We had a pleasant afternoon lunch. Food was good and portions generous. Great selection of drinks and all the other facilities were excellent. Recommended!

We visited the pub for the first time on a Sunday and really enjoyed the beef roast we ordered. The food was delicious and one of the best roast we have had in quite a while. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.Staff were also really friendly and very helpful.The photo does not do the food justice 😁

I came for food and drinks a few days ago, and thought it a lovely experience! The food was delicious, especially the double cheeseburger. Food came out quickly, along with the drinks. The staff were fabulous and very attentive, with Kienan standing out above the already great service! He was very helpful and just elevated our experience. I would most certainly dine here again!

We had a family get together for breakfast over Christmas. The team were very friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. We all enjoyed our breakfasts and the kids were very pleased with the colouring sets provided.

The food quality at this pub has noticeably declined over time. While the atmosphere and service remain decent, the dishes lack the freshness and flavor they once had. Disappointing compared to previous visits, and not worth the price anymore.

We were booked into the alpine section that the pub had added on for Christmas. This section lacked atmosphere. We were expecting it to have a warm, cosy feel, but it missed the mark. It was quite chilly and brightly lit. We moved tables as the wind was blowing through the marquee. We ate with our jackets on. Not the experience we were expecting.

Really lovely family meal on Christmas Eve. It’s very spacious and all staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Vicky was fantastic. Would definitely return.

The service was pleasant, but it took 3 hours to have a meal due to how busy they were and this was a meal started at 5pm. Worth it if they are not busy.

During my recent visit to the holly blue I approached the bar and was ignored only to have someone who arrived after me served. I don’t normally get annoyed about this however this happened three times within the hour or so that I was there. On the third time of this happening Louise, a member from the restaurant team acknowledged my frustration at the bar and served me promptly, she obviously has an eye for reading the order of the bar properly unlike the other two staff that were serving. Louise is a quality member of the team and I think that should be recognised.

We were waiting for over 5 minutes at the bar when we arrived without any acknowledgment from staff. 2 staff members looked at us and then just walked on by. Considering we were visiting as part of our family pre-christmas break, it was really disappointing 😞 We had no check back from staff to see if everything was okay following our food arriving. A lot of money for a less than enjoyable evening.

AVOID this place!!! Absolutely awful from the moment we walked in. Mums birthday for 6 of us. Starters were kids size portions at London prices. Well over priced, frozen bog standard food, then waited 1 hour and half for mains after as long 3 member of staff to follow it up which all came at different times. Shocking quality food… Shocking non mannered staff… Should be shut down

Awesome visit to the Holly Blue, good food, service spot on and having the quiz just made it perfect! We went as a group of friends, the host Daren made us feel very welcome and he’s an awesome quiz master. I would recommend the quiz to all, it’s just for fun and all felt welcome. Topped off with a great atmosphere too. Can’t wait for the next quiz!

A chain pub offering a “local” pub atmosphere through friendly service and a nice setting overlooking parkland. Weekly quiz nite is great fun, as advertised “a quiz that won’t make your head hurt” very social and fun quizmaster ☺️ A variety of entertainment one day every other weekend keeps the venue interesting but not too in your face if a quieter evening after a meal is desired. The “Speed quiz” is a revelation on the 1st Monday of every month, local market weekends in the car park and family events. Very good selection of drinks - NOTE it is a cashless venue, card payment only.

This place was fantastic. Had a fantastic Christmas party. Giuseppe and Debbie were amazing. We were the last people on the party and they were lovely! Great pub, Adam & team are fantastic, wonderful atmosphere. Dog friendly. Food has been hit & miss in the past but recently has upped its game 👍 Fully recommend a visit.

Myself, my mum and my daughter attended the "breakfast with Santa" event on Saturday 14th December and we couldn't have been happier. A form was sent out prior which meant Santa knew my daughters hobbies etc so was able to talk to her about them, and the present was perfect for her. The staff were amazing, dressed up as elves, as well as there being an "elf hunt" and crafts table for the kids to do whilst waiting for breakfast/visit with santa. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

I was trying to enjoy a family dinner and they felt it was appropriate to have a dj blasting drum and bass music from a marquee outside. Completely disrespectful and ruined the ambience of what was once a lovely bustling pub.

Accidentally came a week early to a planned meet up with friends. Had a lovely meal whilst here and enjoyed the environment and food with my partner.

We went to The Holly Blue for the breakfast with Santa. The staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we entered. The experience with Santa was fantastic, with my daughter receiving a personalised gift. There was also a table set up for the children to do colouring/make a Christmas card/decoration. There was also an Elf hunt activity, so absolutely plenty for the children to do while waiting for their breakfast. The food was well presented and tasty- portion sizes were generous. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will be booking again next year.
