Food was very good: Seafood Tagliatelle, La Passione Risotto, and chocolate soufflé desert was fab but accompanying ice cream not good. The service was attentive if a little inexperienced. Atmosphere isn’t sophisticated but it’s fine. I would go again for the food alone.

Wow! Really impressed by the food here, it was absolutely delicious. We were staying near by in the half term holiday & booked in. Decor is really cute, really nice atmosphere & welcoming staff. I always dread the creamy sauces in restaurants as they’re massively rich & heavy & can make me feel horrible ..but the chicken with mushroom sauce & veg dish was just perfect! Hubby had the pork & again says it was one of the best meals he’s eaten, so tasty. My teen daughters had the Ragu & believe me they know a good spaghetti sauce when they have one & both gobbled it up! Great service too. Definitely recommend going here for sure! Didn’t get photos we ate it all to quick!

Fantastic friendly service, great vegetarian food that was well cooked and seasoned! We visit here every time we come to Cirencester - it’s our go-to breakfast/brunch. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s fab and a great local cafe in the town.

Comfy banquette seating and nice vibe in this Italian restaurant. Lasagne was very tasty and the carbonara was delicious! Staff were very nice and there was a good buzz to the place. Good value too!

We popped in here for lunch while visiting Cirencester for the day. We were made to feel welcome when we entered with waiter being very attentive. The food was excellent and very tasty, with only a short wait. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

We had a lovely meal at Igloo on Saturday. The restaurant was busy with a large party in but the service was still good. I had the goats cheese starter and my son had the sticky chicken. For mains I had the pork bibimbap and my son the pork banh mi burger. Everything was delicious and the portions were a good size.

Amazing food which was absolutely delicious. Fantastic service and very warm staff, cannot wait to return!

I see why the ratings for this restaurant are so high. Friendly family run business. Excellent food, we had the salt and pepper Octopus to start, delicious and plenty of it. The weather had a beef noodle bowl and a katsu curry. Again very tasty and big portions. Rounded off with a slice of homemade biscotti cheesecake. Yum! All this and it was less than £50. Great value. My new favourite place to eat in Cirencester. See you soon.

Super little spot. Great coffee and lovely people. Sausages are especially good!! Could do with a lick of paint and all the penguin decals suggest its not as good as it is. But it is very good and well worth a visit.

Fantastic customer service, very busy restaurant, 4 of us, we hadn't booked but they found us a table upstairs for a drink while we waited for a table downstairs where there was a lovely atmosphere. Nibbles of bread, oil and olives were very nice. 4 different mains were all delicious, served hot with a great variety of potatoes, pasta and vegetables. Drinks and meals were reasonably priced and great value for money. Highly recommended.

Found this place via Google while looking for something family friendly for an early dinner while on holiday here. We didn't book, but they were so welcoming to us and our two boys (4&1). The younger one was super grumpy and they did everything they could to cheer him up with us. So kind! Good menu, good execution, lovely people. obviously quite popular with locals and deservedly so.

We were looking for somewhere in Cirencester for lunch for my daughter, my little granddaughter and myself a coeliac. No problem here. An amazingly delicious gluten free pizza ( they mention that they can do most of the menu gluten free ) and my daughter enjoyed her carbonara and my granddaughter did her best to polish off her childs size pizza. Very attentive service and value for money and a busy lunch time with both locals and visitors. A great friendly atmosphere. This will be our first port of call on future visits to Cirencester. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Found La Passsione completely by accident during a flying visit to Cirencester. The menu is varied, and the food was served piping hot. Both our dishes were delicious and the portions were perfect. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend a visit

Great breakfast! Big portion sizes. Also had the Berry Smoothie which I’d recommend. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to fit us in for a Saturday Brunch :)

Upon entering, it’s a little rustic, ‘cafe’ or basic looking, but that lets the service & food do the talking. I went there for a late breakfast which, although such a common dish, isn’t easy to do well. The place I’d previously frequented has a very ‘emotional’ chef who will not make accommodations or substitutions, & upon my asking for the white of my poached egg to be cooked, please, returned to the ‘egg of spite’ which was clearly cooked for about ten minutes, rendering it rock solid! A new vendor was sought! My sister takes her kids to Igloo as they have a dairy allergy & they’ve always come out very happy. I must admit, I was expecting all wheat grass and poke bowls, but it was fantastic! A good home cooked breakfast of bacon, poached eggs & buttered toast was delivered perfectly done, with huge, orange yolks that tasted like liquid sunshine! Proper fresh bacon, not ‘supermarket bacon’ that leaks that white residue they pump it with. Affordable too! I have a friend who’s vegetarian & she has a hell of a time finding somewhere that hasn’t just substituted the meat for cauliflower, tofu or courgette! We’ll be going to Igloo. Oh, and the one-star review below from ‘Valentina’? 🙄 Are you sure you want to post that when it’s clear that you are the ONLY person with any complaints, that your complaints are subjective (reviews are meant to point out objective issues and factual statements that everyone will find to be true, such as ‘the food was burned’ or ‘the wine list is too small’. It’s not there for you to list your personal dislikes that the restaurant could never know, such as ‘It was too creamy’. No, love. YOU FOUND IT too creamy. The fact that it’s still on the menu after dozens of others have complimented it means that’s a ‘you’ problem, and you can’t instruct other customers to ‘avoid avoid avoid’ a restaurant because they didn’t meet YOUR expectations that you didn’t tell them existed. We get it - you have no taste - and you’re absolutely correct that anyone else like you should avoid Igloo (loyal customers don’t want to have to listen to your privileged whinging) but for those who have never been, unless you are like Valentina here, who will happily try to ruin a business and prevent people from patronising it simply because she didn’t have the experience she wanted, who will go behind the owners back, wait until she’s home and then find fault with every perfectly edible dish she was presented, having not said a word at the time or given them the opportunity to fix the issue, who feels powerful on social media because she feels utterly redundant in her real life…then DO try Igloo, because I guarantee you, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they’ll go to any reasonable length to ensure you enjoy your meal and you’ll leave genuinely satisfied. Don’t be like Valentina. Valentines that girl whose Dad surprised her with a Porsche when she left school and she had a tantrum because it wasn’t a G-Wagon or whatever. You know the video I’m talking about. Valentinas are an occupational hazard. 5/5 guys. Nicely done, every time I’ve been in.

Best place to eat in Cirencester the daddy burger is so good grate staff too definitely recommend

We found this restaurant by accident, and so glad we did as it was brilliant, so much so we came back that way from our holiday just to eat there before heading onto home. The food was freshly cooked and was great tasting, the menu was pretty vast so we had plenty of choice. The puddings were also out of this world, I'm not sure I've ever seen such a big profiterole! My daughter (10yo) loved her pizza and practically cleared her plate, only leaving a couple of crusts as was full.

My family and I (along with our almost 1 year old puppy) had a super meal at Igloo on a rainy Thursday evening and it brightened up our day. The staff were super friendly and made a real effort to settle the dog and meet our needs. The food was fabulous (seared tuna bimimbap bowl for me followed by pear crumble) I would highly recommend and would be visiting again if we were in the Cotswolds for longer but sadly this was our last evening here. This was a great way to end the week though.

Was a really good meal. Brilliantly cooked and well priced. We chose Igloo because it had a good range of dishes - some of the old favourites (ribs come highly recommended and another table's burgers looked great) but also some East Asian options (poke bowls, katsu curry and bibimbap) which appealed to us. We wanted to escape identikit pub grub and it totally delivered on this. They have vegan and veggie (bibimbap with egg recommended) options including vegan dessert with vanilla ice cream - great for our lactose intolerant daughter who often loses out on desserts - and some GF options if that's for you. The service should really have six stars. Very attentive and friendly. We arrived just after a large party and the communication around that was really clear - we'd wanted a later booking so were in no rush but it was handled really well. Decor-wise it is more cafe vibe than restaurant but this just adds to a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We're on holiday but will attempt a second meal next week before heading home which is the ultimate praise. Yes, I will be ordering ribs. People of Cirencester support this local gem!

Nice atmosphere and staff really friendly. The food was tasty, hot , good portion sizes and so reasonably priced. Tables a bit close together but that's the only very slight negative. Will definitely return.

Just the very best carbonara I have ever tasted. And only found because we wanted to avoid the all pervading Sunday carvery! Simply just popped in and what an excellent decision in this wonderful town. Super welcome and, not only did the water arrived, they filled up our glasses.

Service was good. Food tasty portions are average size. Tables a little small to move elbows . Be aware of a 10% service charge added to the bill. Would have been useful to have proper table napkins for the usual sauce splashes.

We were bopping around the Cotswolds and found this place. The food was very tasty. I got a Bibimbap bowl, my hubby a Poke bowl. Both were very good. Reasonably priced. We did wait a bit for the check.

Absolutely lovely kind hearted staff , prices are fair for Cirencester. My only very slight concern. The food can sometimes is either overcooked if it’s chicken , or undercooked if it’s beef. The flavours are great and the food tastes fresh. A big concern for me is sauce quantities. I feel as if purchasing a sauce whether it is in the shop or uber Is very very scarce. For someone like me , it’s really a deal breaker. If I have peppercorn sauce with my meal and it implies smothered , I kinda expect it to be half generous. When paying an extra £2.50 for a sauce , and it arrived in a tiny pot or in a very minimalist tub and filled half way. It makes me feel punished as a consumer for choosing what I want. My only advice would be thermometer usage and to ensure the customer has enough sauce/garnish. Staff are 10/10. Who doesn’t love a good dog friendly restaurant! 11/10. Phone does not work unfortunately. ?/10

My wife and I + Bailey puppy called in for a breakfast and not only was the food 1st class the service beyond normal, very friendly staff nothing was to much trouble for us and Bailey. I highly recommend this place so give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Food was OK. Maybe I'm out of touch but quite expensive. 4 x 1 course plus 4 drinks = £112. Definitely underwhelming as far as ambience. This was booked in a hurry at the last minute so we didn't look around.

The undisputed king of the full English in Cirencester*. A weekly Saturday pilgrimage with the family. And we’ve tried all alternatives. Great value, super portions, good quality and lovely staff. Make Igloo your go to in Town. * equally great for lunch and dinner!

What a discovery! In Cirencester for the day only and not knowing the area 5 of us plus dog were seeking a good place for lunch. Our group included a wheelchair user and a coeliac. Tom at Igloo was very helpful over the phone and had a table for us where we enjoyed a superb lunch in a very cosy and quirky setting. Both Tom and Phoebe looked after us with great care, humour and efficiency. I was so impressed that a tiny restaurant was able to be so aware and serve food coeliac choices. Highly recommended and thank you for a really enjoyable meal.

Food was excellent and staff was welcoming and answered our questions... even though it was just 10 min before they stopped serving lunch (we had called ahead to let them know we were coming). 3 of us got different meals and they were all great! Would definitely return! The paid car park is less than a 10 min walk around.

Ordered a takeaway. Food arrived hot, it looked amazing. It was bursting with flavour. I’d eat this everyday if I could! This will definitely be my go to takeaway.

I originally went out to find the igloo because of a happy cow review stating that there were many vegan options and meals that could be made vegan. Not only were the vegan options great but the staff were all very lovely and very accommodating to my partner who has a tomato allergy. I would like to specifically mention that Phoebe was brilliant with her customer service, information and handling of my partners allergy. Many restaurants will hear of an unusual allergy and make the experience awkward and uncomfortable but Phoebe was brilliant and also followed up with cross contamination risks to make sure he’d be okay. 10/10 would eat here again!

Very good Italian food at a reasonable price. Garlic bread, misto salad and margarita pizza were all top notch. A good choice

Food was so original and super tasty

Having worked in hospitality for over a decade I’ve come to really appreciate certain aspects of the industry. I love service, obsessed with drinks and my world revolves around food. I’ve had almost every item on the menu over my months of eating here. The service is impeccable. So many friendly faces that run a well oiled yet relaxed environment. The owners don’t just run the business, they are hands on with both the kitchen and the front of house. The front of house are just always so consistently approachable and really make you feel apart of their world and the home they call Igloo. The food by the incredible Amber & Ollie is always delicious and they truly try to cater for every intolerance and dietary requirement. If you long for consistency and just an all round family atmosphere , look no further. Bring your kids, bring the dog and truly indulge in the lovely igloo.

My wife and I were visiting locally based friends and we were a party of five for an evening booking . Very friendly and knowledgeable staff , I love Italian food ( and wine !!) and what we had at La Passione was outstanding from starters all the way to coffee and a large Di Sarrono , excellent and comprehensive menu and wine list at very good value for money prices We will be back

Great food and service . It felt like Italy. The ambiance was warm and friendly and we felt we were in good hands from the off. Christian knows how to treat a good chianti. We thought the menu gave us a good choice and the meals did not disappoint. The service was extra good. They went the extra mile for us.

My partner and I popped in for dinner on a Friday night. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer on the cocktails, which were delicious! The food we had was truly yummy and large portions. Our waitress was hilarious and everyone was extremely friendly. We has a great meal and we're both really happy we chose the restaurant.

Just over a week ago, [and I can remember it well] my brother and his partner, travelling from Ireland via Sidmouth, my sister, coming from near Hereford, and I and my wife from Croydon, South London, met here for lunch, at the recommendation of my brother who is something of a dining connoisseur - when he lived and worked in Europe travelling from Norway to Spain, he was employed to review crème brûlées, and only them, for Michelin... We arrived and were allowed to park in the staff parking at the rear, were swiftly provided with our choice, as all were driving, of 0-alchohol beers and all chose from the 2-course lunch menu. There was strangely only one other table occupied for Tuesday lunch, but two other groups came and went while we were there. It's a small and intimate place with a definitely relaxed family feel to it. My starter of breaded mozzarella with a pomadoro [tomato] sauce was richly flavoursome, with a crisp and varied salad and simple dressing, and whetted my appetite for the main of Linguine Funghi - pasta in an unctuously creamy prosecco sauce with mushrooms, garlic, spring onions and cherry tomatoes, the ultimately tasty comfort food on a cold and blustery day. My wife's starter [we shared a taste of each] of breaded whitebait with lemon, garlic and mayonnaise with salad was a pretty combination of textures and very fresh. Her seabass fillet with mussels braised in wine, chilli and garlic with a pomorodo sauce was cooked to perfection, tender and sweet, as were the potatoes and brocolli accompanying. My brother and sisters choices were just as faultlessly excellent. And despite my brothers normal prohibition of desserts [too many crème brûlées...] especially at lunchtime, and by the fact that my sister had brought some of her justifiably famous chocolate brownies for us all, and that they were additional to the 2-course menu, we were all tempted - my wife by profiteroles [we shared half and half as usual..], which were just sumptuously creamy without the chocolate glaze being too sweet, and I by the palate-cleansing lemon sorbet, which was raised to heights I'd not experienced before by the addition of Limoncello. Both also chosen by my brothers partner and my sister. My brother chose to ask for a dessert not actually on the menu, an Afogato [vanilla ice cream, a punch of espresso, and a shot of coffee liqueur] which was swiftly provided. The service was discreetly attentive, flexible, smiling and swift, and the whole experience was just a delight. And really very reasonably priced indeed for such extraordinarily good food, of a class that lifts it way above the ordinary of many others of a similar price range. I cannot commend the place, the people and its food enough, and all thanks to them for a truly pleasurable family gathering.

We had a lovely time back in early January...been meaning to post the review since then. The staff were so friendly. Typical pub vibe, ribs were fantastic and so was the calamari starter. We had a great evening. Nothing was a hassle... that counts for a lot these days

Really enjoyed our visit. Interesting menu with good options for everyone. Service was good although I was never asked how I like my steak cooked and it came very rare so others who are a bit more particular may have found fault there. For that service has 3 stars.

We booked a table for 10 & were served excellent food with fantastic service in a lovely warm atmosphere in a super place for a 21st Birthday celebration. The Staff made us feel welcome & made our evening feel superb. We will book again very soon for another wonderful evening to be enjoyed at the Igloo Restaurant. Just incredible! My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday 20th January, and we cannot fault a thing. The staff were lovely, very knowledgeable about the menu and the service was prompt. Cocktails were lovely! The food was really fresh and had so much flavour to it, we had the best night. We’ll definitely be visiting again when we’re back in Cirencester - thank you!

Booked for New Year’s Eve and had a lovely meal, the food is delicious and good sized servings. Nice relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff who are attentive but not overbearing . We would definitely recommend La Passione.

An ok restaurant independently run. Food was fine, nothing special. Upstairs was a bit stark in appearance. OK for a one off, hope they learn more on the seasoning, extras on their food.

We had a lovely time tonight (11/12/23) at Igloo. Katie was an incredible server, we both agree that we probably had the best customer service we’ve had up to date anywhere. The food was really lovely, all starters, mains and deserts. Drinks were super yummy too! Will recommend to anyone in the area! Thank you for a great night! They also have an impressive number and quality of vegetarian options which we were struggling to find elsewhere in Cirencester!

It was tasty food and the service was good BUT I felt like we'd been fleeced when we left. I honestly don't mind paying for soda water even though it comes out of the soda tap but £3.45 for each pint of soda water is just ridiculous for something that other establishments will provide for free. Also I only got two meatballs with my pasta. Tasty food but will not be going again.

Spent a lazy Saturday Lunchtime here with my sister. On arrival we were quick to be seated and drinks followed soon after. We ordered the Steak and the Chicken and Bacon salad and the staff were very helpful with some dietry needs we had. Both meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again when we're next in Cirencester

Extensive menu, everything we’ve eaten there Poke bowl, Katsu chicken curry, bao buns, sharing Camembert, enchiladas has been delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. Looking forward to trying their Sunday roast soon!

We had a lovely lunch here. Really tasty food. Good portion sizes. Friendly and efficient service. We shared calamari and prawns for starters which were cooked perfectly and came with a yummy dip. I had a chicken and bacon salad which . My husband had steak, ribs, chips and onion rings, steak was cooked well. Prices were very reasonable, we will definitely be returning!

Was just passing, but so glad I popped in! We arrived 11.35 but wanted to wait until the lunch menu. This was not a problem, we were allowed to order from 11.45 from the main menu. The fresh juice was so good and the food was excellent! It was just me and my 3 year old, they were very welcoming. Strongly recommend, thank you!

I normally eat in the restaurant but today used deliveroo. Online stated to call provider if any allergens/preferences. I placed order then immediately called. I was told they could not do anything with the order ( leave the cranberry off the burger) as they do not know who’s order is who’s and they have had allegen issues in the past so they no longer do it. I asked to cancel and was told have to talk to deliveroo. I contacted deliveroo to be told already starting cooking so can’t cancel. I therefore ended up with a burger I couldn’t eat.

Lovely dinner with a group of 23 Italian young students. The staff were very friendly and patient. The food delicious.

5 of us had brunch at Igloo - it was really lovely. Portions are very generous and the food beautifully cooked. Coffee is fantastic! They were busy and we lingered over our food for ages but felt no pressure to move. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.
