten to given us it.

Went for Dinner yesterday and enjoyed every moment! The lamb dumplings and chicken rice bowl are deffo a fave The girl with the red hair (sorry i didn’t know her name!) gave such excellent customer service!! Will be back again soon. Thanks!

When I was there last, members of staff were vaping the table next to me while me and my 4 year old were eating... this is an indoor venue. When I raised this I did not get an apology.

I casually come here at least once a month. My problem at my last visit is that the ratio of rice/nourishment products. Now 2/3 of the bowl is filled with rice and thin layer of other stuff sprinkled over it. When it first opened it was amazing rice would be 1/3 tops and 2/3 would be everything else. I m sad to see it. Now need to find a new location.

Very overpriced for a tiny portion of below average food. I will give props to the chef for being able to slice the beef so thin, must have been 10g in total. The bang bang wings had no bang bang, just soggy wings from an adolescent chicken. More like North Korean food!

This eatery is very very good. If you are looking for a hoody of good flavours then you will not be disappointed. My wife is a massive fan of the Gochujang, so much so that I now make it myself however we still come here too as the service is excellent and prices reasonable. Join the queue for the awful chain sushi and ramen places like a sheep or be a GOAT and eat here instead. Personally a recommendation from me.

Grounded Kitchen at the Metrocentre is great for a healthy Korean meal with friends! Their bowls, like the Bao Buns, are delicious and fresh. Plus, their drinks like the Mango Glow are perfect for a weekend outing.

We had bibimbap which had nothing in common with an actual Korean bibimbap. Kimchi was again not kimchi but a soggy vinegary sauerkraut. I don't understand how they can call themselves Korean restaurant. Howerer the Staff was nice and friendly.

Well overpriced, mediocre food (small portions and kimchi nearly not existent in ramen, few scraps (20grams top) of way overcooked beef. Reheated chicken wings. Not for the real fans of Korean food. Disgusting toilet. Avoid if possible. You can find way better and cheaper places

Next level, been 4 times now to try a bit of everything and it’s gets better each time. There are some awful places to eat in the metrocentre this is an absolute hidden gem, healthy, delicious, great value and great portion sizes

We had to change tables twice due to them being covered in sticky residue, eventually found one that was less offensive that the others and settled down there. Rice burnt, ramen overcooked, tofu burnt, chicken burnt. The only thing that wasn't burnt was the mango smoothie. Service was that of a fast food restaurant, scan a QR code and get handed your food. Food was overpriced for what it was, you can get 10x better Korean food in Newcastle for half the price. Multiple posters around the restaurant with "Soul of Korea" plastered across the front even though the posters were that of towns in Vietnam. Definitely won't be going back, and would recommend others going to different Asian restaurants inside the Metrocentre.

In all my life Never have I had food what tasted so bad. The pricing for 2 pots of noodles is unnecessary. Imagine paying £35 for noodles what taste absolutely horrid. (Wings were nice) I wouldn’t recommend this overpriced and disgusting food.

Really pretty decor and good selection of food but that's about it for positives. It was very expensive for what you got and checking the online menu, many items were missing such as the bao. The online menu also charged extra and was very confusing to navigate such as not showing the vegetarian items like the paper menu does, do we decided to order at the counter. I did notice that the place seemed dirty as mentioned by someone else. I'm not sure I'd go back as I've had better nourish bowls from other places that weren't so pricy.

Amazing flavours, fast and fresh. The spices were on point, they have a kids menu too so don't be shy to take them. Only issue for me, it's in the Metro Centre...

Been to visit grounded kitchen twice now and each time has been a terrific experience, amazing service, very tasty authentic food with a wide selection at affordable prices. The staff are always welcoming and happy to guide you through the dishes, I got the Udon noodle fire both and it was very tasty on both occasions, I will definitely be returning.

This was our first visit. Kate noticed us struggling a bit with the menu and offered help. Very nice lady and very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back

Avoid the fish. For the price paid you would expect fresh salmon rather than tinned salmon with a very off putting smell. The Beef is nice in the bulgoi bowl but costs extra. We did complain about the salmon and got a refund which is good.

What a great experience had at the metro centre Branch today. The food was exceptional! Big shout out to Kate and all the staff for making us feel so welcome. The staff were also so accommodating to my little girl. Will be back very soon!

10/10. Lovely service & fantastic food to go with it. The menu takes some getting used too but we have been a couple of times now and every bowl ordered has been amazing! Great portion sizes and very healthy in comparison to other options near by.The Boa buns are my favourite from the menu and the selection of soft drinks is great too! I can't wait to be back.

Now. I must firstly admit, I’m a pasty white boy from the North of England so I may overestimate the quality of the food offered at the Grounded Kitchen - but damn - that udon noodle bowl was utterly fantastic! Seriously, after a mystifying experience with their table based orders system (needing an account first), a pricey menu, and a lacklustre offering of beverages I was ready to be disappointed. The udon bowl had different ideas. Maybe it’s the standard of offering’s in the north east, maybe it’s my palate attuned to beige chinese buffet food, but whatever the reason, the Grounded Kitchen has set a new bar for flavour and will remain a firm favourite over the pale and stale offerings available county wide. Slap me with some table service and mood lighting and I’ll slap on a 5*.

We went for quick lunch today in metro center and we were so pleased, the food are delicious, the portion is decent as well as the prices. We had bibimbab, Korean chicken wings and Udon and they were lovely ! Highly recommended!

The food is really delicious and of outstanding taste, quick service, friendly staff, we tried different plates and dessert all were so tasty. Portions are good to the price. They serve halal beef and chicken, actually all the menu was halal. I would strongly recommend and definitely going back again.

Tasty food but very small portions and fairly pricey for the amount you recieve.

Me and my wife wanted to try an Asian cuisine and a Thai restaurant we wanted to go wouldn’t take us in. So we ended up here and boy thank god we did. It was very straightforward to grab a seat and order (through the QR code). Minimum interaction with the staff - which I don’t mind at all. The food was out of this world and of very good quantity. They had a good amount of options for vegetarians as well. Overall a true five star experience.

Just tried the salmon bao buns and wasn't sure what to expect. 10/10 perfect food

One of the most expensive and overpriced restaurants in the metrocentre. This sub par Korean chain provided me and my girlfiend with a main each, two bao buns and a smoothie for almost £70!!! Naturally this left our expectations high but what arrived was food on a fast food style tray in cardboard containers and wooden takeaway style cutlery. The baos were cold and the main noodle dishes somewhat small filled with unseasoned tofu. It seems all the dishes here are not fresh and handmade but a generic chain serving almost microwave quality food. The jaw dropping London prices and the dislikable atmosphere surrounded by dirty tables and not even music being played makes this one of the worst metrocentre food options and one I will never return to

I can’t say anything bad about this place however the worker I think she was called Emma or Emily, I got quite rude customer service from her I wasn’t greeted when I came in and when I asked for some recommendations she just started at me and said nothing which I found quite odd, secondly I asked for fire noodles with chicken and I got a complete different order with salmon and I don’t eat salmon so this was a big disappointment from me. her service was very slow and is if we didn’t exist to her other than that it is a great restaurant I just feel as this Emma need a bit more training in customer service and the menu as we didn’t receive what we order and the customer service skill was lacking greatly.
