Quirky delightful shop with great value handbags and clothes, as well as sundry gifts. The owners made us welcome and told us about their Friday morning crafting sessions around the table centre store.

I've had the steak 3 times in a row lately and keep coming back for more. It's amazing! Great ales and a real gem of a pub. We're lucky to have such a great place so close by!

We had dinner bed and breakfast here for our anniversary, the room was amazing and the staff couldn’t do any more for us.. even making arrangements for my husband to have his favourite lobster 🦞 I would highly recommend the Lion and we will definitely be returning in the summer to sit in their lovely gardens. Thank you to everyone at the Lion 🦁

Excellent food and service! Would recommend! I always think there’s a difference between a bog-standard cook and a chef who puts some love (& skill) into their food. We’ll be back! Service with a genuine smile, too! Free parking outside when you use the pub.

Lovely cafe with a really great team. Staff were super friendly and happy. Had the veggie breakfast, the avocado was delicious and I highly recommend you go with the sourdough toast - it was fantastic. If I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely visit again.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch and dinner here before staying overnight and if one word is needed to sum up this place it would be 'charming'. The location is charming, the building is charming and all the staff are charming. Linda is a lovely hostess and instantly makes you feel at home. The facilities are spotless and the prices are very reasonable. Particular mention goes to the chef. Not only is the food absolutely delicious and exquisitely presented but it is always piping hot. Already planning a return trip and stay.

I have been to this pup twice , once for wagyu burgers (amazing food) but today I ordered some pizzas thought I’d try them out as they’re constantly posting about them . Only to get back home and realise they were pathetic same with the sauce for £35 I could have gotten 2 large dominos pizzas with a side I ate some of the “spicy” pizza had 0 spice on it at all and another “genovease” for the kids who spat it out so we had a bite and my wife spat it out too sauce was just not nice at all I’d rather mayo “I’d never have mayo on a pizza” I will return to try it again one day I guess but until then I’d recommend going there for a pint and wagyu burgers ! The pub is brilliant and service just couldn’t stand these pizzas

Sunday roast was brilliant which is not the norm around here. 5 stars. Easy Decor is quite modern and maybe not to my taste but not a problem, food is good.

Lovely to see a pub renovated to a high standard & turned back into a pub again (not a house) great food & beer great staff all very friendly even down to the locals (lol).
