I had booked a table for me and my partner and a Saturday. Once we arrived at 6.30pm we stood waiting to be seated, no one came to seat us. We caught the attention of one of the female members of staff and asked if we were in the right place to be seated and she said to continue to wait so we did. Still waiting after watching her say nothing to no one about us standing here waiting. So we asked a male member of staff to get a similar response... Ie nothing. It wasn't until what we can only imagine a local spoke to a member of staff and things began to move along and we were seated. This I feel took afted 10 minutes of us just standing around before we got seated and this was only due to the local gentleman as our attempts were well ignored. Drinks at the pub are over priced but you kind of expect this but I wouldn't be going for a few beers as it was like £12 somthing for two and that's the cheapest beer. Then dinner, partner had fish and chips, which she enjoyed. I had a burger which was okay but small, and the chips were served in a small metal pot and when I tipped them on to my plate it wasn't even filling half my small rectangle plate. I look over at my partners fish and chips to see a mound of chips filling her large round plate?? I'm sat thinking are meals cost the same but I'm left what looks like a kids portion. I left her hungry they need to look at the portion sizes, as something as simple as more chips and not these silly little pots of chips for some meals. Fish chips still isn't worth what your paying but compared to my burger and chips was better value... I was so disappointed. Place looks lovely, most of the staff are useless expect for two out of I think 5 on the night. I would go somewhere else to drink and certainly to eat.

Really lovely local pub with such warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staffs were very friendly and nice. The fish and chips were decent and the seafood pie was delicious. Guinness and beer were all great. This is a dog friendly pub and surely got the dog approval with their water bowl, blanket and special treat! Would definitely go back again!

I will say that the food we did have was excellent

Superb public house being currently decorated for Christmas. Friendly staff. Had a massive fish and chips (with a nice chutney on the side) and good pints. I enjoyed the room, with comfortable couches + armchairs. The beer garden seems amazing too but it was dark and freezing cold that night. Very quiet and relaxing, probably because it was on a Tuesday night

Outdoor Ping pong tables and gaming tables (bring dice!). Really fun for kids. The food is top notch, large portions and delicious. This is beyond pub-grub. There is a kids menu too, but the Mac n cheese was not good - and the Cumberland sausage may be a bit too herby for kids. Stick with fish n chips or burger. Delicious gravy, proper mash. Excellent service and staff attitude, very friendly. Nice beers, with good selection of bottled ciders too. Absolutely a 5* and will return again. Free car parking available, around 12 spaces so can get full quick! Beautiful traditional pub building and decor.

We used to like this pub because of the atmosphere and the beer garden. We hadn't been here for quite a long time because the last time we booked a table over the phone, it wasn’t reserved (Hi, Karl 👋). Today, we came to enjoy the beer garden since the weather was wonderful, but we waited 35 minutes for our chips. We asked three different staff members about it, and each said, "We'll check on it for you." In the end, the reason for the delay was that "another customer took your chips" (with table service, oh yes), and that staff member quickly walked away to avoid further questions. Very disappointed. We probably won’t be coming back anytime soon.

The Duke of Kent pub offers a unique atmosphere, predominantly populated by an older crowd enjoying their midday drinks. Ordering at the bar, however, was less than pleasant due to the rather moody demeanor of the staff member who took our order. Once seated, we found ourselves in a section with cinema-style seats, which unfortunately were not functional. The food itself was just okay, nothing particularly outstanding but adequate. Overall, while the ambiance has its charm for those looking for a relaxed, mature setting, the service and seating left something to be desired.

The atmosphere inside the store has been beautifully renovated while retaining the old atmosphere, and there are about 3 rooms where you can hold small parties. The garden has a large number of seats and can get quite crowded on sunny days, so reservations are recommended. The Sunday roast is delicious, but if you go a little late, it may sell out, so I recommend making a reservation. The food outside is delicious, so you can use it for things other than roasting. Alcohol is a little more expensive than Fuller's outside, but there is a wide variety. It's next to a large park, so it's very quiet and perfect for relaxing on a Sunday afternoon.

Wedding reception at The Duke of Kent pub in Ealing. Nestled in the heart of Ealing, The Duke of Kent pub offers a warm embrace for any occasion, including weddings. As a London-based documentary wedding photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing moments of joy at this delightful venue. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by the inviting charm of the pub and its incredibly friendly staff. Their relaxed demeanor immediately puts you at ease, setting the perfect tone for a celebration. One of the highlights of this venue is its versatility. Not only does it serve up delicious food that tantalizes the taste buds, but it also offers the option to rent out a private room for special occasions like weddings. The room exudes a homely ambiance, with bright decor that adds to the celebratory atmosphere. During my time there, I couldn't help but notice the festive touch that the fairy lights sprinkled throughout the space brought. It felt like a perpetual Christmas celebration, radiating warmth and happiness.

I really feel like I was ripped off with the £17.50 burger. The Patti was nothing special, overcooked and not particularly large considering the cost. The garnish was minimal, just a bit of tomato and lettice in the bap, and a smallish portion of chips. No salad, even when I asked to pay extra, they had run out. I paid several quid extra for some oversalted kale. Hugely disappointing and won't be eating here again.

The food is average at best. My steak was tough, tasteless and lukewarm . My guests fared no better. Service was slow and very amateurish. My biggest grumble is that the wooden table was sticky and needed a deep clean. Tap water was served in an old wine bottle and this too was sticky. If these customer-facing objects were not clean, I dread to think what the kitchen was like. Fullers, spend some money and sort it out or close it down. Your choice.

The worst Sunday roast of our entire life. At the tune of £24! Dry, tough, cheap, overcooked, sliced beef. And supremely undercooked cheap chicken. Supposedly roasted, it was merely boiled (not even fully boiled) and slimey. So disgusting to even see this undercooked chicken. Shuddering at remembering it. The kids had burger, to the tune of nearly £10. No juice included. A tough, tasteless, cheap burger, with not even a brioche bun, but a bap! They did not eat it either...a waste on all counts. And the staff? Just no. So unfriendly and short in tone. Save yourself your hard earned money, and go for a starter at best and only drinks. As the pub is very appealing in decor, drinks are always a good choice.

Not only the best Wetherspoon's but one of the best pubs in West London. It's a 'spoons' but not your regular type - only the pricing gives it away. The quality and selection of ale plus amazing service makes this a phenomenal pub. Frequent guest ales include Oakham Citra, Thornbridge Jaipur and Theakston Old Peculier (as well as the Spoons ever-present Greene King IPA and Doom Bar). Usually nine cask ales on tap. Friendly and efficient service from Ciara, Ewelina, Josh, Lyndella, Shannon, Tom, Thea, Vanessa, Ale and team - thanks for making it so great! EDIT: Plum Porter, Jaipur and Pride are now regular ales here as of Dec 2024.

Not a great experience! Unfortunately my 83 year old mum's special Christmas lunch was rather spoilt by being put on a draughty table on the edge of the restaurant because we had brought a small toy poodle with us, even though the restaurant area remained almost empty during the whole time we were there. - 2.30pm to 4pm. I had previously been to the restaurant with the same dog and sat on a banquette table with a view of the kitchen! Unfortunately, this Sunday when we arrived we were seated on a table near the exit. I asked if we could sit on the banquette tables (all empty except one) and was told by the rather frosty receptionist that because we had a small dog and had not 'said when booking' we had to sit on this very cold and uncomfortable table as it was 'the furthest from the kitchen'. The corner banquette table is actually further away and I explained that I had sat quite close to the kitchen before with the same dog. I booked online where it clearly says 'dog friendly' and was not asked if we were bringing a dog. My mum had come from North Herefordshire for a Christmas weekend and ended up with a view of the pub exit (the door was open so she had to wear her coat during our meal). I had a view of the gents toilet - see photo. Our meal was ok, the starters were nice. Mum's beef was rather tough so we brought it home in a doggy bag! Just to say, that during the time we were were there, a large, white German Shepherd actually came into the restaurant with its owner and disappeared into the kitchen for several minutes before coming out and returning to the pub! I did ask the staff if we could move several times but was told that it was 'the law' that we had to sit where we were and that 'if a government inspector' came in we would be 'breaking the law' if we were sitting at a different table! We spent £128 including the £14 plus tip but won't be doing this again. Very disappointing and a bit upsetting as it was meant to be a treat. I think the 'dog friendly' statement on the website is very misleading!!

...but for the prices you'd think it was. Overpriced food, substandard service, questionable drinks choices. And don't even get me started on the staff. You'd be better off anywhere else in Acton. Except for the Belvedere. That's definitely worse so if it comes down to the two of them, then go to Aeronaut. However Wetherspoons across the road is a much better choice. I mean even the Aeronaut staff go there for drinks 🤣🤣 which says a lot about what they think about their own establishment.
