The Vine Inn in Hillingdon

The pub has been taken over in last 3 weeks regularly by people who care not for any other regular or customer, it seems the company or management are unwilling or incapable of stopping them Used to have a really good mixture of people here and a great local and people pub. 10 years a local myself. No longer can i support this behaviour with my custom. What a real shame

We went in for late lunch and drinks. The atmosphere is nice and a group of people also came in whilst we were there, voices carry. Food and drinks were as expected in pub at reasonable prices.

Went to watch football. Atmosphere was lively. Food was great. I had the fish and chips special. A bit pricey. As a non alcohol drinkers, having teas and coffees as an option is refreshing and very welcome. The pool table needs sorting and moving.

As a regular of this establishment for 20 odd years I am dismayed a manager can be allowed to run this place into the ground , it’s a common occurrence to run out of certain drinks or we can’t serve a lager as everyone is complaining about it , shutting the pub on a Friday at 1015 pm , trying to serve plastic cups as too lazy to wash up glasses , turning away customers as they want to close early , gents toilet a flooded health hazard and when it’s obvious a big match is being played hardly any staff , never seen the supposed manageress serve a drink but has no problem downing them , basically all the regulars are leaving due to the pathetic management . Surely you cannot make money running out of Guinness , cider and stella on Xmas eve and boasting they sold 10k , if only enough staff were employed and you had stock your company would have doubled that like they usually do , it’s always been the consensus the pub should be a goldmine if it had proper management , liking a drink and somewhere to rest your ahead aren’t the necessary qualifications . When will the vine ever employ a manager with the correct credentials , know-how and drive to enable this fantastic venue to reach its potential.

Although the food was good and the staff were excellent, there was no heating in the pub on what was possibly the coldest day of the year so far. There was no hot water to wash your hands and the dryer blew our cold air. We all sat with our coats on. Was told there was no Manager at the moment! They are going to lose a lot of business if the heating isn't sorted quickly. Shame because it's a nice venue.

Came with my wife for a few drinks and a bite. The manager was a friendly man, came over and chatted to us for a bit. Food was quite nice and came quickly. However, when I was in the toilet, I heard people doing drugs, I came out and it was the manager and a customer. Damped our experience somewhat. Not too sure if I’d eat here again after seeing that. Would recommend for a drink on a sunny day outside, otherwise myself and my wife will not be returning.

We stay local for business weekly and go to the vine a lot. We aren’t from around the area and they made us very welcome, to be the reason we visit a lot. Pizzas are great and quiz night on a Thursday is not to be missed, great laugh. It makes working away from home a lot easier knowing you’re welcomed into a great pub. Madri is always spot on too!

First time in here Disappointed no Peroni, no Mortti, settled for Stella Artois. Staff look very junior. Wonder if we will visit again ( though looks very impressive from the outside )

Very dissatisfied with the welcome. Bar staff looked miserable and could not be bothered to engage. It wasn’t that busy.

Really not impressed. Visited today, having eaten here years ago, and wish I hadn’t. Half the menu I was told they didn’t have, and what they did have had clearly been either kept hot for too long or microwaved to death. Substitutions were made to the advertised menu with no prior warning so customers with food allergies were put at risk.The food quality was poor and a peak lunchtime should not have so many things unavailable, I will not visit again.

Me and my husband came to this restaurant as we like to try out different foods in different places. The food was awful,the mashed potatoes was a big mistake. It felt like the chef had spat and played in our food. The smell was horrifying. We asked to see the manager, to our surprise, he was the most disrespectful, arrogant,unprofessional and stinking alcohol. How do hospitality institutions hire such people with zero to no experience at all. How did he even land this gig except if its their family restaurant. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT.

Met a friend in TheVine this evening 2/7/22 and ordered the primer beef burger & chips and my friend had the sothern fried chicken burger and chips. paid £15.80 for the pleasure, which it wasn't. The prime beef burger was like a budget range grissely burger and the chicken burger was the size of a chicken wing. One of the staff asked if the food was ok and we made her aware of the situation, she agreed the burgers where a bit stingy and said she would make the manager aware of our comments. Sadly the manager didn't even have the courtsey to come and talk to us. Really disappointing, would have been better off getting a budget McDonalds.

No Ice no roast dinners at least a 45 minute wait we left and went somewhere better to many noisy children running around, the floor was dirty slippery where food was

Came here with my fiance and some friends for a drink . Whilst there decided to have some food. We had a wood fired pizza which had been cooked in their oven. It was delicious. The manager was a really nice bloke. And we could see has a very good relationship with his locals . The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. The pub itself is lovely inside with a great atmosphere. We will be returning again for sure

Great pub, with a great atmosphere. Felt very safe with covid restrictions in place. The staff made sure everyone was sticking to the rules and wearing masks when away from their table. Using the app was very simple and fast, our drinks arrived at our table in a timely manner. We ordered pizza from the wood fired pizza oven, the pizza was freshly made on site and delicious. Great choice of drinks behind the bar including the cocktails at a great price. All the bar staff were very friendly. The manager made us feel very welcome. Had a great night and will be returning soon.

I came here with 3 of my friends as we wanted a girly night & we were not disappointed! We got pizza that was freshly prepared there & then with the pizza oven. COVID restrictions are put in place clearly. We used the app and had our drinks served to us in good time. Brilliant atmosphere. Definitely will be returning 😁

Been to every England game and been very safe and great atmosphere. The manager keeps it to covid restrictions and assures everyone Where's a mask when walking around. If anyone hasn't booked they refuse them entry to keep everyone safe. Great job guys.

Bought 5 take away Pizzas for a retirement do. Very fresh and delicious and really good value. A popular venue.

Pluses are that the bar staff are pleasant and helpful.. Indoors is spacious. The food was hot enough but a very standard unhealthy, calorific menu disguised with quirky names. I reckon the food is pre-packed, not created on the premises. In the Ladies toilet the...

We went for the Eat Out to Help Out, there was no need to book a table. Its a lovely and modern pub. The garlic pizza bread was big but everything was lovely and fresh and cooked in front of you by the bar. Lovely...

My family and I visited for lunch and had a lovely time. Alex tended to us throughout our whole stay and was amazingly helpful.

Fairly priced with lovely, friendly and efficient staff. The food is great, would recommend any of their pizzas. Nice to see rekorderlig strawberry and lime on draught which is a lovely pint to have in their beer garden on a hot day

Went to try the refurbed pub but was very disapointed with the food for me and my partner. Both meals seemed to be reheated as they were extremly dry, tasteless and bordering on unedible. On a good note the pub had a good atmosphere ,...

So i heard about the vines refurbishment, the place looks fantastic. I was served immediately and the staff made me feel very welcome. I ordered the falafel platter which came out very quickly. Its a tasty vegetarian snack option which I'd definitely order again. Can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu. I was served by Lisa who was great

Went to this pub for a quick drink prior to having a meal at a nearby restaurant to find that it has had a total transformation from what was previously a dark basic drinking establishment offering a bland pizza menu, not sure whether it is under new management or not, what we stepped into was a bright, spacious, friendly and busy restaurant/pub, newly refurbished and well staffed, we decided to take advantage of a Tuesday 2 4 1 twelve inch pizza offer. I had the meat feast and my wife chose the new Yorker and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals, have already recommended this place to friends and it's certainly the best value for money in the Immediate vicinity will definitely be returning.

Best place for pizzas, great atmosphere with good attentive staff. We come here quite regularly and love the way they have just refurbished the place. All in all it’s always a very pleasurable experience. Thanks

Friendly local pub with a great pizza oven, they offer thin crispy pizzas which we prefer & their staff are always friendly & helpful. They have closed for refurbishment till mid July-I think, but we understand they are keeping their Pizza menus.

I have been an infrequent visitor to the Vine for more years than I care to admit and over that time it has had ups and downs. One refurbishment which saw the mens and womens toilets switched comes to mind – that wasn’t awkward….

We ate here on the 18th Jan as the restaurant in our hotel was fully booked.

Weekday afternoon late lunchtime, so very few other customers. However, friendly service, and food served promptly. We chose 2 small plates, but these were both plentiful and of good quality. Not gourmet dining of course, but we were very satisfied with our visit including excellent value for money.

I celebrated my 21st Birthday last night at The Vine Inn and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The food is amazing! Thank you to the Andy and the staff for a lovely evening!!

Very spacious pub lovely tables inside and outside. Helpful service at the bar and our meals didn’t take long and it was amazing fresh tasting food!

The 2 pizza that we ordered supposed to had extra of cheese and chilli, but they didn’t, and they had jalapeños witch supposed to not have at all. The burger is the small one that you can find in England , and the bread to soft to keep it in the hands , so .. conclusion, don’t go there , unless you don’t have another choice. Btw , I didn’t know that the spritz al aperol is made with soda and aperol in a normal glass for juice.

We booked a surprise for my mum's 70th yesterday! There were about 20 of us, and we were very well looked after, the staff were always accommodating our needs with our order. The pizza's were delicious, will definitely come again!

The barmaid there left customers waiting at the bar so she could look at her phone. Also didn't bother to offer me any tissues of cutlery when she brought me my food. Later she snatched money out of another customer's hand. Expect crappy service if you go here.

Drinks and food are well priced and staff were nice. It is a bit of a blokes sports pub but with that in mind it is perfectly fine.

Lively big pub in Hillingdon village. 427 and A10 stop outside from Uxbridge . Pizzas are fantastic as is most of the other foid. Always sport on tv and a pool table. Staff are excellent and a very good range of affordable wines and spirits. Lovely historic large pub. Real Ales not always on.

Popped in for a few beers with a few friends, friendly staff and a nice pint. Good amount of football screens which is always great

My mum booked a few tables for her birthday party last weekend. The food was simple but what we needed! It was on time, as we asked for and plentiful!

Went here to watch Football with brother and friends, the atmosphere was really good and had a lot of televisions to watch the game. Wasn't too expensive either. Pizza was really good and thin, I'd defiantly go back

The Vine Pub has changed hands - new management. I did ask the bar staff who owns it now.... he didn't know, ... so he doesn't know who he is working for? This was in it's self a little worrying.

We went to this pub for dinner and discovered it was mainly pizza and pasta. However we decided to sample the menu and ordered a pasta, a lasagne and a Caesar salad. After quite a long wait I went to enquire and found our dishes sitting on the side of the bar, where they had been languishing for some time. When I brought this to the attention of the only two harassed staff members they were very apologetic and gave the excuse that they were rushed off their feet and were trying to do so many jobs at once. They offered to reheat the meals, reheat a salad? I told them to forget it and just refund the cost. One staff member did not know how to do this because he was under instruction by the other female member. She was too busy making a pizza base for another order so we had to wait a while. She was dashing around the side of the bar carrying another meal when she tripped over a large cardboard box on the floor next to the bar and almost fell. We felt really sorry for them both, it is quite a big bar area and had a lot of customers all vying for their attention. I think that management really needs to look at their staffing rosters.

I have lived in the area for 68 years moved away 20 years ago I have just come back been to the Vine 3 times it's a local boozer always has been don't go there for Real Ale you have a Red Lion across the road which does a beautiful pint of Pride always has been but always expensive the other pub was the Prince of Wales called The Feathers which was one of my locals really nice landlord really nice pint of beer now gone. So for a nice pint you have the Angel and the hut.

Well, where to start. The pizza was under cooked. We ordered 3 meals for our party and the first came out 15 minutes before the other two! They were done before the other two got their meal.The "crispy duck" board was actually limp, slimey duck. Not in the least crispy. The caesars salad was missing the croutons (not exactly a lot of ingredients to remember in a caesars salad!)Plus we were overcharged!

Popped in for a afternoon in the sun.Pub was quiet but well staffed.Jon was very helpful and helped us with our selection of food.Bar service was quick and prices very reasonable.

We had a wonderful experience here. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the whole place is beautiful throughout. Definitely the best place in the area by far! We'll be back soon :-)

Large pub on the busy Uxbridge road/ Hillingdon Hill. ReL ales not always on and limited imagination in the choice. Brilliant pizzas and generally the rest of the menu is exceptional. Spirit prices very reasonable and a good range of quality wines. Staff are very pleasamt and chatty. Most sport on tv. Bank of tv's on one wall showing different sport which was a bit confusing.. Small outside drinking area. Not a lot of parking in the pub car park but on the 427/A10 bus route which is a good regular service. Overall a good pub

Popped in on recommendation of friends. Very friendly staff very helpful. Menu of burgers, pastas pizzas and breads all at reasonable prices . We all cleared our plates and more than happy. Excellent a Burgers with spicy wedges and salsa. Lovely flatbread with chilli ..offered 20 percent off our next visit so will be going back soon.

Came here to meet up with old work colleagues. The atmosphere was chilled out and relaxed. The staff was friendly and having a laugh with the customers. Andy the manager recommended a couple pizzas to us and they did not fail. Quality food and even though it is a busy friday night we did not have to wait ages for the food. Will definitely be back.

Visited this pub last Sunday with my wife. Don't usually use the vine as the service seems to get worse every time. But to be fair it's the only decent pub around that plays sport and allows for volume, Walked into the pub and it looked a mess. We went and sat down my wife went to the bar to order drinks but she felt intimidated as there was a loud group of guys at the bar which we then found out later was the manager. Bar staff were only interested in there drunk manager service was quite poor. We were going to order food but couldn't be bothered. Nicest thing about our visit was the lovely long haired boy who was in the kitchen.

Excellent service from Adele (nice nails btw pretty lady), and frankly, pizza and desserts to die for Igita (hope I spelled that correctly). A credit to the organisation Adele, and hopefully every other family, will have as much fun and filled tums as us. Outstanding. Have a look folks and you will not be let down. Truly one of a kind in the middle of many eateries.

It was friday lunchtime, what to do? Well across the road from the office is the Vine. Have obviously been there a few times, had a pint... sometimes they have my favourite pint London Pride... wish it was on tap more often. Also ordered a burger for my colleague, and a meaty flat bread with an odd name, as alway the food is quickly served, and very nice. They have a loyalty card scheme, which knocks a few quid off the bill, which is always nice.Overall would recommend having lunch here

When the Red Lion had no draught beer the Vine had Doom Bar on tap. They have a pizza menu and pleasant bar staff.

I had a baby shower here for my son and daughter in law. We were so happy with food and staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely revisit and hold a future event here.

Been away for a few months, decided to get together with some friend at our local last Friday, was very sad to find out the lovely chap with the blonde hair and lips tattoo had moved on... it was fairly busy when I walked in was served by the small laughy girl behind the bar, i was very disappointed with the ale selection as it was getting better.. you have 3 ale pumps yet we're lucky to have 1 choice. The atmosphere was off there was no candles lite and lights were very bright. There was also no soap in the gents toilets. It wouldn't hurt for someone to clean up the countless cigarette butts and rubbish outside as this really is a lovely pub. My friend then went to the bar and got served by the Scottish guy which I'm guessing is the manager, all I can say is he needs customer service training, his attitude was disgusting. I was sad to see Adele wasn't working he could learn something from her. I really hope that someone takes this on board as this pub has good food, sports and some lovely staff it just needs the correct management.

Team is great, good atmosphere, I recommend it warmly. If you look for a place to eat and drink in the area, you found just the right one!

Went here late with only twenty minutes before they stopped serving. There Was not one look or mannerism suggesting they couldn't be bothered the man with the kiss tatoo on his neck was lovely and welcoming the bartender who did our cocktails a shorter gentleman with dark hair was also lovely. As for the lady cooking our food and that served it to us she was great and the food was delicious hot and quick. Would definitely recommend great food great service just a genuinely impressive experience xx

i went here with a family group for a birthday celebration and we had a few drinks in the garden. When we arrived there were not enough seats for us all to sit together but a lovely couple on seeing us immediately offered to move to another table so we could all sit together. I want to thank that couple -it was a very kind gesture!

but don't bother complaining as the staff really couldn't give a hoot. We used to be regulars here but its an absolute joke now

This is the second time that we have used The Vine for a family party. Dean and his team were amazing in planning the event and executing a lovely evening. They decorated for us, provided a wide range of lovely food and overall were very helpful during the night. They made everything very easy for us. The pub itself is one of the best in Hillingdon and caters for all ages. It is clean and comfortable.We will be returning!

I have to agree that previously this Pub would have been a 3* however since the new Management takeover it is definitely a 5*! This used to be our local about 6 months ago but it lots it's atmosphere despite amazing staff ( Adele ) and so we decided to take a break. We got our Baby Baptised at St John's Church which is across the road, so I decided to call to enquire about functions out of convenience. 2 years ago we had ours son's Baptism do there and it wasn't very good at all... the food was very basic and not much of it for the price. I was apprehensive about booking it again but when I called I was told there was a new Manager and after just speaking to him on the phone I knew it would be nothing like the last time. So the function was yesterday and omg... it was even better than I could imagine. The attention to details was just fantastic and the food was good quality, there was a great selection and really enjoyed by all my guests. Although Pizzas are the main thing on the menu, my buffet selection also consisted of everything from cheese boards to nice cold meats, mozzerella and pesto salads with rustic breads and additional bits and bobs for the children... It was just so well thought out and classy. I cannot recommend this venue enough!Dean, the new Manager is amazing and his customer service is impeccable! The pub now has an atmosphere and the staff are amazing. I am very particular about everything and I do like to complain if necessary, but I just cannot fault anything from start to finish. My decorations were put up for me, the cakes were perfectly displayed and nothing seemed to much to ensure our time there was perfect. My Husband and I have already said this is going to become our local once again. Thank you again to Dean all the Staff at the Vine... These pictures do not even do it justice!

I go here a few times with my wife and kids, the food is great and so are the staff they do a great meal deal for the kids (2 courses and a drink for £4.50) we love the reggae reggae pizza! There's also a big focus on sports with 5 screens on one wall and my wife loves the cocktails too! It's so comfy we are there more than we should but we just can't stop......

This is my new favourite place, been living close by for years but popped in for a quick one and fell in love with the place, the new manager is really changing the place around and the food is fantastic.....It's got a lovely feel and go a few times a week with the children as they love the pizzas too....

Earlier this week we dropped in with some friends for lunch at this pub/pizza restaurant. This was the first time for us. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a good range of pizzas on offer. Some are unusual. I am not a real pizza lover but I really did enjoy my 'Smoky, Sloppy Joe' which was pulled beef chili topped with nachos, cheese, sour cream, chili salsa and guacamole. Prices and portions are appropriate. Most pizzas are around the £8-£9 level although some, such as the Margherita, can be had for about £6. Service was good. Bar prices were reasonable. Overall good value. Pity it is not in a central location but we will go back again when in the area.

This pub is pretty decent. Good location, not overly busy and pretty spacious. It serves lovely pizza and is reasonably priced. Across the road from the Red Lion, this pub is cheaper and has a pool table. It's worth a drink or two if in the area

visited this pub/restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, although the pub was busy, the doors were left wide open on a freezing cold day, which almost made it unbearable. The food was full of oil and cold, empty glasses and dirty plated piling up on tables as staff could not be bothered to clear

Dropped in for lunch and found a jazz combo entertaining the lunch crowd. Not too crowded. The pizza was superb. Only lack of time prevented us from returning. Only fault was the length of time it took for our food to arrive. After questioning we were told our pizza had been cremated and another one was on its way. Free drinks were offered to us. The wait was worth it.

i visited my sister who lives around the corner from the vine and i was pleasantly surprised, the staff were very friendly, the pizzas were great and very tasty my only wish was that i had one near me

Ok pub grub. Pub service! Do Not expect too much. Again for us? I doubt it? However, it's a welcoming place. If you are the sporty type?

Incredibly dull pub. Devoid of any redeeming features. Despite its promise of being a pizza pub, had no pizza. Management also deliberately try to con you out of money when charging, so beware if you've had a couple of drinks. A very depressing place to visit.

Having visited The Vine many times a few years back and having a great Sunday roast was a little disappointed to find it a pizza place. But The menu was good with a lot of various pizza. Pleasing on price too. Loved the pizza pillows for starter and main pizza was goodService was great. Staff are good and friendly.Will be my choice of pizza from now on :)

The vine is a good pub despite its taste in football teams! Now the food is pizza focused it has driven away a whole host of clientele... Don't get me wrong the pizza is lovely but their Sunday lunches and dining were something you would look forward too. Reasonable and good choice if wines

Normally go to the Red lion opposite for an occasional meal out but it was crowded so decided to try the Vine. Pizzas were excellent and waqs able to get a seat as the bar was not that busy. Will go again!

sadly this was taken over by new management and has gone downhill, not just the staff the service and food selection.Shame I used to recommend and enjoy eating here on many occasion in the past.

I've been to the Vine a few times as its near the office - it's recently changed hands and they've changed the menu drastically and are now offering a range of pizzas.We went to the Vine for a team lunch- so we'd pre-ordered earlier in the day. When we arrived it seemed that we had to re-arrange the restaurant to accommodate our party- despite them knowing how many were coming. The food didn't take long to come which was good however a couple of the pizzas were missing key toppings- when that was raised to the waiter he didn't seem impressed. He eventually came to the table and took the pizzas away (about 5 mins later so the guys had started eating) then a short time later the pizzas came back with the correct toppings- they'd literally added the toppings to the half eaten pizza not quite what you'd expect.That said I'd recommend the pizza strippers they were great- a suggestion to the vine would be to offer this for more combinations as it was a great way to sample some of the different taste combinations.Also its well priced we got a lunchtime meal deal which was great value for money with a main and a drink included.

Have been to The Vine many times before it changed to Pizza and Kitchen Bar. The menu is nothing like it use to be, not much choice. Ordered food with a lovely chap behind the bar that was polite and very helpful. Waited little while for the food. The lady that brought the food out could of done with cheering up or even a fake smile would of been nice. My girls had ordered chicken burger which they enjoyed. Not many chips and side salad was size of a two pound coin. But hey!! My beef burger was disgusting. As I cut it in to half it was full of oil. I tried to take some of oil off with a tissue, but it was full of oil. There was seven chips which were nice. Would never go back. Shame as me and my girls liked to eat there as it oly up the road 28/06/2014

We have lived in uxbridge for 3 years and class the Vine as our local. We always used to eat there when we first came here but things started to deteriorate both on the pub side (they never have what's meant to be on the pumps) and on the restaurant side small portions and never had the same thing twice. We hadn't been for about 4 months so decided to go for dinner, it looked like a new manager behind the bar and it was quite busy so decided to give it another try. BIG MISTAKE. The food was terrible, customer service rubbish all in all a bad experience not to be repeated.

Staff were great, we came on a large family lunch and used outside seated area which is nice even though on a busy road. Food portions good, arrived quickly for the family. We all had a mix of food including vegetarian options and all playes empty!
