Moon Under Water in Enfield

Ordered haggis and whisky sauce (the reason we came here was for the whisky sauce!) Food came out but no sauce and we weren't told - I had to ask where it was. Staff refused to swap for a dish I would've preferred. Why was the sauce still on the menu?!!

Very friendly staff, the service for the food is very quick. Didnt realise, I knew everybody that goes in there.

I went with my friends over the weekend and asked for chips, explained I have serious gluten allergy. They ensured me the chips are gluten free and can be done in a separate fryer from gluten containing meals. Unfortunately that evening I experienced a flare up which is serious and when contacted to inform them they were anything but helpful. They gave the standard reply of a website provides information of allergies etc etc. However i ordered in person with somebody behind the bar. Staff behind the bar ensured me the chips being gluten free, if they had informed me of a cross contamination risk or they are in fact made in the same fryer as gluten I would not have ordered. The communication and knowledge of their allergies between kitchen and bar staff clearly needs updating and training. I experienced a serious allergic reaction from their lack of training and information provided. Would return for a drink but never order food with them again.

Friendly & helpful staff. I really like the Guest Ale selection they have. I'm not so keen on the food, although others I'm with find it OK. Nice large pub and kept clean, allows in children but they do ask for them not to run around for safety reasons, and there is a large outside seating area.

Grabbed a feed and a few frothys from this joint, really well priced and couldn't complain about the food turkey roast was spot on and the misses got the fish and chips, if you're from Auz go check it out service was spot on as well be going back tomorrow.

Good beer, good price.Food is getting awful though. Scampi and chips...8 pieces of succulent Scampi...yeh right , when I complained the server said that's what it is

Wide choice of draught, craft and bottled beer as well as a varied food menu(not much for vegetarians). Excellent week wide offers as well as weekday afternoon offers👍👍👍 Only negative is that they do not allow pets....even outside which I found negative

Friends took me for a birthday/retirement meal. Excellant atmosphere and food. Only downfall was we couldn’t all get on a table together. They don’t take reservations so it’s pot luck if you get a table. In defence of the pub it was a Friday evening and it was extremely busy.

Excellent service and had stock of rose wine which some of the other pubs in the chain have run out

No fish and chips always the same here. It was a Tuesday.been like it for years pre COVID even.. the cuppichino weak as p*ss added xtra Coffey in it. Look like ppl were eating just burgers. Very noisy ppl. .not much seating to eat food. all the drinkers in them seats and the take.over. still pop in occasionally Bar staff grumpy. Tho.

A pleasant airy pub quite near the town centre.But the staff attitude is atrocious I was waiting to be served and overheard a disabled man who'd complained that people had been served in front of him to leave if he didn't like it .If this is wetherspoons policy I'm surprised they're still in business

Stopped here for the burger and a beer lunch. Cheap, good, sat outside in the sun. What's not to like?

Fantastic inside and garden space, great food, perhaps the tiny steps could be made into a ramp for accessibility. Overall good experience, we all had 2 meals each, with soft drinks and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We surely will be back. Thanks to all staff for the lovely family time.

Had food in the pub the fish and chips was so thin full of batter went and complained the bar staff were very rude have know social skills they lack politeness and the food is all micro wave wish they would cook Proper English food people could enjoy

Food was good but the starters came out at the same time as mains even though I ordered the starters 20mins before the mains.

I had a breakfast with my friends today , we where about the leave the property we been accused to had extra meal with out paying, ( I think she is a manager ) she was so Loud she made sure everyone can hear her voice, I showed to her our receipt she said she checked our receipt already. We where first shocked we didn’t know what was going on . When I said I didn’t like your approach and we had what we paid . She went back to till spoke to waiter and come back said sorry , it was a mistake. Never ever go back . Also food was cold we couldn’t even finish our food .

To cut a long story short everyone in my group who ordered steak got food poisoning. Quality control is lacking at this establishment. They also messed up 3 orders. I used to love this place but they really need to do better.

Service and cask ales are always good here. The staff are clued up on the real ales.

Food is alright, nothing special lol. Service is again okay, it takes so long to get a drink and if you order on the app it takes a good 10 minutes before arriving. The atmosphere is dead, no music and the guards always come over and stare.

Next to perfect, affordable drinks and food stellar atmosphere and fabulous staff. The literal definition of a "local watering hole".

They never clear up and wipe down quick enough. Always looks a mess when you arrive. Food always good and prices very reasonable. Needs refurbishment.asap.

Above average Spoons off the beaten track up in Enfield. Usually a few interesting ales for us beardy types, and a peaceful environment to sit and chill or have a chat. Some outdoor seating and places to park your bike... always useful! A nice walk up the New River from Enfield Town station.

Staff were not at all welcoming on arrival. Stood at the bar for a while which was not very busy, two female staff members wouldn’t even make eye contact never mind a hello. Asked one of the ladies if we had to order the food at the bar, without any eye contact said ‘yes’ and then walked off. Five minutes or so went by when a guy who had been serving drinks to tables appeared behind the bar welcomed us and cheerfully took our order. Thank you Arran. Main food we ordered was lovely for the price paid, well worth it and drinks were lovely and chilled. The chocolate fudge cake for dessert wasn’t so edible, cake seemed dry and stale. Although the table was cleared and wiped before we sat down the table and chairs were very sticky, need a good deep clean. Again, thank you Arran you were very helpful, friendly and polite, an asset to the company

The pud is nice and clean, drinks are at a good price, however the only annoying thing is that after 9pm we are not allowed with drinks outside. There than that it’s good

Normally a half decent establishment, but of late the service has diminished or non existent. The food is cheap for a reason but is no excuse to run out of staples ie chips, chicken strips and the like. When you do get the food it is mostly cremated. If you are not botherd by this, stop by and fill your boots.

Good food, excellent real ale, friendly service

Clean, lively, food was good, although the waiter that brought the food out was rude, gentleman with a grey moustache. I asked if I could get some bags chilli dip on the side of my chicken shawarma wrap and ge looked at me like I was crazy and simply said no. But the rest of the food was lovely, we had a great catch up with friends

We go to wetherspoons all over the place as a family. This one is a working mens pub and not really for family.

l ordered a mix grill which took around 40 mins to arrive. It was the worst mix grill I have ever had, the steak was burnt to a cinder beyond recognition and other joints were so thin and overcooked they were left on the plate

Drinks were all okay, but I ordered a 12 inch wrap, which cost £5.70 and I was told by the staff i ordered small wrap when i had proof on the wrtherspoons app of the wrap I ordered. I showed proof of my order and the man behind the bar then got  annoyed by rolling he's  eyes and making a siying noise then claimed he went to the back to ask the chef, and he said the chef said that is the right size. There is a lot inside the wrap, making it a 12-inch large wrap. It looked smsll like a child's  meal.q My 2 friends' food was cold, and 1 asked for a wrap but got panini  my friends said it was tastless, horrible, and felt as if it was warmed up in a microwave. Most of everyones food, including my one, was left on the plate by all of us due to the bad quality and quantity of the food given. never order food at The Moon Under water in Chase Side Enfield unless you want bad food.

Good sized pub with plenty of tables and an outside area. Usual wetherspoons with cheap food and drink. Found the staff very friendly and had quick service. Will no doubt be back again.

Went here today for the first time was very clean staff was very polite and friendly and helpful,We ordered 2 fish meals,waited about 10 minutes When it arrived what can I say EVER THINK WAS HOT I MEAN HOT not like some We have been to, We could not find any vinegar when asked someone from the management team if there was any she went down to the fish shop and brought a bottle for us she went above and beyond will give them 10-10 will definitely be back 😀 👏👏⁹

Enfield chaseside, the place was very busy with loads of people eating so that was a good sign. Ordered from the app and the service for the drinks was very quick and served by a smiling waitress. Food followed soon after, boneless chicken basket.... All was hot and cooked through. Chips were nice and crispy... Would order this again.... Got served the wrong desert but that was quickly rectified and all was right again in Weatherspoons world..

There's the normal good wetherspoons menu with something for most tastes. There's loads of seating inside and out. What used to be the carpark is now a seating area. The service was so quick and the staff was really friendly. For the price you can't go wrong. Food was well prepared and had great portion sizes.

Lovely building, service is great, and wetherspoon chicken wings are a great standard.

Nice, quiet pub for breakfast, a short and pleasant walk away from the centre of town. Fast, friendly service and the usual low prices.

The menu at the Moon is varied and the service is usually good. The food is normally of a good quality and the location is discreet. Some parking facilities are available. The small car park on site holds about ten vehicles so you might have to try your luck getting a parking space in or off the adjacent road. Toilet facilities are on site and there is disabled access at the back.

Love this pub and the staff are so friendly.. sadly the breakfast let's them down 2 days running the food waas cold and sent back both days but no improvement sadly as the rest of the menu and meals are good. Please chef get the breakfast hot ..

Wetherspoons does what it says on the tin, good prices, value. Some of the staff can be hit & miss, although the Security are some of the nicest & friendliest guys you will ever come across; hey it's local. You get more than what you pay for 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I LOVE their re-fill hot chocolate 🤤i had a year ago. And returned a year later 16.12.2023 and had these lovely cocktails.

Nice pub but takes ages to get served

Popped in before eating out elsewhere.Have to say it had a good vibe about it.Drinks as always were tremendous value,and the staff I can't fault them.Didnt eat there so no opinions,but what I saw coming out looked ok to me.Look,it's a Wetherspoons,but as they go,this is a better one

Wetherspoons are great...cheap and reasonably good food.. and cheap drinks.... double Jim Beams for £4.35 all day every day... finishing today on two for £7 white Russians... tastes nice.. but advice to staff is shake or stir your cocktails a bit better as it was clear that the kalua was on the bottom and hadn't been mixed well enough.. and milk will sit on top if not mixed enough.. it was easily rectified with a straw though!

Good food at very affordable prices

This is my favorite place to eat. From Curry night to Steak night all great.

Attentive staff and a clean pub all round. The Leffe was particularly good, although the Carlsberg did seem a bit watery. Overall, a fairly decent pub. NB. Didn't have any food so cannot comment.

Chloe has amazing hospitality skills made us feel so welcome here and her service was brilliant! Really loved visiting she made it so worth it! 10/10 would definitely come back!

Normally food is good for what it is. Today was the worse food I’ve had in there. Cold breakfast hot sausage but cold to the touch bacon and beans the egg was really over cooked. no toast with breakfast so paid £4:90 for some . Which was cold and really tight with butter.!! Was one of my favourites but not after today Staff are always well mannered and polite. But food was awful today. Even the presentation was just thrown on a plate. Was horrible. Disappointing won’t be back for a while. Hopefully a new chef and improvements.
