The best restaurants in Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

Dropped in for lunch and to use the facilities. Found staff at the Starbucks considerate and welcoming, things clean and the seasonal drink I tried very nice! Also surprised to see dogs are allowed inside 🐶 so will probably return with my pup

Had a Blue Cheese burger, really enjoyed it and the service was just wonderful; staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again!

Took my son and daughter in-law for an evening meal as we go whenever we are in the area. Once again the food was lovely and I couldn't fault it at all but the staff have changed & the service has sadly gone down hill since our last visit. The staff seemed to be more interested in each other and their phones! Maybe the reason was the landlady was a bit worse for the wear! Staggering about with a drink in her hand, & we did hear the staff commenting and 'giggling' at her.. Yes it's the Christmas season and we all like to let our hair down but I found this very unprofessional. Hopefully on our next visit after the new year the staff will be trained better and their phones left in their lockers like all good restaurant rules. Happy New Year!

Have always loved this Pub and now it has had a recent makeover it is extremely attractive I telephoned to book a table for "Christmas Lunch" once their set menuhad been published and was available Fine However when we arrived we foundthat we were required to pre-order if we required to use this set menu Unfortunately we were not advised of this All dishes on that menu could be ordered from the A laCarte menu We had a lovely meal and enjoyed ourselves but of course it was moreexpensive so beware if you are thinking of using the set Christmas Menu!! It was a shame however that the little touches eg Christmas Napkins or a little Christmas decoration on the table had not been thought of Still hey there was a tree and a few other bits......

Lovely lunch in this quiet country pub. Amazing food, chips were to die for and proper double cream on my desert, very impressed. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Great background music too,loved it.

Ordered on kiosk, selected pay cash. Waited waited waited.. So only to find out after some time that your order will not begin until you have paid. No sign saying pay right away. Most assume you pay when it's ready. There were around six of us waiting to pay cash. The signing should be changed to let people know. Total mayhem in this restaurant and rude staff. Love KFC, but won't be back to this branch.

food was late and cold, took 20 minutes from getting the message to say out for delivery to actually be delivered and I live 5 mins aaway at most. wrong food was delivered. waiting for a refund now

Very hit and miss. Sometimes the coffee tastes okay and sometimes it’s bad - never experienced this at any other Costa. Doesn’t open early enough or stay open long enough. Waiting room attached to the cafe is miserable - cold and uninviting. Sadly the other cafe on platform 2 is even worse. I prefer to buy at Kings Cross where I know the coffee is good. Staff aren’t motivated, must be something wrong with the management

Just collected our app order. The girl on the drive thru speaker was very blunt then when we collected our food from the window she was chewing gum. I think this is disgusting especially in the hospitality/fast food industry.

Wasn’t the greatest slightly disappointing

Food was ready quickly, milkshake was nice but didn't taste like chocolate. The seating area needed a clean.

Amazing tasty hot food as always, we don't order from anywhere else. A couple of bits were missing but were sorted out asap after we phoned up and they sent them out to us free of charge within 20 mins!

Pizza is always perfect, the cleanliness is to a good standard. I order from here every week, occasionally when I ring up, they will tell me they'll ring back in 2 minutes as they are busy, however I never get the call back.
