The best restaurants in Brentwood East of England

Booked a table for Sunday lunch and the table we were allocated was tucked in a dark corner with poor lighting and felt like we were in a small cupboard . We did ask if we could move on to one of the many empty table but were refused as they were reserved I didn’t realise it was an option to reserved a specific table? A constant chair knock from the passing servers forced me to push our table further in to the cupboard. The disappointment didn’t stop their pate starter was served with thin hard crisp bread. The roast beef was wafer thin and served with courgette? Not a suitable vegetable for a Sunday roast in my opinion. However I did order a cauliflower cheese but more disappointed, it was tangy. I decided against eating it. The servers didn’t compensate with hospitality they were huffy and puffy and everything seemed to much trouble which in result made us feel invaluable and unwelcome. Didn’t bother with a pudding as honestly just didn’t want to spend any more money with this establishment.

Food was good, service not so great which is why we chose not to pay the full service charge they had already added to the bill! My daughter was our taxi driver for the evening and as there was a small portion left we thought it might be nice for her to have a little treat once she had dropped everyone off but we were refused a takeaway box which is the first time I have been anywhere that does that! Apparently prefer to throw it in the bin! Won’t be going back as staff were not very pleasant

Amazing food as always. Leon and the waitresses was so friendly and helpful we always come here at least twice a month and always the same fantastic services and food

Went here this evening to see what it was like and was warmly greeted by the staff and seated very quickly. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the wines were really good and the Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve ever had. I’m very fussy when it comes to roast dinners and honestly, it was insane! We will certainly be back!

Went for a couple of pints at lunch time, and had a lovely time. Delightful bartender, who was friendly, helpful and efficient. Good selection of real ales and craft. Comfortable and clean environment with a nice atmosphere, when we went. We're not local, but hope to go back for a curry one evening, as the menu looked great.

My husband and I popped in Friday 25th ...never been in Nandos ! Asked Kayleigh how it works (ordering food etc) and she explained everything and was so helpful ..... She really went above and beyond . Food was great... Good choice on the menu. We had a terrible day making funeral arrangements ...Kayleigh thank you xxxxxxx

Amazing Sunday lunch, really good portion size and had a great chat with the staff and owner. We will be back for the fireworks next week!

Best indian in brentwood - dont do delivery service, collection only. Amazing quality meal and good value, have brought many friends and family who all agree the food is some of the best they have had

Had treated my mum to Afternoon tea will not be going back.Was very surprised at the lack of variety in the sandwiches also they were not the normal finger sandwiches more like doorstops , crusts were left on,Some of the scones were so hard it’s a wonder we didn’t break our teeth,such a shame as we have been there before and it has been very nice.We were informed that they were using different bread suppliers bit of a feeble excuse I can only guess the chef didn’t know how to make finger sandwiches.I did wonder why we were the only ones in there.Certainly wasn’t worth the money.If you like doorstep sandwiches fine if not don’t bother to go waste of money.

100% wouldn’t recommend at all so over priced massively got quoted £12.50 per person for 1 platter of sandwiches for all 15 people drinks not included in the price am hugely disappointed at the service and has really messed up plans 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

Service was good, food a little bland but served a purpose while working away from home, WiFi was good so could work at the table.

Love their apple Danish!!! Very helpful waitress and they sort out light meals. Closes far too early and they make sure customers leave before 3pm as they clean before they shut. Very good coffee!

Food was so delicious and amazing. absolutely loved it. Will definitely order again and Would recommend.

Magic as always and so privileged to be taken cared by Rui Jesus what a legend! He made sure I got the table ready, Sigu made sure my ordered is taken and wow what a legend helped by Harrisson witch with his magic hands he out of a sudden showed up with my dish omg and my bread hot bread omg....and Sigu made sure I add some goat cheese 🧀 on you my dish with was extremely delicious OMG plus ➕I been hugged by Rehema as she literally came to say thanks and she made my heads jump telling me she was reading my review from last time and she was wow as was the best ever thing she was reading 📖 ever bless her! Love Rehema to bits and she looked extremely elegant and so professional omg and such a lovely blue scarf awwww I said I will copy paste her style blesss her real legends plus saa Alina with actual she saw me and asked me if I am 👌 okay and asked her for my bill witch was a piece of cake from one more to multitasking and serve another table plus so super professional and quickly so so extremely polite and what a smile ☺ she brought me the bill. Love you all and sure compliments to the chefs for the best veg. dish ever. Amazing experience and magic as all the magic team. Thanks again for having me and oooo yeeees Sigu is the best smile in this industry and yeeeep this legend boy has such a potential omg and such a super energy OMG !!!! Love you Sigu and loveyoy all!!!!!! Massive consideration for all the hard work legends out there!!!!!
