The best restaurants in Brentwood East of England

Excellent food, friendly staff, lovely old pub. There were 5 of us and each found our meal to be home cooked, very fresh and delicious. 3 of us had liver and bacon with mashed pots and broccoli, and agreed it was the best we’d ever had outside home!

Absolutely abysmal, if you order a donner kebab you expect it to be made up..everything was separate in cartons, the kebab meet was curled up like it had been there since lunchtime, the sauces (chillie & garlic was from iceland) clearly on the bottle..£11.50 to do it yourself donner kebab kit, Shocking, terrible, and dam right lazy

Excellent service, price and quality. Been many times for fish n chips and they never disappoint. Highly recommended

great friendly local pub, great 'proper ' beer, friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere, just want you want from a local pub / bar. very easy going place with regular live (decent) music. well worth trying out, although its not a secret anymore

We have been very regular takeaway customers for 8 years but sadly this will be our last order. For the last three times we have ordered via the website, paid with order confirmed online it has not turned up. Had to phone and then place order again so food turned up super late. This time order received was not quite correct and as compensation we had an extra pilau rice to go the mushroom rice we had ordered!! 🤬

An excellent Boxing Day dinner with the family. Our third years visit was very enjoyable with good food, great staff and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to all.

FROM 06.01.2025 PIZZA GO GO ( Brentwood) HAVE DIFFERENT OWNER ( Ali and other people don’t work there ,ACCEPT:delivery man). TODAY Thursday 09.01.25 From 7/8 Years REGULAR CUSTOMER PIZZA GO GO ( 1x every week )was ordered ! We live just corner from :Pizza Go Go , EX OWNER ALI ( For those who don’t know: Ali most times he takes order over phone and make Pizza at the same time (day)respectfully for costumers and all was fair and wants make customer happy from order! I just finding out today about different owners! Today ( as every week I order Pizza Go Go .I was very surprised but, I was told over the phone that I will wait 45minute for my pizza ( my house is corner away). To today 09.01.2025 My pizza always ( Perfectly done by Ali ore other Ali )was delivered on the way to other costumers because is so close by …. Today My Pizza arrived after 45minute burn from outside and uncooked on the middle. I called and I try explain to someone but someone didn’t understand. So I took Pizza and went there… ( Never happened before) I wish get money back . I tried explaining 4X different ways (+over the phone) that they have too high temperature oven and pizza is burned from outside and undercooked inside! They offer replacement pizza, explaining / :Pizza Go Go has (different Boss ,management and people , /so they JUST STARTED from 06.01.2025 RUNNING PIZZA GO GO( learning) from this week . I loose patience( and I am patient person ) But I don’t like when someone plays ( game)with my patience ( Acting like they don’t understand) . I wasn’t very happy but I left without other pizza and NO MONEY BACK! I WILL NEVER ORDER PIZZA GO GO Again ( 7years Regularly costumes) New owner doesn’t have respect to customers!

We ordered a vegan cheese and tomato pizza amongst a family meal deal as our daughter has a dairy allergy. Upon collecting the order they gave us an original Cheese and tomato pizza. When querying the order the manager was extremely rude and said we would have to order another pizza as they had made the wrong one. He then refused to correct the order. After eventually agreeing they had made the wrong order, he then refused to recook the rest of the order and said it would have to be eaten cold. We asked for our money back and to cancel the order and he refused directing us towards our bank to refund the money. Such a bad experience and this was before we even had any food.

Perfect for Sunday Roast in cold Winter months. Cozy atmosphere with open log fires and great service from our waitress, Chloe.

Unfortunately the food was over cooked and hard, think because it was the end of the day but still. It wasn’t enjoyable

Once again The Eagle Pub delivered great service, great food and a great atmosphere for my family get together. Meeting up with family from overseas in such a wonderful place really makes the day special. Thank you once again everyone at The Eagle Pub Kelvedon Hatch for making us feel so welcome. We’ll be back!!!!

For many years this was my go to takeaway, never an issue. The last 3 orders have been horrific and I now will never return (found out it is since new owners). My meals have been un edible. The “chicken” in the main dishes is the consistency of a gelatin like spongey watery foam. This has been the same on 3 orders months apart. There is no way this is chicken or 100% chicken, got told by health inspectors they suspect paste imitation chicken stuff. Everyone the whole meal has had to be thrown out because this is so disgusting its made us all feel unwell. They also stopped giving out prawn crackers and the delivery is way behind the time given.

Took my grandchildren here today for breakfast with Santa. Lots of free parking, just remember to put your car registration number in the machine on the bar. Cosy, beautiful old building. Welcomed by a very friendly man and served by a lovely, patient lady. Made to feel very welcome. Quick service. Very nice breakfast. Our visit with Santa was very relaxed, not rushed at all, he was happy to chat away with the children and then gave them chocolate and a gift bag with goodies in. Such a lovely place to spend a morning and now my eldest Grandson has asked to go for his birthday breakfast in February. Thank you to all the staff and Happy Christmas!

Go in Neros for a coffee a couple of times every week, I have a small 2kg Pomeranian which will only sit on my lap as he is a very timid dog and frightened of other dogs, I was told by one of the staff for the first time that my dog had to go on the floor, there was a big dog opposite me so didn’t want to put my dog on the floor as this would have freaked him out, the lady was very rude, we had to leave and quite frankly won’t ever go in there again!!!!!!! Shame on u Neros u have lost me and all my family as customers!!!!
