Came here for my friend’s 40th birthday. It was the perfect venue, great food and fun atmosphere, largely down to the staff. Ethan, in particular was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and effortlessly charming. His knowledge of the menu helped us all choose the perfect meal and sides, and his impeccable service made our experience really enjoyable. Attentive and helpful, he went the extra mile to accommodate our requests. A true asset to the pub—we’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Roast this afternoon, the beef was delicious! Despite it being very busy, we were checked up on several times and the whole team including Max were super friendly. We booked for a Father of the Bride meal for 12 people and were looked after by Georgina Sian and Max who went out of their way to look after us. They set up the private dining room and were just amazing ensuring that we had such a memorable evening. It is is in times like these, where so many people are quick to write negative reviews that it is important to recognise the care and professionalism of the Robin Hood team. Would definitely book again for a special occasion, thank youo

Very rarely leave reviews but this restaurant deserves a special mention. The minestrone style soup with toast and cheese was delicious. However the service was so excellent by the 2 waitresses and 1 waiter we had. Beyond the call of duty. We were so grateful and its so rare these days. My husband, our toddler (2yo) and I had a great New Years Eve dinner at the Robinhood during the family party this year - the food & drinks were great, the staff were so friendly, patient and accommodating, and dare I say it was one of the most relaxing meals out we've had with our toddler because there was plenty of fun to keep her entertained. Have never done a meal out for NYE before but loved this family activity, 10/10, will definitely book for next year too. (We also like this pub and pub garden during the rest of the year too!)

Started off lovely with nice guy serving us then the drinks order was placed and they took so long to arrive and tasted awful I had to adapt mine with soda water, food came and not much matched the descriptions for example BBQ chicken strips was breaded chicken stripes with a bbq dip on the side. I paid roughly £19 for burger and chips and it was the absolute minimum on the plate no garnish, no onion rings just that. We ordered more drinks and 30 minutes later still no drinks when they came the birthday girls cocktail had to be returned as it was awful. I then cleared the table and the staff kept telling me "you don't need to do that" but my problem was that no one else was doing it! Also the allegens menue did not have all the items on so not accurate which is very dangerous. Not going back a real let down from such a great looking pub. My bill for 5 adults and 2 kids was over £220 absolutely not worth it.

Staff and service were excellent however, the music was far too loud. Asked for it to be turned down, was told it was the speaker, moved us, equally loud, couldn't hear ourselves talk. My beef was hard to cut and chewy. My partners pie was hot but the gravy served with it was cold and the broccoli/cauliflower cheese side dish was tepid. Couldn't be bothered to ask for it to be heated up as by this time I had a headache from the music/bad quality speakers and just wanted to go.

Went for a Sunday roast, quickly seated and I can’t fault the food or service, that was all great. Parking was easy. However, the only negative for me was the very strong smell of smoke throughout the pub from the fireplace. It actually smelt like a bonfire and was quite over powering. I had to put my clothes straight in the wash when I got home as they smelt like a bonfire. I am not sure if this was a one off or if that’s just how it smells during the colder months. Other than that, a lovely pub.

Georgie was very friendly and knowledgeable, she supported us exceptionally well - the meal came up with Allergy stick on it, so all staff were aware, and there would be no cross contamination - we were also given a card with all allergens in sauces, mayonnaise etc. Sometimes eating out can be a bit of a nightmare with allergies, but The Robin Hood made it so easy , we would recommend to anyone who has allergies in their family…. we will be back, thank you

We went to the Robin Hood Enfield on Friday 9th August. It was my son and I and we wanted to have a quick pub dinner in a nice setting. We had mains and desserts. I ordered the crab salad and my son ordered the fish and chips. Before ordering I asked the waitress if the crab salad was enough for a main course and she replied ‘yes definitely’. She did mention that I could add prawns or chicken to it but looking at the prices the salad was already £15.50 and adding anything would have pushed it to the £20 mark so I opted not to. When it arrived it was unrecognisable as a crab salad. It is in fact a potato salad. I struggled to find any crab at all. There were a few flakes that looked like they had come out of a can on top but I really do mean a tiny few flakes and they had no taste of crab at all. The rest of it was purely just potatoes. It was not a main course size but then I haven’t seen their starter size! In any event I could not have eaten any more potatoes in one course. My son had the fish and chips. Now, this is a pub. Pubs have a reputation for fish and chips that is normally one large battered piece of cod with a large amount of chips and normally some salad. Instead he got two very small pieces of fish and a handful of chips. When you looked at the plate, you saw more plate than main course. The tartare sauce tasted very much of Heinz salad cream with some herbs thrown in. Still hungry we now tried to decipher the dessert menu to guess what we would get. We both opted for the cherry pie. It was just wrong. The pastry was like a pork pie in a circle and inside it tasted of cherry jam. You would expect a slice of pie packed with black cherries as it was called a black cherry pie. The coffee was nice. The Pepsi max was okay and not too watered down as can happen in pubs. All in all it was a very disappointing meal and we spent £60! That is £30 a head and we only had a poor main and the cherry pie with two cokes and flat white. Just ridiculous. The worse thing is the pub is a lovely setting and the staff are quite efficient. So why does it have to be let down by such a poor chef and to charge those ridiculous prices? I will never eat here again. If you want to dine out in a pub in Enfield then you would be better off at The Gyphon in Grange Park. I hope the Robin Hood has a complete rethink about its dining offering.

Seems unfair to put service as 1 star, however it's the only way I can reflect our experience. The pub and food itself are good and actually the staff were (except one) very professional and good service. However I think its important I highlight an issue we experienced which contributed to our time at the pub. A lovely young girl was serving us our food and drinks, absolutely no issues with her service, she was polite and had a smile on her face. However an older lady came to assist, and the manner that she spoke to the younger girl left us all feeling extremely uncomfortable and honestly disgusted. The girl had brought the food out looking at the tables, we were 222 and the table next to us 223. She checked which one was which and for some unbeknown reason this really bothered the older lady. She shouted at her in, infront of us all "that's 222, thats 223, open your eyes" and walked off. This is not how I'd expect staff to be spoken too, let alone infront of customers. We made a point of saying at the time "wow that was a bit much" she didn't acknowledge us. When the young girl came back I asked if she was OK, she began to cry. My heart broke for her, she did not deserve to be spoken to in that way, the older lady was bullying her in my view. I asked for the manager when I left, and explained what happened. He was upset and said he would deal with it, I have since found out that it was infact his wife who spoke to the staff member in that way. I do hope he addressed this matter in a professional way leaving aside personal relationships. This has totally put us off visiting what is a lovely pub.

Finally, not as filling as you'd expect a roast dinner to be.

This review is no reflection on the food served here, which was lovely or the staffing who all seemed very polite and friendly, but unfortunately the reason I am posting this very negative review is due to the appalling social distancing measures I experienced here today. We were seated at a table for 2 persons right next to another much larger group who were sat at the two adjacent tables next to us , they had around 5- 6 children with them in addition to a number of adults who appeared to be all family and friends but avoiding the government rule of 6 only. Due to them being located at two different tables, they all seemed to be shouting over to one another to communicate, meaning we had to endure a lot of unwanted conversation. Now, why I understand children will be children and don't know how to apply the social distancing guidelines. There just appeared to be no measures taken whatsoever from anyone, with the children running around the tables next to us (non masked) and one of the adults even turning his chair around to the side of his own table leaving his back practically right next to us until I protested. The main table they were seated around was located in the middle of the floor and clearly not 2 metres away from our own. Another adult got up out from her chair at one point to stand right behind me (again without the use of any face mask) in order to take a picture of the bar code located on a nearby post applying a discount from the pubs app. Later two of the young girls aged around 7 - 8 years got up leaving their own family to play at an empty table nearest to the window climbing all over it, which I very much doubt will be disinfected for when the next persons arrive to sit there ? We came in for a nice quiet meal but were completely drowned out by noisy children and very inconsiderate adults who were with them. There were quite a few other empty tables around, so I really dont understand the reasoning of seating us all so close together. Plus I did note when booking online that we would be bringing a walking frame so presumably thought you would understand we would like a little space due to a vulnerable adult, but nevertheless presumed we would at least get our 2 metres- as per government guidelines. Obviously not! I feel at the very least the pub have a responsibility to explain to their customers the rules they are to abide by in order to keep everyone safe, and occasionally check around to see they are being adhered to as they did on my last visit. This pub I now would consider a very high risk and would suggest avoiding it at all costs.

Lovely food, great staff but Mcmullens have put all food prices up so can't afford to go too often which is a great shame.

All 17 of us were in the Maid Marian room and had fantastic meal and service. The Italian manager and his wife were friendly and welcoming. We were able to prebook. The staff gave prompt and attentive service. Definitely worth visiting for a meal.

Very friendly attentive staff, sat in the dog friendly bar area and they brought our pup a water bowl straight away. Food was good portions and delicious. Veggie mangalorean curry was very tasty and a large good portion of fish and chips. They also have a lovely garden area. I would definitely recommend.

Went for a special occasion with my family. On arrival the Italian host/manager was very friendly and welcoming and wished my son happy birthday which was a nice touch. We were seated in a nice corner table. All the staff were very friendly, polite and the place had a general feel of being very well organised and clean. The food was very well presented and of excellent quality. There is no service on the bill so make sure you leave a tip when paying. It was our first visit but definitely won’t be the last.

We went for my Birthday for a Sunday lunch. We waited an hour and 15 minutes-1hour and 30 mins for our main meal. We were asked after starters if we were ready for mains but still waiting 45 mins later. When the food arrived the veg was hard and beef was very undercooked it was red raw. The fish was not hake as stated and was under cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were rock hard. Then the cake was plonked down in a a bag instead of singing Happy Birthday like was offered in the beginning. It’s safe to say we will not be returning as even though we had the price of 3 meals taken off this just does not cut it

We pre booked a table for 5, it took 2 hrs till we got our food, which to be honest was well below par, this was because they said they had been really busy, but the place wasn't even a third full, when the food arrived I asked for some ketchup 10mins later I got up and found some myself (nobody came back). The evening experience was genuinely poor and very embarrassing to me as I suggested going there.

I’m adding to my previous review to say that to celebrate my mother’s 91st birthday we returned to this lovely pub. As we were again a large party and the conservatory wasn’t available this time we were in the private Maid Marian room which was perfect for us. Mandy and all the staff looked after us very well. We enjoyed the food and again had a lovely time. I highly recommend The Robin Hood pub. My family celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday lunch in the lovely conservatory overlooking the garden. 15 of us each chose different dishes and we were all very impressed by the excellent quality of the food and presentation. Compliments to the chef. I had looked at lots of unsuitable venues but when we saw this pub and chatted to Shelby about our booking I knew I could relax knowing this was the perfect venue. Rebecca and all the staff today were helpful, friendly and professional and we all very much enjoyed our special family celebration in this lovely pub 😊

We Went there today and was extremely disappointed the menu had changed the prices have gone sky high and the food is very disappointing. The £27 steak was fatty and flavourless and was cooked wrong the crab salad came straight out of the fridge. To be honest I wish I had gone to the weatherspoons. I won’t be returning

I came here as a colleague said there steak recommendations was good came here to no steak , apprently removed a week ago Wich is weird as this is a pub The wings was just wings with bbq sauce no seasoning plain Then my mate ordered a drink to wich he said only a splash and was rudely told that’s our fault so buy a new drink it’s not coming off me I know we’re just a pub but surely you can treat new guest a bit better and be more welcoming I’m sorry if you want staff that a knows what there doing as the first staff member said I don’t drink a blue lagoon Better welcome and happier bar staff go O’Neill that laugh with you they smile music is good and welcome strangers like family Here being a cultured woman feel like a animal in a zoo and uncomfortable we’re in 2025 I should not have to be made to feel like this I didn’t even bother to order more food I think they need to hire more cultured people who know how to build a atmosphere

Ordered haggis and whisky sauce (the reason we came here was for the whisky sauce!) Food came out but no sauce and we weren't told - I had to ask where it was. Staff refused to swap for a dish I would've preferred. Why was the sauce still on the menu?!!

We walked in on the off-chance today and managed to get a table for lunch. It was busy but we were seated promptly. Our server named Bonnie-Lee was superb! She was pleasant, efficient, patient and dynamic….. she kept the dining area running like clockwork! Our main courses were freshly cooked and delicious. We were quite full but given the wide variety of desserts we indulged - and are glad we did as they were heavenly!!! All in all a lovely dining experience and Bonnie-Lee deserves a promotion!!!!
