An exceptional roast in stunning surroundings at incredible value for money with spot on service. I think that’s all the elements covered. This was a faultless experience had by myself and my partner. The roast was absolutely gorgeous, we both had the celeriac wellington. Packed full of flavour and served pipping hot, 10/10 roast potatoes, then a huge selection of vegetables, extra gravy and stuffing. Complimentary sparkling water, linen napkins, sea salt and pepper grinders ( because they DO make the difference between good and great) in a buzzy atmosphere. Here’s the best bit…. £16. Yup, that’s no typo, This is without doubt, bang for buck the best value roast in or around Bury. I didn’t actually want to write this review as I wanted to keep this a hidden secret but the team have worked so hard to make this place work (it hasn’t for decades now) it would be rude not too. So enjoy….. I’d probably book

Fantastic place! My new favourite... lovely food, consistently good and something slightly different. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and everyone just seems good looking..... The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and the hostess with the two different trainers was great. The staff really enjoy working at this place and say their boss is great! I am off to the Christmas faire this weekend.... taking mother to my new found oasis...

As always the staff were helpful and polite. However, we were not happy about the air conditioning being put on in October and as we were sitting almost directly underneath an air vent, it became very uncomfortable and chilly sitting there. This spoilt the experience somewhat. I ordered the salmon muffin for lunch which was on a 'toasted' muffin. Sadly, the muffin was rather soft and didn't taste toasted at all. Otherwise an agreeable place to eat.

Multiple visits, usually very pleased with the dining experience. This time, not so much. Service was fine, the Bone Dry Riesling was excellent, although heavy mark up. I must say the small plates were pretty, well presented but over priced. Tinned anchovies £10 for 4, you can buy a whole tin for £7. If the description included the term “tinned” I wouldn’t have ordered them. The biggest disappointment was the Quail, beautifully presented but terrible texture and cold. The waitress did ask me what was the issue with the dish, I told her, but that was the end of that. £135 for a selection of cold dishes, apart from the chips which were nuclear. Shame really, won’t be returning anytime soon. Initially a “quirky” dining experience however once you become a regular it seems to lose its appeal.

Love this small part of Greece in Bury st Edmunds, great food (and Greek coffee and baklava), drinks (including the best espresso martinis), ambience, deli and service (friendly and attentive). Takes me back to the Sporades Islands and the pine covered island of Skopelos. Would highly recommend this little independent restaurant xx

Made a booking on Saturday 4 th Jan 2025 for sun 5th at 6.45pm, which was to eat after a trip to cinema. They rang me to confirm and let ke know I'd need to order by 7.30pm, that wasn't a problem. Then on the Sunday at 17.45 i got a text, when I was in the cinema, saying the restaurant will be closing at 7.50pm and the restaurant closing at 7pm so could I come at 6.30pm. Impossible as film hadn't finished. So I came out of cinema and had to then find somewhere to eat. I won't be booking again!

Came for a family gathering and found the venue very convenient - and we stayed overnight after the event so this was even better. We were able to bring in food for the event and there was a good space available for meeting, chatting with drinks and sitting to eat the sandwiches and cakes. Staff were very friendly and the drinks were well kept and served by friendly staff. A good evening. The rooms are small but well-appointed and although no breakfast is served they frovide an inclusive breakfast pack with cereal, juice and snacks. Rooms seem newly built as an annex and have good facilities - double bed in our room was firm enoough - large TV and good shower in the en-suite.
