The best restaurants in Leicester East Midlands

It was ok but I wonder why their hygiene rating us a 4 and not at 5. It put me off eating there at the buffet. Staff were friendly however. Toilets were very small, only 1 shared.

Flavour was lacking of the food very disappointed as expected much better with the high prices

Went for a family meal with a toddler. We ordered the both the chicken and veggie momos and crispy aubergine, which was lovely, to start. The momos were water logged and not really what I would call monos but chicken kebabs in momo wraps. The mains were ridiculously chilli. To the point where all 4 adults were unable to eat much of the food. My dad eats green chilli's with every meal and even he found the food chilli. We ordered the chicken, lamb pots and aa veg biriyani, which was also ridiculously spicey. We ordered mild veg rice which the veg was burnt. Such a shame that the food was inedible.

Quite the most awful meal I've for years. Chips were not Belgian style, chicken popcorn tasteless and thick with batter. No garnishing etc to add taste. Tiny tin of coke. Service virtually non existent and table etc dirty.

I had food from here and I have never been so disappointed. I ordered oxtail which cost £15.36 by the way and it only had 6 oxtails wid full ah gravy! I’m here thinking that I would have gotten more with that price. I’m from the Caribbean and I have never seen such thing. The food didn’t even taste like it worth it. The coleslaw tuff an flavourless and the rice hard, dry and taste less. I can’t believe I spent so much money on this meal. If you’re going to sell oxtail for such a price… sell it with rice please. At least!

Absolutely loved the place! Especially their fudge cake. Would highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back here again!

Buy a pizza after a long time. Honestly, everything changed customer service too slow, pizza tastes and quality not as good as it used to be. It used to be the best pizza shop in Leicester

Great place for a small event but very sad it's closing down.

The coffee was half of the size and did not meet our expectations. I mentioned it to the person on the counter and they reacted in an unacceptably rude way. The experience has left me and my colleagues very frustrated.

This is arguably one of the best culinary experiences in Leicester. I've been a good 6 times now, and the food reminds me of the hotpot in China. Ordering/the process takes a little getting used to, but the food is actually phenomenal. I can see seem of the bad reviews are related to service, and they can be quite particular about late/underfilled reservations, but what authentic Chinese place doesn't have a stressed out owner? I tend to go on weekdays as it's a lot more of a chilled vib as it gets quite packed on weekends. Would absolutely recommend trying this place!

Me and my friends went there to get some food. So we ordered 1, 7 inch pizza when we recieved that the bottom was covered in oil and worst of all the pizza bread was made from naan , we also ordered some chips and they came out overcooced and some were also burned. We thirdly ordered chicken strips and they had so much salt on it that we had to chuck it away, finally i had gotten a chicken tikka wrap and it came out as a panini when i wanted a wrap . I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE JUST GET DFC ITS BETTER .

Been coming to this take away for many many years and always been one of if not the best Cantonese takeaway away shops in Leicester. Family run business and the food is outstanding.
