This is a very traditional British style bakery selling standard British desserts such as Jam Tarts, Cornflake Tarts and Caramel Shortbreads etc. They also have a decent range of pasties, although the only vegetarian options I could see were Cheese & Onion and Spinach & Feta. I got the former. It was decent. I also got a latte which was pretty poor. So averaged out.

The lady serving took a few minutes to realise there were customers at the till, as she was busy talking in the back. Staff were pleasant enough. Food was quick to arrive, but the sausage pattie in my breakfast muffin was crunchy-like it had been cooked and kept warm for ages or heated in the microwave for too long!

Ordered a coconut milk caramel frappe vi drive through. Server did not add caramel. Assumed it was an allergy. Requested caramel so squirted across top. Argued that this was standard when I asked her to drizzle on sides of cup. Even suggested I take a picture if I wanted to complain. As I put window up to avoid further argument, she called me rude. So my first time leaving a review and will be putting a complaint in with photos. Thanks for the suggestion. Btw you were incorrect - check your own website. Threw the drink away, very liquid and tasted poor. A total waste of time!

I called off for a takeaway soya latte and was astonished at what I was charged. £4.20 is more than I've ever been charged for a coffee. I think £3.70 is more than enough to pay for a latte without an extra 50p for a dairy free option. I won't be going here again for my coffee.

My grandparents recommended this place to us as they said the roast dinners were really good, so we visited at the weekend with them and our children. We ordered four roast dinners and two kids meals. The portion sizes were huge and the food was amazing! The meat was cooked to perfection and it came with huge homemade Yorkshire puddings. There was enough on our plates to take home and have a second meal the following day! It was great value for money and the food tasted amazing, the staff were friendly and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience, would definitely recommended!

Pre Ordered on just eat at 4-45 to be delivered at 8. Restaurant not answering phones. Had message to say delivery man on his way at 8.52 an hour later not here so at 9.35 I drove to fetch it got there. There were people in the restaurant saying they were waiting and another lady ordered for 7-45 she was there waiting. The staff were stood about talking and eating in the kitchen. They weren’t busy at all. The driver had arrived at my home whilst we were there. Got home which is only 7 minutes away the food was dreadful. Bhajis were cold and rubbery the naans were hard and cold. The order wasn’t even complete, 1 curry missing. Will never use again and will never recommend. *** Don’t waste your money or time here ***

Badly cooked chips, all hard and barely warm when served. Small portion £2.80 is just that only big enough for a child. Will drive by in the future.

£2.50 for a popadom and £6.10 for a medium glass of house red wine. How can they justify total rip off, this is Wall Heath not Birmingham!!!!

We didn't visit the Gardners but we had a takeaway. I had a chicken vindaloo, i have had hotter kormas. the pilau rice i believe was boiled rice with yellow food colouring. Onion bhajis were a good size but as with most of the other dishes we had was very bland. all the food was edible. Gardners at Clay Cross you really need to up your game.
