The best restaurants in Leigh Southend-on-Sea East of England

10 of us visited for dinner last week. Holly our waitress was fantastic - she couldn’t have done anymore to make us all feel welcome and cater to everyone’s requests - thank you!! The food was also great, the pizzas are delicious and we’d all highly recommend the pistachio tiramisu! We will be back!

I didn't eat when I visited, as I tend to pop in for a few drinks mid afternoon when I get a chance, but the food being served to other people looks absolutely amazing. I will have to dine here soon. The owners are friendly and welcoming and I already feel after only a few visits that I'm part of the ThamesBreeze family. Edit (Dec '23): I've now eaten here and visited a lot more regularly. The food is fabulous, and the staff and atmosphere is excellent every time. And they *really* know how to do Christmas (see pic) Update (Dec '24): Has become a second home! Food is still wonderful, Christmas this year is even brighter and better. And I've been to a couple of really good karaoke afternoons on special occasions.

This is a working mans Café, came here for brunch and had one of the numerous breakfast options, food was good, coffee was better, and the price was reasonable would recommend for a no frills hearty breakfast

I really enjoyed the food, and it compares with any top Turkish place in London, but what I like the most is the friendly staff. Must come more often!

This is honestly the best restaurant we've been to in years! The food was delicious with very generous serving of gravy and beans for a more than reasonable price! Our server (a lady with dyed hair and possibly in her 20s) was super kind and went beyond her job giving us other vegan recommendations and was so lovely to talk to. Only wish we lived close so we could visit here more often! Wouldn't mind if the prices were higher as it is so good!

maybe i just got a bad experience here but the servers are incredibly rude…I heard this previously from a friend that its not good service but went anyways thinking perhaps it was a one-off but received the same service, all the staff just have a really poor attitude, food and drinks were decent just there is alot of room for improvement regarding the service. hopefully this can change because it has alot of potential!

This is a great little spot for breakfast or lunch. The cafe staff are so friendly and the food is fabulous. There are a range of dishes including brunch, breakfast, burgers and much more. There are also a range of specials on the boards I enjoyed the bacon, mushroom, spinach and poached egg on sourdough and it was delicious. I would definitely come back again!

We've been coming here for years so already know how good the food is and how friendly the staff are. I just wanted to mention how particularly good the food was today, especially the chili which was the best I've ever had.. Love this place

I have been to stop the world before and had a good experience however I was disappointed with my experience today, me and my partner came in for brunch it was busy but no busier than usual, I ordered a smoothie which I was disappointed with as it was warm when I got it so not very enjoyable and then we waited an hour for our food to come, which I just think is way too long especially for breakfast and we only ordered scrambled egg on toast and avacado on toast, didn’t get an apology for our wait or anything really so didn’t have the best experience

Great surroundings,good service and food was fresh and well presented. Didn't rush you , lovely recommend you give it a try .

Fantastic food real value for money ! Excellent , friendly staff nothing was too much trouble definitely recommend it to all ages there’s something for everyone there as the menu caters for all and the wine list at realistic prices
