We want to thank Paul, Karen, and the whole team for making our Christmas so special. From the first moment of our enquiry they were absolutely fantastic in accommodating us, and the couple of changes we had to make. Nothing was too much trouble, they so obviously cared about getting it right for us. The menu for Christmas Day lunch was fabulous with a great choice for all. The setting was perfect, service and customer care impeccable and the food - wow the food, seriously gorgeous. It was the best beef wellington I have EVER had, and everyone in our group praised the quality of their meals too. It was the first time we have had Christmas dinner out, and we are so glad we chose The Cross Keys. We will definitely be eating there again. Good fish and chips. Not greasy, nicely crispy, fresh, decent portions. A small wait for them, which is fair. We ate in which was okay. We had to ask for a table to be wiped which was done, but very poorly so we tried to sort it ourselves with napkins. Just needed more attentive service there as it was easily possible to clean it sooner and better. Would return though.

I had booked for dinner a little while ago as a surprise for my wife’s 70th birthday and was already to go out last night. Imagine my shock when casually browsing through their website, it said that they were temporarily closed! I had received no text, email or telephone call to notify me that the booking had been cancelled and at very short notice had to find another restaurant. Luckily I managed to get a table at Sculford Mill where we enjoyed a really delicious meal and the service was friendly and exemplary unlike the Barsham Arms.
