when you complain about something you don't expect the supervisor to give you an attitude you're giving them feedback so they can rectify something she was not interested she told us Brian and the manager was not around and would not refund even though most of the food was just left very bad experience a supervisor that doesn't care food left by the serving tray for 5 minutes then brought with the wrong other dish and take them back leave the correct dish making it even colder

Good pub with lots of seating and a good sized outdoor area. It's. Spoons so prices are reasonable compared with other nearby pubs

Nice and low level noise today. Fire 🔥 blazing away nice and cosy. Not too frantic at T time. Enjoyed nice grilled katsu chicken. Bananas with berries and custard, delicious 😋 .

Such a lovely place, beautiful building with really friendly staff and the fastest service I've seen anywhere (I would literally put my phone down from ordering and the drinks were in front of me) Highly recommend!! Shout out to the waitress with the blue hair who was serving us at the speed of sound!

Sometimes very hot due to a fireplace which is constantly on . It makes it very uncomfortable at times . Food and drink are ok sometimes a long wait friendly staff and great easy to use toilets . Can be extremely busy/noisy depending on time of day

My fiance and I have been coming here for many years because it's a nice atmosphere. However, it seems things have changed lately with the quality of service. It has been 3 times that the staff got my fiance's order wrong and everytime he politely tells them they did, they constest it and give an attitude. So today, after they got the order wrong again and my fiance tried to politely tell them about it, the staff argued with him, saying he was the one that got it wrong. Understandably, my fiance lost his cool and got upset. When the manager came in, he did not try to understand the situation, sided with the staff and said he was being rude. Anyways, disappointed and will never come back again.

Nice atmosphere but that's literally it, they have gotten my order wrong 3 weeks in a row and every single time I mention anything, they argue with me like I didn't tell them the order twice in a row so they get it right, they are extremely rude staff. Bunch of little kids working here, hate being told when they've made a mistake so they try to argue their way out of it, what really annoys me personally is because they've gotten the order wrong on two other occasions before this, I made very sure to tell them very clearly what I wanted... Twice in a row, yet they still got it wrong and had the audacity to argue about it. The establishment is cheap but you'll be better off paying a bit more for better food and service.

It's good that there is a place like this in New Malden~ go comfortably eat and drink able to spend time This is the best pub in New Malden.

Very modern pub at such a convenient location. Obviously, weatherspoons prices can't be beat, and the Weatherspoons app makes ordering things too easy. 5 stars.

While having drinks a member of the public was arguing with the bar staff being refused to be served. The man was clearly being rude and he spat at the bartender. Witnessed by my friends and I along with other patrons. After 5 min of what I consider an assault incident the man was still in the bar. The management appeared not to be taking any action regarding the incident, not asking him to leave or supporting the members of staff that had been assaulted. We asked if they had called the police and the answer was no because no one had been physically hit. So I called the police to report the incident. Took a picture of the man and passed it on.

Nice place , no TVs , bartenders slow

The Watchman is on the nice end of the Spoons scale. It's bright and spacious. It has a great outdoor seating area. The food and drink is what you can expect from a Spoons - great value for money. But the service was slower than the average spoons, this may be because of how popular it is; after all there isn't that much competition in New Malden. The other Spoons dilemma, the atmosphere is always sub par compared to traditional pubs - and The Watchman from a decor point of view is the definitive gastro pub. Definitely go for dinner and some drinks then give Woodies or The Royal Oak some love.

Quite busy on the Friday afternoon i visited in October. I had the Afternoon Special with a Guinness for £7.62. Nice fish and chips, however, the Guinness wasn't the best I've had in a spoons.

Lovely local wetherspoons. Food is always great, drinks and food served quickly, staff are all friendly. There's 2 outdoor seating areas. Nearest car park is Malden Centre car park, about a 4 minute walk away. No complaints, just a great pub/restaurant 😊

One of the better Wetherspoons. Nice modern decor. Well lit. Toilets are handy and nearby. Great selection of ales and lagers for under £5 a pint. Good location. Food is typical Wetherspoons, no better here. Always lively with people of all kinds in it.

Food is cheap and spacious interior. Even the location of New Malden Fountain... I am satisfied with everything.

Slightly disinterested staff, and one of those customers who swears constantly and loudly so that everyone in the outside seating area could hear his colourful language.In fact, the worst aspect of many Spoons is generally the customers! The price of cheap beer I suppose.

The pub is lovely & their service time is really fast. It’s become my go to pub now! There are plenty of food options from Korean to Indian menus and i love their Jalfarezi curry. I would have given it a 5 star but every time i have been there the bar staff is really rude and their faces are always frustrated. I understand it’s difficult to work in a pub but i went on a Sunday! It wasn’t busy at all. So yeah a smile and kindness wouldn’t hurt.

Loved the place same I can relax and chill, food is great for the price and fantastic value on drinks staff excellent but could do with more behind the bar when its very crowded One year on and the place is still great value beer price's the best for miles and great deals on food. Now has reopened car park and has Plenty of tables with umbrellas 1 year on Still great new menu with mash what more do u want Price has gone up, but not by much

I recommend "breakfast menu" cheap and unlimited coffee

After my morning workout in the area, I often stop by The Watchman for breakfast and coffee. The place is spacious, clean, and offers an excellent breakfast menu that's great value for money. The free refills on coffee and drinks are a nice perk, and the staff are always friendly. I highly recommend visiting!

The last time they got poisoned, the food is not fresh, it seems that the potatoes were boiled and then fries were fried. I am disappointed that the tables are sticky, terrible, smelly. Is it so difficult to wipe? No wonder so few people go there

The food and space was great. It would be even better if the staff was more approachable. As mentioned, the food is amazing and the vibe is great.

My review is based solely on breakfast service as that is the only times I have visited . Fantastic breakfast menu offering, all freshly made and not greasy. Brilliant value for money and the unlimited hot drink refills are an added bonus. The seating area is always clean and staff are polite. I have had breakfast here on several occasions now and the quality has been consistent on every occassion.

Came in for a quick drink with a friend whilst going through a family tragedy and although I didn't really want to I'm glad I did. The ambience in the Watchman is like no other the staff are so friendly and talk with you as if you're friends especially one of the staff on the floor I think his name is Alex. So sociable and makes fun conversation. Will definitely be back in for drinks in the future. Thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming.

Egg Benedict during breakfast is wrongly overcooked We asked for tooth pick . They don’t have any !!!!

Twice I have been there, and every time I have gotten an upset stomach. Food hygiene standard is very low.

Was actually the best fish and chips ever this time, I have come here before and it's been dry and overcooked, but this time it was perfect. Love the set up for condiments too

I like the Watchman and it proves to be a very popular place for lunch and a drink. The food is prepared well but some dishes appear basic. Sausage and Marsh is a wonderful dish very tasty and very filling . How to put a group of Us to ordered the old day English breakfast which they love . The menu is very affordable and full of choices. The environment is nice and cozy with an open fire in the back dining room which is really nice for people to warm up and feel comfortable having their afternoon lunch or dinner.

I've been here a few months ago and this has to be the most fanciest Spoons I've been to. The atmosphere was inviting. It wasn't super busy as my friends and I were there between 12pm - 1pm. The staff were friendly and nice. Great food!

A rather prestigious public house, with friendly custom, glad I had a drink or two.

Lovely place to eat and drink especially in summer

After work drinks in a good location. However encountered a rude and impolite lady with green hair serving at the bar. Both ladies looked miserable and uninviting which let's down the cheerful atmosphere from everyone else.

It is what it is. You can't beat Wether spoons for value. The beer is always excellent and amazingly priced. The food is pretty ordinary but no complaints.

Went to the bar to order a drink we were a big group of 10 in my table. There were three people only one was busy taking a big order..after waiting for 5 minutes i approach a lady with green hair and i ask her very politely if can i order to her. The look she gave me and the way she replied to me was so rude i was so shocked. She was like yeah wait with an ugly tone and angry face. Never have a been treated like that before and i didnt even deserve it i simply asked her a question… never going back again!

This is a favourite stop for a quick bite...or might I say a feast of a meal at times 😜 fast, cheap and yummy. Tum satisfied and the refill of hot drinks just 👍😃 we normally seat by the fire.

Had a lovely time here, had a great meal few drinks and a good chat with friends and managed to make a few extra friends.

Being the local pub near the workplace, my team and I come here regularly to get lunches and a few drinks after work. Our experience has always been great 👍 no problem ever. The staff has always been great, and the pub is very well managed. Food is great 👍 not that I have tried everything! Just like any other day, we walked into the pub on Good Friday evening after the work to have a drink each. Pub was over whelming and hardly space to sit down. Whilst queuing up, one of us managed to find a table (No. 44). As the queue went down and we were about to order, my colleague who was waiting in the queue for more than 6-7 minutes gets ignored by the bartender and the colleague who went around the pub managed to appear whilst we both are standing gets asked for service. And we got ignored! At this point, my colleague said to the bartender that " I am with these guys, and he(he has been standing at the bar for 6-7 to place the order)will order for us". This took all 3 of us by surprise, and we felt a bit confused and not sure why the treatment was different for those 2? Anyway, we got what we wanted, and we stayed for a bit(Order ID 5610)

Best weatherspoon pub in the area! Great friendly atmosphere, fast service, clean place and great prices.

All the fun and fair at typical weather spoons, had bangers, mash and gravy, below average mash was a bit hard, gravy was a bit lumpy and sausages were no taste. Weren't even hot. Maybe try something else on there menu next time to bit more fair

This spoons isn't as tatty as others I visit The decor, carpets and soft seating are more stylish, I eat at a spoons at least once a week and tho the food is fine, And good value the menu needs updating. I've been eating the same dishes for 10 years !

I have waited 20min for a steak and eggs however I only received the eggs which were cold. I waited 30min for the steak which I order medium rare however it came closer to Well done. I also ordered the ramen noodle bowl which I received warm however I didn't receive noodle but I got Spaghetti pasta inside. I also order two pizzas which were also cold and I had to send back which the were reheated and were only warm. I went there multiple times and was always very happy but today was a disappointment. I believe the Chef need more training and need to learn how to send food

Slightly above average Wetherspoon with all their usual mod cons.

We were in a party of eleven. There were several other groups there, so the atmosphere was somewhat overbearing. However, this did not detract from the excellent service and good food.

We love this place. We have been there many times and we will go back. Chicken wings are really good, pizza too, hamburger is weak tho. The best part is the vibe there which is amazing. Kitchen looks clean, which is important.

Quality of food is not great but won't get better at the point. What service you need is good enough. Atmosphere is great during day time with lots of families and friendly chatter. In the evening though people are there for drinks only at felt a bit rough.
