Awful service. The girl who served us (brunette) had an attitude the moment we walked in. She was unfriendly and everything seemed like a chore for her. For such a small restaurant, that wasn’t particularly busy, it took forever for her to take our order. Other tables also took a long time to be served. She got the order wrong. Instead of apologising she had an attitude about it. We said we’d just take the order anyway regardless. I asked for another beer which never came. Instead I got the bill and left. I expected better and I won’t be returning despite loving Japanese food and living 10 mins away.

We held a belated Xmas work do at The Kite. The staff were really helpful and responsive during the arrangements. On the night the room looked lovely and the service was brilliant. Thank you to the team!

Today was my first visit to Lussmans. I was dining with my 88 year old bestie for her birthday and had advised the restaurant in advance that she has some sight and mobility issues (and also that she'd love a birthday fuss!). They could not have been kinder and friendlier; she was genuinely touched. The food was also delicious and good value for money. Prices are what they are these days, and I think I'm often a bit disappointed with how good things actually taste vs what they cost, but both my friend and I really enjoyed each of our 3 courses (one on the set menu, one a la carte) and didn't begrudge the bill at all. I look forward to returning with other friends and family. Thank you.

Really enjoyable food, fresh ingredients and served really well. Service initially was good yet many missed opportunities to make additional sales from us. We asked many times for extra drinks and told yes-yes we come to you, nobody did. Anyway, like I said, the food was great.

The ambiance and quirkiness was wonderful and the cakes we had where good but oh the coffee. I ordered a cafetiere for one and was actually gobsmacked to see the server pour coffee from the filter machine into the cafetiere, the coffee had obviously been standing for some time judging by the taste. My wife did not believe me, so I attempted to find coffee grounds in the bottom of the cafetiere. Will not be visiting again.

Although very busy the service was quick and friendly . The food was and fresh perfectly cooked excellent for brunch. Coffee was the best ever!

Such a lovely owner and an amazing smoothie, she really took the time to make sure it was right and had so much pride in her products, my partner drank the smoothie in about 5 minutes it was so nice 😊

I hadn’t had chips from Murphy’s in ages so I thought I’d give it a go. I cycled home, opened the chips and realised I had been given reheated chips that had been clearly cooked much earlier in the evening. I was so hungry I thought I’d eat them anyway, but the taste wasn’t good at all. They had clearly been cooked in dirty oil. Please use clean oil!!

A fascinating evening in the coolest place around. Live music, people having fun...it's been too long.

I discovered this place while visiting some friends that live in Hitchin. We wanted ice cream and found this nice little place. Tables and chairs in the front reminded us of our hometown cafe terrazas in Spain. The gelato was really good, and best of all, all the flavours they had at the time were gluten free! 100% recommend this place and I will be coming back next time I'm in Hitchin.

Without doubt this is the best traditional greasy spoon I've found in Hitchin - a really good generous portion of cooked to order breakfast for just £3.50, superb value.

We were here to celebrate grandson's birthday dinner. Restaurant is located on ground floor with wheel access and has own free car park at rear end. Nice road view if you are seated near window. Decor is good with nice seating area. Fully loaded bar. We had hot sake. Udon Noodles are great. Veg/ Non veg Sushi is also great. Food is delivered by robot which is a attraction. In fact robot delivered birthday cake singing Happy birthday song. It was amazing. Better to reserve table for dinner to avoid disappointment.
