The best restaurants in Central Peterborough East of England

I visit this restaurant occasionally, mainly because the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food isn’t the best—it’s just average and could use some improvement. However, the warm and attentive service makes up for it, creating a pleasant dining experience overall. It’s a decent spot if you value good service over top-quality food.

First time back in this lovely Pizza House in many years. Had first Pizza here back circa 1978 when opened by John and David Iacono ! It was excellent then with its rough plastered walls and hanging bottles and has remained excellent since . Nice to know Rinaldo is still ok and has kept ownership for many, many years now and kept up the standard even expanding the restaurant since our last visit. John the chef there for many years helped us roll back the years reminiscing of past times including those present and those passed. Nice clean restaurant, piping hot tasty food , clean toilets all added to the happy experience of eating here again . Must also say that Frank and his obvious love of Tom Jones music was a delight as was the warmth and friendliness of Lorenzo . Well done to all we were really made to feel welcome and will be returning asap ! No need to “ shake your bananas on the A1” here! In the words of the infamous Spanish /Italian. Thank you to all 👍

Paranta are home made style not frozen they are made very nice.

Friendly quick service, great choice of dishes, delicious food, good value - what more could you ask for?

Ordered on Uber Eats at 20:40, didn’t arrive until 22:10. After calling the restaurant at 21:40, we were told they were waiting for their driver. Judging by the other reviews, delivery is a massive issue for them - the solution is simple, employ more drivers and stop being cheap. The dessert was average not worth £18 for a crepe and Matilda Cake.

Service was good, but only two tables and three members of staff. Pasta meals cooked and prepare fresh in less than 5 minutes, more likely supermarket finest microwave meal. Garlic bread was nice.

Lovely old hotel which has been recently partially refurbished including some rooms and bar area. Parking free onsite, just take ticket and register your car reg at reception. Quick check in and room was newly decorated- colours a little bright but all fresh. Lovely bathroom again all fresh, bath and over bath shower . Toiletries supplied and refreshed , towels fluffy and even flannels supplied . Comfy bed although a little firm for me. Dressing table area , built in wardrobe and small tea/coffee area with kettle, 2 arm chairs in room. We had three course evening meal included In our Travelzoo deal and I can’t rate this highly enough. Pleasant staff who took our order, amazingly flavourful soups followed by vegetarian wellington and a turkey roulade , these were all served piping hot. Nice range of desserts on offer too. In fact the food was so good we also had a meal at the bar the next night too. The portions are large and food extremely good quality. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a served buffet as well as continental on Sunday it was cooked to order. This hotel is lateral across the road from Queensgate shopping centre as along the road is the other shopping areas. The hotel was quiet there were plenty of staff and who were efficient and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

I am new here, I ate chicken grilled and chips. Food taste is well. But their service & atmosphere is. not good in my view. But price is not high

Otro increíble almuerzo de domingo en AW. Nos dieron 3 menús para elegir ... . Especiales, Navidad y Normal menú completo. Elegí pastel de pollo y puerro para variar. Era enorme, lleno de pollo, suculento y sabroso. Nunca hay escasez de salsa al visitar el AW. El joven equipo de servicio es brillante; rápido, amable y lo más importante eficiente. La comida es la mejor comida casera - estilo pub que jamás comerás y obtienes una buena porción por tu dinero. Pruébalo, no te decepcionará.
