The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

Staying as a family in Naze Marine caravan park as we have done over the years, we thought we would order a Chinese as a treat. Dropped in earlier for a menu when passing and called up to order that evening. Ordered £52 of food and went to collect. On arrival told cash only. Got the food home and it didn’t taste good. Prawn balls were large and tough but inside tiny prawns. Funny taste to chow mein’s. All in all big disappointment. Even the chips weren’t nice and it is also a fish and chip shop!

I came down during a hot, sunny, August mid afternoon - fairly busy with people…. CLOSED at 2.45pm !!!. Very surprised, given that ‘busy’ isn’t probably always the case in Harwich, given that a lot of closed and empty shop units nearby. Disappointed. As a vegan, I was looking forward to trying their vegan café and was visiting from Colchester. My schedule means that I probably won’t get to visit again , as I can’t get there during their restricted opening hours. To be closed during normal business hours when lots of tourist trade is losing money and customers. This looks a lovely shop - hopefully they sell online too, as they’re missing footfall/sales in high tourist season.
