The best restaurants in Babergh East of England

The service is slow, just like so many other reviews say. The waiting staff make a good effort at appearing upbeat but it can't compensate for all those long waits. The food was very mediocre and my fish was shriveled and dry. The thought of drawing their attention to it just didn't seem worth it. I didn't want to prolong the agony. They have a great provision for dogs.

On line order was incorrect. Attempted to phone them on three occasions and they did not answer the phone. Avoid ordering online from this branch, however we have never had this issue whilst ordering in store.

I've been using this Spoons regularly for a few years now. Until Covid the quality of the real ales served here was decent. However, over the last few years it's been increasingly difficult to get a decent pint here. All the real ales served here are nearly always cloudy and flat. I doubt there's a member of staff who knows the first thing about the storage or the serving of proper beer. In future I'm going to give this place the miss and head for the White Horse instead.

Thought it time to try this venue as most people seemed happy with it. Very disappointing breakfast menu and pricey for what was offered. Much like a roast lunch a decent breakfast such be a breeze for a place like this. Much better to be had and at a better price. ( Jimmys Farm for instance) As with the shop the owners just want to squeeze a high price for everything. The only plus was the great view - surprised they don't have a balcony.

Went here for lunch but disappointed that they had absolutely nothing for vegans apart from soya milk for coffee/tea.

Always loved the pizza's from here, but unfortunately will probably not be using them in a hurry again. The last time we ordered we didn't received either the coleslaw or the drinks we had ordered, was a bit naffed but let it go. Last night I made an online order for the Crazy 9" meal deal which at the time of ordering let me choose which pizza I wanted, took me through to the chicken which clearly stated 6 pieces and a dip, I also received chips and a drink with the deal. Chips are never nice from here so we usually stick in the air fryer for a few mins to actually cook them. On arrival we find we only received 4 pieces of chicken, having had missing items before I decided to ring the restaurant to inform them. I was met with a very abrupt lady who continually talked over me and insisted that I only got 4 pieces of chicken with this deal. Very rude indeed and that's the reason I may not return. She needs a lesson in customer service I think. I then went and checked the confirmation email I had received for my order that clearly stated 6 pieces. I then went on to their website again to find they had quickly changed the meal deal to 4 pieces, amazing how quick some people can work and change things when they want to appear correct. So I decided to actually go through the deal again and low and behold once I got to the chicken pieces it still informed me that 6 strips where included. So when you hurry to change things I suggest you change the whole meal deal and not just the front part of the content. The pizza itself was lovely but the rudeness and being scolded like I was a five year old was not. Very let down. Staff need training in friendliness.

Called in here whilst in Sudbury. Not been for years. Popped into Greggs and the food, as always, was good, the cleanliness of the place wasn't that great. The girls were standing about chatting and the floor was covered in crumbs and looked decidedly grubby. Not somewhere I usually go to and I don't think this is a place I will be in any hurry to rush back to.

Ordered my meals through the McDonald's app at 16.50. Should have known there would be an issue when I then received a message to say my delivery would be delayed due to another order. Food finally arrived at 18.05 and was stone cold and they had put cheese in the burgers which I had asked to be removed. Contacted McDonald's and was given an Uber number to ring. Have spent all evening and this morning trying to get through to be finally told that they will not refund my money as they feel that waiting for over an hour is fine and that it doesn't matter whether the food was edible, and that I had actually received my food. Therefore they will not refund my money. Contacted McDonald's to be told that there is nothing they can do I have to go through Uber. Nobody wants to take responsibility. I will never use this again. No good going to McDonald's either as can't park due to Uber drivers taking up all parking spaces. Furious

This is the best Chinese food we've had since moving to Great Yeldham. They delivery which is great. The food was hot, delicious and freshly prepared. The reception staff are polite, friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend it highly enough

Ordered takeaway at 18.30 told an hour and food finally turned up at 20.40 . Phoned twice chasing it and rude staff saying it only a bit late . Bloody joke first and last time ordering from them . Food was cold and had to reheat as well .

Call at Tesco's in Boston for an awesome and amazing culinary experience best features the massive mushroom decent pot of tea to lovingly reliable friendly service with a smile shame there's no table reservation service

Worst KFC or fast food place that I have found E.G this visit ordered fillet tower Meal with a Pepsi and a original wrap What you get is a piece of chicken with a slice of lettuce in between two bits of bread half solid, half liquid gravy and a wrap but they couldn’t wrap up properly and the Pepsi was only half full and that’s with ice. Absolute joke this place

Did not know it was now a pizza place. Ordered usual Indian and got 5 calls from a London number which was random. Then 2hours later called them as still on delivery and they claiming they knocked but no one answered...or their phone calls from a London number?? They took my money and refuse to refund or deliver. Don't even think of ordering from this place seriously.
