The best restaurants in North Norfolk East of England

Very nice pub. The staff were friendly and the food was great. We only had a snack as it was lunch, but the quality was easy to see.

A very disappointing meal. Long wait after ordering and poor quality of food. One other customer walked out leaving food on the table. Had high hopes that this would be a good experience so was sorry that we wasted an evening. We will not be back.

Visited recently, adequate menu, order food at the bar. We had Scampi & Chips, prawn salad with chips and Pizza. Nice food served fairly quickly and the young staff were very friendly and efficient. We will revisit when in the area.

The atmosphere was friendly, the service was great, the food was yummy, and lots of it, people around us were clearly regulars ("Yes, we usually come about twice a week", and it really wasn't expensive. That was Wednesday; we're going back tomorrow (Monday), and it takes us a good hour and a half to get there by bus. What more can I say?! (We're retired – I can recommend that, too!)

This was one of our favourite quirky finds when on holiday last year. Choose your own donuts...yes please! No arguments from the kids as they can choose their own. Lovely, entrepreneurial family run business. It was highly recommended to us by the Hotel we stayed at - i can see why! We will be back when we csn visit the area again.

Really lovely staff and a great setting but the menu for hot meals is very limited. There are four main course choices, a buger, a chicken butger, pie and fish and chips. Other than that, the hot choices are breakfasts. I had the fish and chips, which was tasty but the fish was very small. My friend had the vegan breakfast even though she isn't vegetarian and really enjoyed it. I would go back for coffee and cake/snacks etc but not really for lunch.

Great selection of fresh meat, outstanding service & fantastic range of product. Ordered a baguette through their Snappy Shopper app today, quick delivery & delicious! Highly recommend.

Very disappointed. Unfortunately the Red Lion has gone down hill in the last few months. Not a great choice on the menu especially if you are not keen on burgers. The portions were small and you had to order fries as extras which made it quite expensive. Will not returning anytime soon if the menu remains the same. Such a shame.

This place is the kind of gem where you’d be kicking yourself if you found it on the last day of your holiday: we stumbled across it at the beginning, fortunately, which meant we could come back more than once! Their full breakfasts are wonderful, and the veggie options are good too. Everything is cooked fresh to order but nevertheless the service is snappy. It’s properly dog-friendly and the staff are all great.

Popped in for ice cream. Sundaes were great but ordered 99s and was charged 40p extra (each) just for sauce which left a bad taste. I felt really sorry for the young girls working there as it’s obviously not their decision. Clearly the owners keen to squeeze as much out of customers as possible.

A really fantastic little stall that long established & sells the freshest seafood ever! The crab sandwiches & the mussels that we bought were absolutely delicious. So nice to see that these local, traditional stalls still exist at seaside towns.

The first thing that struck us at Ali’s was that, no matter how busy the members of staff were, they always acknowledged and greeted every person who came through the door. So unusual nowadays, but much appreciated. Great find, a short walk from the coast path, serving tourists and locals alike. Cafe and shop, food delicious and fresh. Great coffee.

Good food and nice coffee good for groceries and milk if you’re running out. Very usefully close to the village. Almost everything you need eg bread and milk 🥛

Fish fresh cooked to perfection chips lovely staff very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Hope to go again before we leave
