Nene Cafe Bistro Kitchen in Bromley

Really gone downhill! We are regular customers, there every other week. We reserved a table for lunch on Saturday, turned up at the right time and the extremely rude waiter said there's no tables for us because no one has left!! We said we reserved a table! He still refused rudely! As when we came 2 weeks ago on a Saturday, there were tables reserved and we were told because we don't have reservation we can't have a table. Today turned up with reservation and told no table!! You really know how to treat your regulars! Don't bother with this place, it's really gone downhill, go to Cote, much better food and excellent service.

Great bar but why did they take the mixed grill off the menu? We have been told it's coming back but when........ Highly recommended...

I can honestly say we have an absolute ball here, the music is absolute brilliant, if I could rate it 6 I would....

A real find. Excellent coffee in a decent sized cup. Very good value full English Breakfast or various other options . The service is friendly and welcoming. Decor is industrial/ rustic style and welcoming. Parking can be tricky but there is a car park behind the post office opposite . I am now a regular visitor.

Been here probably 10 times and always excellent food and service. Made to feel special in a relaxed way and the large portions get finished every time! Great value and be back soon....

We visited on a Tuesday evening - it wasn't terribly busy but still a nice atmosphere. The service was good and the portions generous. I had the shepherds lamb and my wife had kleftico- both very well cooked and good value for money - would recommend....

I went here for brunch with some friends. We received a warm welcome from the friendly staff who were attentive throughout our meal. The food was delicious and well-priced. Highly recommend.

Visited last Sunday lunchtime. Had a great meal with good food, big portions, very good service and great value for money - they even have a Sunday lunch menu which is cheaper. The service is always very good. Would highly recommend.

Café Nene's is a regular stop for us, we generally order the wraps which are delicious and generous. We seem to only ever order the elder flower cordial as it's just so darn fresh and fantastic. It's great with kids which is handy as Chislehurst rec is nearby.

Popped in mid morning last weekend for breakfast. The bistro is lovely. The decor is fab and the atmosphere is relaxed. The breakfast was very good and the coffee lovely. The service was good. We will definitely go back. It's especially good to have an independent in Chislehurst which opens early every day. I hope Cafe Nene will be very successful and I for one will be supporting this lovely bistro.

Went to Nene’s today for a birthday lunch with my mum and sister. The manager greeted us and was super friendly! it was very quiet which was nice and the restaurant has a very cosy and homely feel. The food was tasty and we really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was that when it came to payment, the waitress told us that service was not included (we already knew this because it was written on the bill) and asked us directly ‘how much service charge do you want to leave?’. We found that question to be too direct and almost felt expected to leave a tip. Perhaps consider rephrasing the question to ‘would you like to leave service charge?’ on this occasion, we decided not to leave service charge. Thank you for a nice lunch 😊

So we walked in and got seated by the waitress and no one returned for a good ten minutes was just left sitting there we was gonna leave at one point but we stayed. Eventually when they did decide to ask us if we wanted anything after being ignored for 10 minutes the coffee was really nice but my food was not so good. Scrambled eggs was tasteless absolutely no flavour in it what so ever on soggy bread that was meant to be toast so I sent it back. I then got an overcooked fried egg so for me didn’t go well maybe I need to show the chef how to cook good scrambled eggs and fried as well both very poor. My partner said her fry up was very nice We thought it was expensive 2 breakfasts 2 coffee’s at £30. Iv given it 3 stars only because my partner enjoyed her breakfast if it was based on me I would have give it 2 stars *UPDATE* So I went back for breakfast the service was very slow again took them ten minutes again to ask us if we wanted a drink. Also they have young kids in there working as waiters and waitresses with absolutely no experience and it certainly shows they are trying there best and seemed very nice people they seemed both very nervous. I had a full English breakfast and it was probably the nicest breakfast iv had.
