The Waterside Café in City of London, Westminster

Charged 7.5 for 1 flat and did not want to give a refund

Restaurant with beautiful views of the lake. We arrived almost at closing time at noon and ordered coffees. The waitress made us some very good coffees. It's a shame to have arrived so late, since it is a pleasure to eat with views of the lake, both inside and on the restaurant's terrace. We will return for sure 😉

A nice place for coffee and fast food in the middle of nature

Nice spot, good views into the park with plenty of outdoor seating. Very limited seating indoors, so not a great venue if it rains. Food was mediocre and expensive. Staff were helpful, although quite bored

The views and atmosphere here is everything, save your belly to eat somewhere else

Only issue is no recycling point and all food is in plastic containers. Such a shame. Otherwise nice spot good service and reasonable prices considering london and beautiful surroundings

Most of the sessions are outdoors and without umbrellas. The cake is delicious, but it is exposed to customers and animals.

Terrible, so touristic and on a mild day they don’t have ice? What the hell! Who is the owner? All the money you make you can’t buy an ice machine?

Good place to rest, it is next to the lake and the pier. The hot chocolate is very very delicious. Competitive prices, good service and attention. Next door there are also bathrooms in the park itself.

Most overpriced place in the world! Small portions for copious amounts of money and food is always out of stock.

Sell totally undercooked food - if you want raw flour come here. They also don't do refunds urss you walk 1 mile to the other shop Oh also a rip off. Stay away.

Waited 5mins first in line for an ice cream, there were no prices, but I was shocked to see them charge me £5 for a 99 no extras, not even a flake. Just looked at the online menu and it says 3.30 which is false advertising for a start. Unless the Indian man serving me just added extras for no reason. Avoid this place. Everything's overpriced as hell.

Decent place for a stopover if you're taking a walk. Had a bee flying over my head so I left in a jiffy, otherwise great place.

The location is fantastic but when I ordered brownie sunday it wasn't the same as the picture with no chocolate surup and when I asked why he said we ran out of it ..he should told me that they don't have ...to make me decide to buy it or not

Popped in to grab an ice cream whilst in Regent's Park, lovely little cafe staff are really friendly and helpful.

My 10 year old daughter waited in long queue on hot day looking to purchase water only to get there and be told they don’t accept cash. Didn’t see one sign to advise of this card only policy and the fact they won’t let a child purchase water on a hot day and will leave her dehydrated is shameful practice. If they can’t accept cash then at least they should have offered her tap water.

Food was ok, not great. The staff serving us had problems with understanding us. The chef, who seemed to run the place was very helpful however.

Long queues, a lot of things are out of stock and there was no ice to make iced coffees! I ordered “loaded fries” and they tasted hard and undercooked and the toppings were just sad

Service is awfull. More than ONE hour and half to have our food ready after we’ve ordered. They are not organised, confuse orders. And onlybone person is cooking when a long queue of clients are waiting. Really need to improve how to serve and be more professional.

A small cafe, on the shore of the lake and next to the pedal boats dock. We were on a sunny day and there was no shade to sit outside. The place is lovely.

Most of the food in the menu seemed to be out of stock. My toasted sandwich was cold. Very slow service (I think the staff were doing their best).

A huge, huge thank you to the wonderfully kind and caring staff who really went out of their way to help me look after my injured daughter today. The two women really went above and beyond what was required and it really meant so much. Whomever hired them is lucky to have them. Thank you again! (And she’s fine now, as expected. 😄❤️)

Everything was served in takeout dishes which cause a lot of trash and are not good for the environment

My little sanctuary in Regents park is amazing , the place which I can spend hours reading and relaxing with out thinking of being interrupted, enjoying the coffee and cakes, no matter whats the weatyer like I feel like im at home there , I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank memebers of the staff specially Chantelle as she is absolutely freindly , approachable and always there to help all costumers. I noticed she was preparing a seat for an elderly lady bringing her food at the table. . I highly recommend this beatiful cafe any time during tge week.

This is such a nice place to sit and have a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. The food is okay and the coffee is good and most of all you get to sit out and look out over the water

free babycinno or milk alternative with any hot drink purchase, but hot drink price has increased by 50p, compared to a few months ago. I had cappuccino. It's very good. Environment and service is commendable too.

Perfect spot for a break. Perfect and tasty. Coffee and cakes are delicious. The view is beautiful and you can enjoy in the sun

Cute small cafe with a lakeside view, indoor (small) and outdoor seating. Nothing fancy, but conveniently in beautiful Regents Park

The cafe is under new management and has lost its charm for me. The kitchen wasn’t open. The coffee was served in takeaway cups even though we were sitting in. The sandwiches were Prets quality. I used to love coming here for the delicious breakfast but now it’s underwhelming.

I love this place, it's really quiet, relaxing in front of the lake, its music, its drinks and meals are perfect

This was a nice place to visit with a friend. Was surprised at options for food.. not the typical park cafe in that sense. There was so much I could have tried but will have to come back. A bit on the pricey side though. I have to give a special shout out to one of the servers, Chantel. She was so attentive and kind to us.

Lovely venue but poor supply chain. No decaffeinated coffee for nearly two weeks.

Visited on a Monday morning during quiet hours - service was pleasant, and after a bit of back and forward over items they didn't have available, we had one of the best avocado and smoked salmon scrambled egg on toasts I've had in London. Coffee was very good, and with the sun shining the view over the lake was good too.

Wonderful little coffee shop by the water. They have a great coffee selection to go with the most delicious cakes I've had after the pandemic and friendly, welcoming staff that makes this little shop a great place to spend a nice afternoon in the winter sunshine 🌞 I will be back for sure and definitely recommend a stop by when you find yourself in the area.

Nice place but no decade coffee 😢

Stumbling upon this cute spot was a total surprise, and it's got this super chill vibe that's perfect for kicking back and relaxing. The view is insane – like, seriously magical. But let's talk about the coffee; it's decent, kinda enjoyable, but honestly, it could use a bit more flavor kick. Like, imagine if it had this rich, deep taste – that would totally take this whole experience up a notch, you know? Overall, still a cool place, just craving a bit more oomph in the coffee department.

If you are in Regents park it is highly unlikely that you would miss this cute cafe. We loved spending some quiet time there. The service is a lot slower compared to other cafes but the charm of this place makes up for everything. Has good vegan and vegetarian options.

It's a wonderful stop by for a coffee, cake or hot chocolate in the winter season. They're by the lakeside. Beautiful scenery inside and out. Had a heartwarming hot chocolate when i visited as it was cold. Carrot cake was OK, wish the cream topping was thicker but i should thank them for giving me less calories. Staff were very friendly.

The best waterside cafe. View and ambiance is amazing. Food and service is up to the mark specially Fatima who works there is really good. She made our day with her wonderful service.

Can’t comment on the food as they closed the kitchen just as we came in. The server was so rude we wouldn’t have ordered anything anyway. Shame because it’s a nice setting. Avoid this place.

Avoid as the staff are disorganised, unable to serve customers have consistently been neglegent to customer service. Simple tostie is almost impossible. Thought I would give this place a second chance, unfortunately a big mistake. Did not offer compensation did not bother apologising for their own negligence. What a joke!

Nice for a quick coffee and a cake. A bit overpriced though.

Friendly staff, tasty light bites, we felt comfortable to stay a while after finishing our food to play card games with the kids to decompress.

I got the caramelised crunch cake and it was extremely stale, it was very very dry and tasteless. The product should be fresh.

The summer plates here are shocking. The food isn't even served in a plate, but a styrofoam cup. When I asked where the garlic mayo was, they said "at the bottom of the cup". Who wants to dig around for sauce? It makes no sense. Me and my friend laughed out loud when I got to the bottom of one and saw that there was nothing there. The food is overpriced, bland, and the service is bad. Obviously a lovely location, but cannot recommend it. I get better food at Wetherspoons...

The side window where they sell the ice cream has a sign that states they sell milkshakes too. So after waiting on line I get to the front and they tell me no, I've got to order inside. Inside I have to wait again and when I told one of the staff about the sign she flatly said I was wrong. Another staff member was nicer and acknowledged that the sign is misleading.... Which just means they know about it. Wasted 10mins when I could have done it in 4.

Stopped by to grab a quick tea, and was so pleasantly surprised to find so many vegan pastries available!! I couldn't help but add a vegan croissant to my order 🥐😍. Can't wait to go back.

Nice clean cafe with seating and toilets few minutes walk away. Menu is a bit expensive but it's central London. Boating is around the corner. Mosque is 5 mim walk away.

A LOVELY AND COZY LITTLE CAFÉ IN LONDON. LOVE THE LAKE VIEW. NICE CAFE TO SIT AND RELAX WHILE SIPPING MY COFFEE. FOOD IS AVERAGE BUT LOVE THE ICE CREAM.

The most lovable thing about it is its location and outdoors area with the view on the lake. It has some savory and sweet options as snacks and serves decent coffee and other drinks.

Lemon tart is too die for, so very tasty and yummy. Chai latte is good and so is the cappuccino. Haven't tried any other food drinks or ice cream yet! No toilets and that's why I wouldn't give it 5 stars. Really need toilets if you're serving food! How is it legal to have no toilets if you're serving food?

Cute little cafe with great ambiance. Lake view is amazing from the cafe. About the food I would tell it’s okay for the price. Not very expensive but okay. I tried coffee milkshake which was not really thick but yeah I would say that’s okay and I tried a cake was nice. Dog friendly cafe. No restroom inside the cafe. Friendly staffs. Good service. I would give 100/100 for cleanliness.

Lovely cafe in the park. Staff are very friendly. My children loves boating here. The whole park is just amazing with variety of areas for everyone to chill, from shaded park to lush green grass and boating. Lots of walking and kids area to play. This cafe is situated in a very good place. I have been visiting this cafe for a very long time and it’s just amazing.

The location is nice... That's about it. The cakes were just coloured sugar and the service overwhelmed and unfriendly.

The cafe is very clean, Nice seating area outside so it’s doggie friendly:) Which is great for us as we love taking our dog most places. Staff are nice, friendly and helpful. Cakes, and coffee are nice and menu looks lovely too :) would probably come back and have a nice brunch:) Unfortunately we missed it by 10 mins but would go back :)

Lovely spot to stop and have a drink. My mocha could have been a little hotter but was delicious. I was looking for the toilet but unfortunately there weren't any hence the 4 stars.

This cafe is hugely better than the others in the park. Proper food made to order and very tasty too. Quick competent staff who are happy to chat. Hopefully Royal Parks resist the temptation to hand out another concession to a chain who really couldn’t care less (see the hub and old honest sausage).

The setting is lovely the offering isn’t the pastries were soo dry and rock hard, my wife nearly broke her tooth. Staff friendly enough but no organisation. Hate to think how this place runs when really busy

I don’t usually leave reviews but the food at The Waterside café was really bad,I am sorry to say it’s probably one of the worst we ever had! Such a shame as it’s such a lovely little place by the water.

We were sitting outside in a beautiful spot. Queue to get anything at the bar. Apparently they don't sell alcohol. All employees were very very nice and polite. Please give better cones for ice cream cause the guy who making them was struggling since the cone was not the best one, cracked in a second. Recommend place also for families Plenty of spaces for prams
