Really good Service in a lovely Hotel. Very clean and great setting.

Alright food and drink. Nice location at Rushden Lakes but when you order delivery they deliver it to you in clingfilm wrap? Been like it for at least 6 months as well so not like it's just that they have run out of bags. Packaging is not suitable for delivery and generally find food all in the clingfilm rather than box it comes in. Are you that cheap you can't even put things in a bag and better boxes so they dont spill everywhere? This is a professional buisness not a friend coming round with some home cooking they have done.

We were staying down the road at the Queens head, walked down the village and popped in here for a drink, what a great friendly little pub, Brian the landlord and his mum Linda, made us very welcome, we felt like part of the local community, we enjoyed so much we went back several times during our 2 night stay, and much preferred it to the Queens head. Seeing as my review was removed I will try again! Stay away. I went to the so called “quiz night” and it was awful. You would have found a better atmosphere in a morgue. Hardly any there, no music, vile smell and it was dirty. I use to frequent the pub before lockdown and it was fantastic. It has apparently changed hands since and not for the better. I will definitely not be going back. The smell and filth were enough to put me off my beer let alone dreary feel to the place. Very sad to say that I will not be recommending a once lovely pub

Unfortunately we decided to use Delicious for a home delivery of stuffed crust Pizza, Chicken kebab with all the salad and a portion of salted chips. The total cost was £31.39. Delivery was stated as 45 mins, we had to wait 1.5 hours. What we received can only be described as the worst takeaway food we have ever had. The chips were hard luke warm and dry without any seasoning on, the pizza had virtually no sauce on the base and the pepperoni and donna meat was so dry that it was like chewing cardboard. The final insult was the chicken kebab. It was slavered in chilli sauce that looked like it had been put on with a shovel, it was absolutely everywhere. The salad consisted of a few limp faded green peppers, a single slice of onion, mashed up lettuce all floating in water. We called delicious to complain and asked for a refund. All we were offered was a replacement salad. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. If you use delicious you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. We will never eat this garbage again... Thanks Delicious great customer care. Not!

We had 2 bacon rolls and 2 coffees for less than a tenner. The crusty rolls and bacon were delious and excellent value. The staff are happy, friendly and helpful. This is the first time we've ever been in and we'll definitely be back.

No words can describe how fantastic this pub is, this has become our regular and we have no faults! food is fantastic, we have started doing the bottomless gin afternoon tea ,again fantastic, great supply of Gin well looked after, cakes to die for! Highly recommend! Staff are fantastic and very welcoming! Location of the pub is great, sit in the comfort of the country pub or down by the river overlooking fields. Highly recommend this pub :)

Fast large portions and good chow mein like in Sshenzhan or Hong Kong

Did recently put a good review about a curry deal and drink but today 13 December the overall experience was poor. Visited between 11 and 12 am for a drink,would have stayed longer but there are a few problems . 1. As on a .visit 2 weeks ago lack of staff. 2 Sitting by table 41? in bar area near fruit m/c language was somewhat on the f and c basis 3 Did complain to wetherspoons after a visit in Sept and got a rather bland reply,but in fairness the manager,Sarah did later send a reply and was on top of the problem 4 When i came in male member of staff was having to do a lot,maintenance,cellar work and barwork. 5 Went to gents toilets before i left at least 3 soap foam dispensers were empty 6 Did contact the pub directly re radiators being stone cold,did move to the lounge area? and didnt feel comfortable ,heat wise,i am warm bloodied despite open fire being on i left.No reply and rads cold and no open fire today. 7 The app needs updating 3 of 4 guest advertised were off,leaving Old Empire The good news! the staff that were on very very efficient,polite and doing what they could 8 The person running around doing everything did put 2 more ales on.and ales looked after and served were perfect. 9 Been in 30 odd Wethersoons pubs and this pub needs some help .

Great takeaway place in Rushden Pizza, burgers and fries and especially kebabs! Great prizes and buy one get one pizza frees

Really delicious, lovely food. Delivery time jumped to later after order was placed & webpage refreshed, but fortunately not too much of an issue. Delivery driver was very friendly and happy 😎 The chicken skewers come as 4 when the menu is 6 - odd?

I stayed at The Royal Oak for one night whilst on a business trip. I also was fortunate enough to enjoy dinner and breakfast there. The staff were super helpful and friendly and both meals delicious. I have a couple of special dietary requirements and everyone was extremely accommodating. My room and bathroom were very clean and beautifully appointed. I would like to mention Emma on Reception who was particularly helpful during my stay I highly recommend The Royal Oak.

Have visited this restaurant twice this year now and can truly say the food is delicious. I recommend the gyozas, the Duck Bao buns and the Makku Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely atmosphere, great service, please try it.
