Such a gem of a pub! Great food and selection of beer. It was very busy every night we walked past it. We went on a Sunday for some dinner, they serve food until 7pm on Sundays and we got there just before and still were served. We had really good fish and chips (massive portion) and some bangers and mash which was 10/10. Great interior too, and lovely for a dinner with friends and family as they have lots of big tables.

Went for the Harry Potter Christmas night. I've been to many of the different theme nights and they have gradually gotten more expensive and not as good, the chocolate fudge cake was inedible extremely dry very few people finished it after mentioning it to the kitchen i didn't even receive a apology. The main course was nice but very small. The event in my opinion was a cash cow rather than a well executed one.

Our experience was a little swayed by the weather in the sense that when we went, it was freezing cold outside, and so there was no one else in the venue, but they had heaters on making it nice and toasty inside, food was very quick to come out, and the hostess was very friendly.

Went in for a fry up breakfast today. We were served a stone cold breakfast. The bacon was hardly cooked, and all the food was cold, not even lukewarm. We asked to have fresh food made, and when it came back, it was just our old food microwaved. I know it was the same food as I had half buttered a slice of toast and received the same slice back! It was bloody awful.

Let me start with the positives, the staff, all very friendly and attentive they really were. Unfortunately for us that's where the positives ended, The decor too modern, how people bang on about a traditional style taverna I've no idea, far too crowded we were literally sat on top of the table next to us, I get they want to make money but it kills any idea if a romantic night out for two. Lastly and probably the most important, the ridiculously priced food (which in both mine and my wife's opinion was average) both dishes we ordered came with no sides no vegetables, rice, or even roast potatoes, my Stifado was just that in an earthware pot and at ÂŁ26 it wasn't like it was cheap. My wife's meatballs we actually thought they'd sent out a starter portion, 4 meatballs sat on the smallest amount of rice with some tomato sauce, neither dishes could be forgiven by exquisite taste, because they just didn't have it. It's a shame as we love Greek food and we always go to one Sheffield on London Road, which is typical Greek, real Taverna atmosphere with mountains of food with the best taste. I'll not mention the name as I don't like to promote other restaurants in a review of another (if your interested you'll find it on Google). This will be our first and last visit for Odyssey.

Had a tasty mocha in pleasant surroundings, people watching from the raised area. Not a fantastically large selection, but all quality beverages and snacks. My mocha was nicely presented and tasted great. What more could you ask for.

A relatively small but delightfully charming eating place. With four or five tables with accompanying chairs and a couple of comfortable padded chairs and a two seater settee. There isn't a large selection available but the portions are generous and excellent value. The tea loaf which I sampled was very tasty as was the orange and lemon cake which I took out for later consumption. The hot chocolate, I had was served with a generous accompaniment of cream and marshmallows. I found the place to have a very friendly and relaxed ambience, initially I was the sole customer but it wasn't long before others steadily strolled in and leisuredly sat down to enjoy what was available. A good place to enjoy a quiet beverage, or a satisfying panini, sandwich or jacket potato, or perhaps, treat oneself to a slice of cake. The cafe is however situated upstairs in Chesterfield Antiques Centre so the dozen or so stairs might mean that it is less accessible to some. Should these not pose a problem, It's a quiet little haven away from the everyday bustle. A clearly marked folding board is usually placed nearby outside giving more precise directions.
