Starbucks - Village Hotel in Warrington

Great location and lovely rooms and bedding. The only negative was the pool is a bit smaller than other Village Hotels I have been to, but still a decent size. There was a fire alarm in the night which I've never experienced before but we were all back inside within 20 minutes. Breakfast is lovely, staff were all great. I would like to visit again at some point as I had a bad back when I went so had to stay in the room for most of the 2 days I was there. There are a lot of things to do and places to eat very close to the hotel.

Came down last week from Scotland for a course with the company I work for. Great facilities, great food and the room wasn’t bad either! Due to storm ‘Eoywn’ we tried to stay another night, but tried too late to secure a room. Managed to book across the road, and was told by CHRISTINE. That even though we couldn’t get booked @The Village, we could get complimentary access to the swimming pool and other areas. We ended up following the storm up north and didn’t take advantage of the offer unfortunately. I would highly recommend staying @The Village. CHRISTINE deserves acknowledgement from management as her customer service is second to none, as are all the other welcoming staff and bar staff etc. 10/10 experience. Would highly recommend.

Rooms are very basic, but the beds are comfy. Staff are very friendly. Bar área and gym both good but pool lounge area really poor and lots of kids swimming lessons so definitely not a spa.

A really nice hotel in a good central location. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help, but only one lift which can be very busy at peak check in/out times. I stayed in a club room, the room itself was a cosy, modern vibe with features such as a sitting area, advanced coffee making facilities and free WiFi, though it didn't seem as spacious as advertised. Bathroom was also nice with a bathtub and powerful shower, as well as a mobile head for washing hard to reach parts of your body. I ordered room service, decent selection of food items but a lack of soft drinks available. Food was nothing to shout about. As a solo autistic traveller who is trying to gain independence,the lowest point about my stay was a 10:45pm fire alarm, it is my biggest fear and scared me a lot. It was handled well by staff but afterward I was scared of going back in to get my stuff, and felt the need to check out early. I paid for 2 nights with breakfast and sadly couldn't complete the first night because of my fear. I am unable to find contact details to let them know and possibly get some form of a refund. Not saying it is the hotel's fault as these things cannot be helped but this made a mess of my experience.

It's just okay. Overpriced for what it is.

First time in Village Hotel Warrington and haven’t been disappointed at all. Definitely will visit again, hopefully for longer so we can enjoy some quality time. Staff were very nice and friendly, family room was massive with plenty of space and 4 people with comfy beds and nice bathroom. Swimming pool was fab, not too deep so suitable for kids and in addition with a jacuzzi and small babies pool, so perfect not only for couples, but for families too. Staff on leisure centre reception could of been a bit more informative especially to a new users as we have to walk in to the changing rooms to found out that you need to request a padlock back to reception… However nice Bar-Pub on the ground floor with great value for money food and Starbucks Caffee was the cherry on the pie.

Had an absolutely amazing time last night at husbands 60th. Food was good, room layout and cleanliness was excellent and staff are absolutely fabulous. From booking with Laura to the night, they cannot do enough for you and made the night spectacular. Thank you all so much ❤️

As a long term existing gym member, over 18 years, I have never been so let down by the disappointing service of staff on the Leisure desk. First point I have referred two new members and the village warrington, they offered a referral scheme which was advertised, I had to continuously chase for my referral reward. The second referral, they have not even bothered again to get in touch, or to let me know about my rewards, staff behind leisure reception not interested and not helpful, telling me they’ve referred this over to the manager in which they will get in touch with me and I’ve heard nothing, this has been going on for months and quite frankly, I am absolutely fed up of the poor communication. Also to add, we received a text last weekend to say that the Jacuzzi, the pool was closed. The Jacuzzi last week was cold and also the showers were cold. It was great to receive notification before setting off to visit for a swim However, they found it difficult to text to let us know that it was now back open and that all the facilities had been fixed. I am aware that the rooms here are nice, just don’t bother joining the gym membership unless you’re happy with unhelpful staff.

The food wasn't as nice, they gave me the wrong sauce, and the veggie burger was overcooked. Way too overpriced considering its status on Trust Pilot.

This is a pleasant hotel with pool, sauna, Starbucks and pub style restaurant. Pool has nice warm water. We got a room in quiet zone upper deck. The room was a bit small without a couch but still good value. Staff are very pleasant. We arrived on the cold day and portable heater was not working. They replaced it immediately. We also got early check in at 1 pm without paying additional. Breakfast is the same everyday with eggs, baked beans, sausages and bacon. At least it was warm breakfast. Location is also convenient with big car parking. 5 minutes drive to city centre or supermarkets. 15 minutes drive to Europa boulevard, M&S, IKEA etc. We will stay there again in our next visit.

The rooms were generally nice but there was black mould in the bathroom that should have been fixed a long time before me reporting it.

Very loud at night. You need to bring ear protection to bed to sleep, loud music till 1 am

Absolutely fantastic service: Liz is the most friendly, helpful and kind person. My son has a nut allergy and gets upset and embarrassed when we have to ask what cakes etc have nuts in. Liz went out of her way to take time to chat to my son about her personal experience with food allergies and really made a difference to him. All the staff are lovely and friendly, it’s always clean, Tables are cleared and cleaned quickly and my kids and I love going in for a treat after swimming

Amazing experience. The team are the kindest star bucks staff I have ever seen. They are so helpful and really make you feel welcome. Charlie the manager is fantastic! Thank you to you all. Best iced latte I have had in a while. Definitely will be returning :)

Recently stayed here as a last minute booking, I have to say we were very impressed. The hotel was in a great location with lots of amenities near by and a restaurant and Starbucks situated within the hotel. They had lots of little extras such as water and freebies in the lobby. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back.

Couldn't get any sleep due to loud music that went on for hours was told by reception nothing thy can do have to wate till party finishes was not told about a party when booked room ask for refund so could go somewhere else to sleep told thy don't do refund by rude unhelpful staff also was charged £19 for 2 drinks in bar and bar staff was rude and unhelpful stayed in lots of village hotels never experienced this before want be going back to this one again if u want to sleep I would avoid this one

Good gym and swimming pool facilities.

Unfortunately, my room smelt of what can only be described as blocked drain. And the AC wasn't up to the job and the room was tired and a bit shoddy. However, staff were fantastic and although couldn't move me in to another room - they really were wonderful to deal with.

Lovely experience, the staff provided an excellent service, very respectful, friendly, and worked hard to cater to every customer. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the town for a short stay. Thank you for a great experience.

Our 1st experience on a business trip here staying at the village And the receptionist Courtney couldn’t of been more helpful, As a corporate representative for a company that is so dependant on customer service, she stood out to our CEO and they commented how lovely she was & much she was clearly dedicated to her role. L Our service centre is based in Warrington and we will be recommending this hotel to our BDM’s. We will be back 😊

Very dirty, nasty hotel! Nothing is cleaned maid comes in pulls duvet up & changes towel end of story! I wish I knew before I had people on different days meeting me there, I would have RAN! NOTHING is every really cleaned have termites & moths flying around, window shade full of dead bugs, floors never fully cleaned, bath is never really cleaned, slim on hoses, drain is full of hair (NOT MINE) sink drain on back of sink was gross. AC filter filled with dust/dirt not allowing me to load my photos will try to load them again after ~ FYI the BAR is nasty as well.. black window screen shows all the squashed dead bugs, had avi of dust dirt floating in room but won't upload, 1st photo is all the termites on window shade, then slim on the hose in shower & on fixture in tube, hole in carpet, termite in room

A great hotel with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It has a family friendly pool and some great selections of food available.

A hotel built for relaxation. When we walked in, a warm welcome was given by reception, who were very willing to answer questions. Our room was a nice size with a nice firm bed and good thick bed linen. The bathroom was also a nice size with a bath and shower. Unfortunately, the reason for 4 stars is lack of shelf space (actually 0 shelfs for clothing) with small hanging space, which we coped with for 2 nights. Also, an issue with the air-conditioning was that it would only supply cold air and not hot, which was promptly resolved with a floor heater. It would be good to add a safe for piece of mind. The gym and swimming pool are both bigger than normal for a hotel, and the pool is heated to a nice temperature. There are lockers that require a padlock that the gym reception can provide if you do not pack one. Interior is nicely decorated with a calming atmosphere and quirky features, making a change to the usual sterile hotel furniture. The bar is fantastic in how it has been designed with many big screens for major events. We only had breakfast which here which has plenty of choice and the quality of food used is better than many other hotels. There is plenty of parking but chargeable unless you arrive after 5pm on Friday and leave before 3pm on Sunday. We are planning to possibly visit the area again and will not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed in a spacious club room and dined in the hotel. Decor is a bit dark for my taste but I had a lovely comfortable stay

Instead of worrying about writing silly notes on the bags, try making a decent drink. Two frappucinos that taste of nothing and other reviews complaining of the same. I will be seeking a full refund.

I have stayed here a couple of times and usually have a good stay. Great facilities on site, the gym and leisure facilities are good and the rooms are nice. They could do with a bit of renovating in the bathrooms as there were a few rotten panels in the bathroom last time but otherwise they are clean and have goo ld facilities.

Overall average quality. Rooms could be better if cleaned properly.

I was very impressed by the attention and service given, especially by Liz and Charlie. I asked a few questions regarding the hotel and surrounds and nothing was too much hassle for them to answer.

Perfect little spot for a quick coffee and a tasty treat. I often pop in for a quick catch up over coffee with my friend….Charlie and team are always friendly, welcoming and lovely. I especially have to mention Lizzy … always ready to greet you with a smile and great advice as to which beverage to try … even though sometimes I just have a traditional cuppa ! Keep up the good work … perfect spot to take time out on a busy day xx

Amazing customer service, she helped me choose my first ever starbucks as I didn't know what I wanted helped explain everything and was so nice and chatty. Truly one amazing lady and will definitely be coming again even if it is just for this lovely lady to serve me again what a credit she is a true star

I’ve visited twice a week since last Sept at lunchtime as I work locally Charlie is my regular server - remembers my name and my order and has some of the best customer service skills I’ve seen in a long time We watched him today and he has fabulous reactions with all customers - he’s a credit to the Starbucks name

Lovely gentlemen serving on the counter. He was so accommodating and polite to everyone he served. He recommended another drink as the one I wanted was no longer in the menu. It was a very good substitute.

Located just inside the front door on the right. Usual coffee, tea, waters, juices and pastries for "Grab and Go".

Love calling in here for my pre work out double espresso. After workout if time allows we call back in for a coffee and a chat. The girls are great, always polite and smiling. Coffee is good.

This one looks like a franchise so not quite the same as a normal one. Service ok but tables cluttered and the oven wasn’t working so they had to go to the hotels kitchen to warm the bacon butty up

The last few times I've been the selection of sandwiches has been poor, the toaster hasn't been working and they haven't had the correct cups for my order. It's conveniently placed, but that's about all I can say.

It’s not really a Starbucks. It’s inside The Village Hotel and nobody seems interested in providing anything resembling the usual Starbucks experience. Pretty miserable to be honest. Painfully slow service and poor product knowledge. Very expensive even for Starbucks.

We called in for a drink after having a spa day at the Village, it was lovely and clean , friendly chatty staff and fast service.

Went for a coffee with 5 work colleagues after work one evening. When we asked what time they closed we were told 7pm and not a minute later...how true this was!! At about 6.45 our mugs were swiped away from us (some people still had coffee in their cups) so it was clear they wear gearing up for closing. We had all stood up and had put our coats on when a female member of Staff barked "Can you all get out as I need to mop the floor). I understand that they were keen to clear up and close but it was clear we were about to leave as we had our coats on and bags in our hands. Just ruins the moment and will stick to Costa in Stockton Heath. At least the service comes with a smile.

Always - Female staff unfriendly, Cafe dirty, No newspapers Sold out of fruit toast at 8:15 am, basic requirement, serving breakfast Don't deserve business It's like they're doing you a favour, serving you Shame, unemployed would love their job Please employ staff that want to be there

Great little Starbucks with nice team to look after you. You're better getting breakfast here rather than the hotel if staying over.

Ordered my food for takeout; cheese and mushroom croissant with double espresso for breakfast and the firecracker roast chicken with giant cous cous, bulgogi sauce, red pepper, mange tout & chargrilled chillies for lunch with s&v kettle crisps and a green innocent super smoothie, service was prompt and the food was delicious- will return here.

What is there to say about Starbucks. It's coffee. The fact that it was in the hotel was very welcomed...
