I recently visited Café Mocha and had an excellent experience. The pizza was very good—fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and delicious flavors. The staff were extremely polite and made me feel welcome. Overall, a great place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend Café Mocha and will definitely be returning!Bogdan

What a fab way for us to start the New Year than having one of our favourite dishes (roast duck in plum sauce) from one of our favourite Chinese restaurants, and it's still the same quantity, quality and taste 😋 well done, keep up the great work 👍

Exactly on the 7th of January 2025, at approximately 6-7 pm me and my wife decided to grab a bite after a long day's work. The service that we got at the take-out was only obnoxious. The brunette lady at the counter seemed to have a problem with accepting Eastern European and American accents so if you're not within the deemed acceptable clientele - stay away. Even more so - there was a difference between serving us as opposed to the other customers, perhaps also attributed to the melanin I have? Either way if youre a Yank or European or any other nationality for that matter - I'd not recommend the very unfriendliness we experienced. The fish itself was not too bad, but we've had better ones - the atmosphere encountered spoiled the taste.

Superb service from Debbie in Reception on our last stay here in January 2025. Very comfortable, well-equipped and intelligently laid out room as usual. Unfortunate that supply issues restricted the choice of breakfast items, especially for the Continental option.

The building was lovely and our room very nice and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and polite. We did have a few issues. Room service was poor. 1 coat hanger, 1 small bottle of shower gel. We asked for more, and got shampoo not shower gel. Bathroom bin not emptied over 3 nights. Dirty towels were put in the bath for replacement as notice adviced, but were rehung on the towel rail. Hand towels removed and not replaced. On initial arrival, it was 5⁰. The window was open, and the radiators off. The room was freezing In the restaurant, we were the only 2 left eating at 7pm one evening. 3 staff members came in and started noisily clearing all the tables and resetting for breakfast. We ordered a bottle of wine which was dumped on our table with the top still on. Staff on several occasions were hanging around bored, having indiscreet conversations in front of us. I could go on, but the main problem seemed to be young inexperienced staff, not trained or managed. This was a shame, as although they were friendly, the poor service spoilt our trip. It is not easy to find the long stay car park, so here is the post code Boat Quay Car Park PE30 5AB. I suggest reception offer this to residents as they check in

Popped in for a quick pint with my family today, including our dog - who was very welcome. Local doggy patrons photos on the wall! Beautiful place in a lovely village. Decor was great, service and other customers very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere. Had a crisp pint and ordered two pizzas from the pizza van, also owned by them rather than a residency. All four of us agreed, possibly the nicest pizza we’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of pizza in my 37 years but these were something else and incredibly well priced. The pint was fresh and crisp - just what we were after. Can’t wait to go back before the end of our holiday. I suspect this place will be very hard to book or get in to out of season as well as in season soon enough!
