The best restaurants in Mid Suffolk East of England

Great people and great food would recommend anyone that is the area to try as it’s very nice and well priced as fish and chips go

Always a pleasure staff always very welcoming and friendly and chatty food is always cooked fresh when we arrive decent portion size and prices are good

Lovely fresh pub, recently renovated I’d say, sadly no food was available, but if you want a drink in a beautiful environment, this is the place. Great frontage, plenty of outdoor furniture and a superb place to catch the afternoon sun and watch the world go by.

We ordered two combo meals which was a really good deal! We got wagu burgers, nacho cheese fries and buffalo wings which we paired with strawberry cheesecake milkshakes. The wagu burgers we okay but just tastes like a standard burger to be honest, the wings were delicious came with chillis and a nice spicy sauce. The nacho fries came coated in cheese and didn’t skimp out on flavour ! All together it was a great meal but I would have liked to spend a little less on it as some of the items were really pricey if you what extra bits, but all together a nice change!

Stopped on our way home, and even though food was just finishing, they still took us in and cooked roast dinners for us all. The food was absolutely amazing too! Generous portions and really tasty, one of the best roasts I've had in a restaurant.

I'm not usually one for reviews but after seeing some of the negative reviews, I feel I need to leap to the oakmere's defense. I have stayed here quite a few times now as my head office is close by to the hotel this is pound for pound a superb hotel, the staff are always friendly the food is always great and the rooms are exceptional, the negative reviews are a bit odd. Perhaps they were expecting the Ritz or Savoy?? if you want warm comfy rooms with a very nice restaurant for sub £130 then you wont get better and I travel a lot, i have paid this much for a premier Inn before and that doesn't get you much!

I very pleasant local pub, friendly staff. The Christmas lunch was excellent.

Queuing in a line for a beer in weatherspoons and having to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get served isn't a weatherspoons on a Sunday when your after a drink and something to eat think I'll be give this a miss the next time I visit

Good coffee, but all the chairs have cloth upholstery rather than wipe clean and are disgustingly dirty. They must not have been changed or properly cleaned since this place first opened!

A couple of years ago we found the food a little bland, but recently we've always had very tasty meals, and our order had always been prepared well and to time.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable pub with great food and an awesome atmosphere. I nice little find that I’ll definitely be visiting again.

We go here every couple of weeks and love it. Today we walked in and the staff were dancing smiling as they greeted us, great welcome. The food is awesome I always have jacket potato with chilli and double cheese the chilli is the best I've tasted to the point where the chef kindly let me have the recipe. My hubby had the bacon and brie panini which he loved. I really do recommend it 10 out of 10

Lovely meal, and service, great little village pub we all had an excellent meals, burger was great and with 4 real ales on tap definitely worth a visit
