The best restaurants in Town Close Norwich East of England

We tripled the number of customers when we went in. No ales were on. Chap was accommodating at the bar.

The food was good , the staff and service I couldn't fault , the ambience and decor of the restaurant is lovely , the toilets were clean and fresh , there is a good size carpark with a few more spaces to the rear of the building , I would say the price is a little bit more than I would like to pay but it seems everywhere else is similar in price nowadays , I will have more meals here as overall it was a good venture out 👍👍👍

Lovely place for dinner and drinks with friends or family or love ones or lovers.. Reasonable prices for good food well cooked.

The restaurant itself is located within a very large conservatory with modern seating and all very pleasant; again no music so the atmosphere with just 2 or 3 people in was a little on the flat side! Meal came in good order and was okay, nothing overly fancy and all hot so no complaints. Staff friendly and efficient.

We visited this venue for our works Christmas party. We were in the Marquee and it was freezing. Food was cold and the whole experience was terrible. Definitely would never return.

Nice ok city outskirts pub. Good for local pub but would i walk from city centre nor.ally to go here? Probably not.

Food- The pizzas are average when compared to the actual standards. Service- They are reasonably good in terms of their service. The atmosphere is not welcoming as it’s not a dining restaurant and they only deal with delivery and take away orders. Hygiene- I found the place to be bit unhygienic. There was plenty of dirt and waste underneath the main oven and it looks like it’s not been cleaned for ages. I feel the team should give more importance to hygiene when it comes to food because it ultimately affects the people’s health. Update - December 2024 I ordered a large pizza and two sides from the Pizza Hut on Grove Road with an estimated delivery time between 19:08 and 19:28. The delivery never arrived within the promised timeframe, and when I tried to contact the store, no one bothered to answer the phone despite multiple attempts. I was forced to visit the store in person to find out what was going on. When I arrived, I was told the delay was due to “high demand”—a laughable excuse considering the staff was standing around, joking, and clearly not taking their work seriously. They didn’t bother to apologize for the delay, and the phone was ringing non-stop in the background, completely ignored. This location is consistently terrible when it comes to delivery service. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and the store’s hygiene standards are appalling. I will never order from Pizza Hut again and strongly advise others to avoid this place at all costs.

Nice traditional pub atmosphere - good 3 course Christmas meal - nice well kept guest ales. Food prices excellent - beer pricey. But that's to be expected in a pub these days. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Unfortunately this is the third time I been and food is worse and worse Beef curry cold and full of onions so onion curry and chips burnt and cold in side hot on outside

Really disappointing experience. Have been before and usually fine. Staff polite but clearly overstretched that evening . I was told 25 minutes over the phone but after having taken the money at the shop I was then told no one knew how long the food would be…! Problem is I can accept a delay on a hot summer Saturday but a simple dish of prawn fried rice tasted like a cobbled together collection of burnt leftover scrapings ..inedible . Sorry not coming back

Soya Cappuccinos were foul. Once we'd spooned off the froth we were left with strong and very bitter coffee, full of dregs. It was so bad, we didn't even finish it.

Good was meh. Delivery excellent.

Only ordered hot drinks and server (Tilly) was very friendly. Took a while for drinks to be prepared. Lots of staff making drinks so no need for delay Atmosphere good

Do not use this Take away. Very poor.... Wrong order completely, and 10 minutes late after the revised time. Original time 13.20 - 13.30, revised time 13.25 - 13.35. Actual time of receipt 13.45. Phoned the Norwich Grove Rd store to tell them the order was wrong, explained that we had 3 pizzas which were all wrong and that 2 of them were supposed to have meat. Person I spoke to pretended not to understand initially and then said that he'd cooked it himself and that there was meat and that I wouldn't be able to see it as it's hidden under the cheese!! Pictures of the wrong pizzas (you can clearly see no meat !!) and my daughters plate with veg removed. Have been using for years but gone downhill and will never use again.
