Great friendly place....food and drinks affordable even now

A decent enough Wetherspoons with local history of Ealing Films. Not as cosy as it's previous incarnations. Can get incredibly noisy. Like many a Wetherspoons of late, desperately lacking sofas & large tables. A nice front garden with glazed roof unfortunately now largely taken over by the smoking crowd.

i loved it. pints are super cheap and the food lives up to my expectations. very filling for me and good vibes as well!

This place is the heart beat of Ealing and it needs never to close. You always know what to expect and the process obviously are brilliant. Unsure what the students would do with themselves if this place didn’t exist. Because let’s face it the strip next to their university has venues closing down as they’re too selfish to cater for students right on their door step which is what this fantastic pub does. Always have a friendly and familiar face behind the bar to greet you and locals you can inebriated in peace with. Love it !

Cheap, cheerful, good drinks selection at bargain prices, decent food choices. Good place to meet up with a group of mates.

Busy,noisy, mixed crowd, many younger people. I was well served by a young barman. Very nice pint from Rutland's Grainstore Brewery. Must go back.

Awful place, the food’s quality was zero ,very sticky table ,full of random alcoholic people ,not a good place for night out with your family 😖

Just off Ealing Broadway High Street. Standard wetherspoon offering usual fare and cider at £1.99 a pint. You can't get better than that anywhere. There's pavement facing outdoor seating also for when the weather improves.

Naturalmente, tuve que intentarlo, ¡y me alegro de haberlo hecho! El filete ribeye se cocinó hasta un perfecto punto raro, algo que normalmente nunca esperaría en Wetherspoons, así que esto fue un verdadero punto culminante para mí. La torte de chocolate era rica e indulgente, la manera perfecta de terminar la comida. Fue una linda sorpresa ver el bistec ribeye ofrecido en este pub en particular, y en general, el resto de la comida era muy buena también, lo que hace que una experiencia completamente agradable ".

The manager saw they still a beer from me and didn't care I told him may times but he tell me I'm the wrong person, I hope the will investigate but this place on that way to still one beer for nothing is not right is a shame and more the police that I will have a complaint too no questions for nothing that means that is corrupt this place I sent this to the news

A very small Wetherspoons and feels cramped inside. I would rather pay a bit more for my drinks than sit in there, they need to open up bigger premises in Ealing. The food at all 'Spoons pubs has gone downhill in the past couple of years, no different here but that's out of their hands.

A solid spoons, somewhat lacking in flavour, but a wonderful space that exceeds th usual expectations. Brilliant staff, however the cleanliness is lacking, especially in the bathrooms. You can't fault a space for it's clientele but extremely dirty bathrooms may signify a lack of overall cleanliness.

Very lovely pub .the service was brilliant. It's always a pleasure to visit .

Extremely busy when we arrived last Saturday at approximately 3pm. Managed to get a seat, but table piled high up with empty plates & glasses. Highlighted this at the bar & manager came out & cleaned it up straight away.

A lovely Spoons. Didn't know it was here. West London needs more of them. One in Notting Hill/Ladbroke Grove would be top drawer. Why not? Portobello Rd has a Poundland.

Decent spoons still doing food by half 10 on a Saturday when we rocked up 👌👍 Pictured Ramen Bowl with Chicken, and Steak one of the few spoons still serving steak. Update: New fiesta breakfast with an extra egg and slice of black pudding. Very nice.

Walked in 10.50m Sunday. Ordered vegan breakfast at 11.01. The place was getting busy. Waited. Waited. 11.45 I speak to the manager, can you check? I am told it's coming now. No it's not. Lie. 10 mins later he approaches my table, and says I will get my food and offers me a refund. Lie number two. As someone who works in catering, I can be patient. By TWELVE THIRTY I RAN OUT OF PATIENCE. Ninety minutes to produce no food, instead I was lied to and not served. Left a note with junior bar staff asking for an explanation. None forthcoming. This in Natsos now no cheese and few pieces for nearly 7 pounds, when you speak to staff they are angert at you

Cheap and cheerful. Happened to be there for Thursday curry night. Roasted cauliflower curry + rice (incl naan and 2x poppadoms) with a pint for around £10. Reminded me of supermarket microwave meal. No complaints.

Standard Wetherspoons. Half the price of the surrounding pubs and bars, but it definitely lacked any personality or friendliness you would get from the other bars, so draw your own conclusions.

Not a great place. For a spoons its right down there in the old style spoons, smells of damp and filthy toilets

Some staff act like soldiers door staff are very rude at the end of the e e ing typical wetherspoons take your money but couldnt give a hot at end of the evening or if u have an issue with the food or drink whennu complain Older lady member of staff deserves a promotion atleast she knows how to treat and respect the customer

Had a nice time at this pub. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Drinks were cheap so had a good evening here

Desde entonces siempre me había mantenido alejado de esa cadena, hace dos años cuando un amigo me invitó a Sir Michael Balcón y me impresionó. Disfrute de ir a Sir Michael Balcony en Ealing. Personal amable y servicio rápido. El pescado con patatas fritas es mi favorito, normalmente no soy un comedor de pescado, sin embargo, visito este pub regularmente para este plato. Haber probado otros en el menú y encontrarlos satisfactorios. Sin duda recomendaría Sir Michael Balcón.

The food is exactly worthy for the price you pay. But you should really try the chicken wings. The tables are always dirty unfortunately

Was my first time in spoons in Ealing and it will be my last. Worst out of all the Spoons in north west London 🤮 . Spent £35 on a family of four for breakfast. The food took longer ⏰ than expected especially as it's not cooked fresh. Everyone's order was wrong even the extra I paid for and the state of the food when it came out, 🤯 burnt, and just slapped on plates. The children were so hungry they ate what was eatable. I sent back my plate and didn't even get a refund 💰

New Korean Chicken Strip Burger is below the usual standards of Weatherspon chain. Other than that is was as always.

Always busy, service is great , very prompt and the atmosphere is buzzing. Food is good too.

❗❗Essential read before you come.❗❗ Food standards have certainly slipped in the last 3 years, smaller portions and over 50% increase in costs. Had steak and kidney pie, chips and peas. Chips looked and tasted like they had been reheated a number of times, dry crispy worthy of the compost heap. The pie was small with doughy crust..Don't order the grilled half chicken... It's terrible and dry. Stick with breakfast, grills, steaks and curries. Desserts in here I have to say are always decent. The drinks as always are good value and can't be beaten. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Generally a decent place to catch up with friends and grab a cheap pint. Free coffee/tea refills so can't go wrong.

Atmosphere enhanced by all the Ealing studios photos on the walls. You can always rely on a Wetherspoons breakfast!

Just called for breakfast and no complaints it was good.

Very nice pub in Ealing, it was steak night so had the gourmet 10o/z rib eye steak with chips, mushroom,tomato,3 onion rings and very tasty it was.washed it down with a good pint of Guinness. The pub is very spacious and it has a big mix of people..very nice experience, well done wetherspoon.

Left my phone in the bathroom as the pub was closing - the woman immediately sent me out and told me the pub was closed so i couldn’t retrieve my phone but would have to do so in the morning. Server had blonde bunches and ironically was closing the pub 2 minutes early. Very rude woman wouldn’t recommend.

Went with my granddaughter aged 8. Asked for second plate when ordering but steak arrived without plate and cutlery. Staff member apologised but 5 minute wait annoying. My granddaughter and l thought steak was excellent but fries very small portion. I'm elderly so only eat small portions but to be fair value is excellent

Our first visit, we were immediately welcomed by a friendly assistant. Pub was clean tidy and tables all clear. There was quite a crowd of young people having breakfast, either waiting or having received their A level results. I would recommend the pub if in the area.

Worst experience with spoons ever i had to wait for my food more than half a our and when I asked someone why it takes so long he told me "it's really busy you need to wait" great but I've seen way more busier spoons and even there I had to wait just 10min

Racist and Abelist manager Sylvester. My friends and I go to the ealing Wetherspoons quite often and have never had a bad interaction, however last night we had our first encounter with the manager of this chain. My friend (South African Woman ) ordered her drink and then got asked to show ID, she proceeded to show her valid Citizenship card which proved her age (18, 19 this December) and they did not approve it. She then explained how she has a chronic illness and cannot apply for drivers license since her CFS prevents her from applying for a provisional. The employee explained how they do not accept this as it is identical to a “university student card” which is not a valid form of ID ( despite a legal requirement of going to university is being 18.) After snatching her drink away and not listening to my friend explaining how she is disabled the manager then got involved. This is where the racism and ableism began, Sylvester then proceeded to point to my friends curly hair and whisper so the body cam would not pick up “ people like you shouldn’t be here.” Our friend came back to the table in shock, couldn’t belive the thing she just got told. Our waitress came over with the manager, she was a young woman with mouse brown hair and she was one of the only workers that showed us any sympathy or remorse, it was evident that the manager takes his anger out on the other employees probably on minimum wage trying to make ends meet because she was very distressed and uncomfortable around him. He then came over to us and I tried to explain to him the severity of this situation, explaining how our friend is disabled and physically cannot have another ID, he could see her crutches and still was so agressive and verbally abusive. He said to our friend “ if you’re disabled you shouldn’t be in places like this” she then broke down in tears and he did not care, then asked ONLY her to leave dispite knowing that 2 of us were under 18 ( as it was only 6pm and we were still welcome, but had to leave at 9) The police was threatened to be called on us. I have never been more disgusted by anyone, upon further research this is not the only time Sylvester has been complained for ableism and racism. One report that an Asian man was denied a glass of orange juice because he did not have ID. I found this experience so disgusting and my friend is so hurt by this discrimination from Ealing Wetherspoons, going against the Equality Act 2010. This treatment is very ironic since the sign on the door explains how “ not every disability is visible “ yet to discriminate our friend. Disgusting

I had the most shocking experience in this bar that I have ever had. I went there with my friends and one of my friends was racially discriminated against by the manager Sylvester and he was being extremely ableist, it was ironic that on the door it had a sign that not all disabilities are visible yet when my friend showed her her ID the only one she could legally have she was turned away and told us to leave or he would call the police. Absolutely shocking! We will not be returning!

Good pub food. Big menu. Decent prices. Staff very helpful. Free Refill coffee cup. Inside is arty and comfortable. Outside nice but near to the busy road.

I really like this pub chain. I had a traditional English breakfast with a pint of beer, the whole thing cost me 11.74 Everything was very tasty. Outside, the wonderful terrace is divided into two zones for smokers and non-smokers, respectively. I recommend coming on weekends in the morning, you can feel the special atmosphere

Not the best experience last night , have been many times and last night was far from welcoming. Sadly a lovely venue just rude team members, below par food and service is disappointing.

Hello. I was disappointed by the employee's rude and racist behaviour towards me and my friends during our visit 9.30pm on 13th May.Even after politely requesting our drinks, the employee was disrespectful and began lecturing us on how to speak. It is not the customer's responsibility to deal with an employee's bad mood or personal issues. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures better customer service in the future. Thank you.

Today is 12/05/2024 It's a great pub, love the place... but the (no smoking area) within the outside chairs area needs to be enforced as it's clearly not. I've sat in the left side for the no smoking area and there's literally three tables of people smoking and because they're close together (the tables) smoke is constantly blowing into my face, over my food and drink. Funnily enough, not one person on the smoking side is... smoking. Come on, guys and girls... start enforcing it, especially now that it's coming up to summer. Kindly ask them to get up and smoke on the pavement... 4 steps away.

Reasonable Wetherspoons pub. Good selection of beers. A bit untidy, glasses piling up. Staff doing their best to keep on top of it.

I had a scraping of Avocado on a stone cold muffin with salad bits on top, served on a cold plate. My friend had small breakfast served cold and on a cold plate (he is now spending the rest of the day on the toilet) My other friend had Bacon, egg, beans and hash brown served on a muffin... again served on a cold plate. We wanted a latte but no milk in the machine so had to have regular coffee and had a ask for milk which eventually came. The staff were unfriendly. I have been to Weatherspoons before and the overall experience was great. Will not be returning to the Ealing branch again. Very disappointed customer 👎

Disappointing. Think there aren’t enough staff to cope as it wasn’t busy but the food came out cold and whilst the lady serving was pleasant and helpful I didn’t enjoy my breakfast at all and left without finishing my drink

A great mix of seasoned drinkers and happy eaters. Staff, excellent.

Good value for money. Excellent customer service. Decent food. Does not feel like a regular JDW pub at all. Open minded and stimulating. Youth from the local uni makes all the difference. Busy at times but you can pick some quieter slots if you do not like Friday and Saturday nights. Overall recommended. Early morning breakfast with Guinness or a late evening meal with a pint of Abbotts? Your choice. They have it. Great pub. Have been going there since 2010. 15 years of loyalty. Same management, too. Great people.

Nice pub with a very nice, calm atmosphere and, as always with a 'Spoons' pub, great value. It's not local to where I live but I always return if in the area. Busy but you can usually find a seat. All that and very nice helpful and friendly staff.

Be careful when ordering a pint as sometimes they do like to put a big head on it. This way when the beer settles it turns out it's less than a pint. However All in all most staff and the atmosphere is quite enjoyable.

Nice pub with the well-known system ordering via app. The staff were quick and friendly and everything seemed very tidy and clean. Unfortunately it was all very loud and the toilets were not in a very good condition. Definitely recommend this restaurant chain!

It belongs to a franchise. The atmosphere is very pleasant and it has a magnificent terrace. Affordable prices especially compared to central London. IPA beer £4.4. Clean and well-kept services.

Very fatty bacon and cold toast. Easily the worst of the 6 Wetherspoons branches I have been to!

Nice street view with fair number of seats outside. Good service and quite busy place, we were there on Saturday during lunch time.
