The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

A regular purchaser. Never had many issues that a worthwhile complaing regarding the pizza. One main issue is delivery time. Over an hour on a few occasions. When calling the same reply it's on its way, no apology. Wouldn't put anyone off overall the pizzas are lovely.!

After choosing Chinese for our movie night. We went to mayflower. Partner ordered off the set menu (A) I ordered crispy chilli beef and beef chow mein. Beef chow mein was very under cooked had to phone to ask for new one to be delivered disrupting our dinner together. Rice from set menu was hard and definitely not cooked enough. Partner then after a couple hours started suffering from very bad food poisoning. I'm guessing due to the chow mein. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Disappointing to say the least. Order arrived not even close to warm. The curry is so watery a puddle of water has formed in the corner of the plate. Won’t be using this place again.

Wow, the food here is exquisite. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. The fish were enormous and cooked to perfection and the chips were perfect. Highly recommended.

Over charged us at the door, 10 over what was quoted on the phone?? Rang up to complain and all they kept saying was the told us the right price. No true at all. Complete joke. Update: food sucks lmao Go sun tong instead!

I had received a delivery from you guys the order was here within 25 mins the order came with RAW CHICKEN IN MY CHOW MEIN THE EGG FRIED RICE WAS OJVERCOOKED AND WAS HARD RICE AND THE CHICKEN BALLS WERE ACTUALLY PINK RAW IN THE MIDDLE I TRIED TO CALL BUT NO ANSWER FAIRLY DISGUSTED RUINED A MEAL AND I WILL BE GETTING A FULL REDUND IMMEDIATELY TODAY

Total crap rice cold and prawn balls like bullets prawn crackers where soft

Ordered one Chocolate Fudge Brownie Frappé Mocha and one Salted Caramel Frappé. What I got was two Fudge and I am not sure if both are coffee or one is without. Got from them twice before and those orders were fine. So I'm not sure what happened.

Lovely place to grab a bit to eat and have a coffee. Service was brilliant. Freya and Lucy were great and were really attentive. As someone will allergies they were great!

Use this place a few times now and also use the click and collect option but now you getting the just eat drivers uses the parking places for the clack and collect people plus others just leaving their cars there to guess the manager won't do anything about it They have redone the numbers for the click and collect but the just eat etc drivers say they can use them to so click and collect must mean just park your car there and go inside to get orders and this was on 4th may 2024 Wish the manager of this store makes it clear if it's click and collect parking spots or help yourself to a numbered spot but it also seems they don't read the reviews to And after nearly a year from leaving a review about how the delivery drivers park in click and serve parking spot nothing has changed expect nice new numbers in the parking bays and it very clear the manager doesn't care or look at the reviews shame as the staff seem fine

for me this is the most perfect of pubs with cosy as hell rooms at the most north-eastern tip of essex ... the ominous looming marine industry on every horizon just adds to a great atmosphere my long weekend consisted of: food, drink, bed, food, bracing walk, food, drink, food, drink, bed, food, bracing walk, food, drink ... the host has imposed his immense(!) character on every aspect of the place & all the staff are effortlessly friendly ... even my en suite bathroom was too cosy to want to leave it ... essentially, can't get enough of this place! did i mention the food ...?
