The best restaurants in West Thurrock and South Stifford Thurrock East of England

Visiting the area and found the fleet. It was just closing (a Sunday) but was very accommodating. Lovely, chatty barmaid. Will definitely visit when in area again. But check timings.

Popped in for some lunch on way to weekend away and will not be returning. Clearly a 'local' as all knew each other which was nice. Took a table and a menu then ordered at the bar. Bar lady was very friendly and helpful, and we paid and waited for food. I ordered the macaroni cheese (was asked if I wanted garlic bread, and said yes, even though it was supposed to come with it), my partner ordered the veggie burger. The macaroni cheese was pasta in a yellow soup; a massive bowl of cooked pasta in a wet sauce that barely clung to the pasta - I ate some, and the garlic bread which was nice at least. My partner looked at the double burger (only expected one 'patty') and it looked very dry. He took one bite, and immediately spat it out - was basically cork-like in consistency, when it was supposed to be a 'Beyond Meat' burger, which I am reliable informed are never dry. The fries were very good though! He also asked for ketchup - there was none in the whole pub, so ate some fries and mayo, I ate some cheesy-flavoured soup, and we left quickly. We didn't say anything to the staff as we were quite intimidated by the locals all crowded around the bar and didn't want any trouble. I did see on the way out that on Friday's burgers are supposed to be £5.50, but I assume they added the extra patty, and then the garlic bread to my mac n cheese that should have already come with it as the food came to over £17.

Whenever I fancy a decent breakfast to perk me up, I always pop along to the Magno for a fry up. Don't be put off by the 3 star Food Standards Agency hygiene rating - this place is a real gem. Quality food, proper sausages and extremely good value for money. Proper cafes are few and far between but this is my favourite.

Very relaxed staff attentive, food fresh and hot, all meals show calories content, definitely worth a visit for a breakfast.

First time very disappointed after 2 years. It has been a drastic bad experience: we had 4 pork yerros, and I have incredibly noticed that there was no meat at all in all 4 yerros! I have explained that to the worker and she was sorry about it and understand the situation. I understand it's not workers fault, but it's not fair paying 45 pounds and get only fat!. We couldn't have dinner unfortunately as we were very frustrated and me and family just got very disappointed and left without being able to eat. We will certainly not going to visit this place again.

Food was absolutely delicious but the service we received was even better than the food! Thank you David for going above and beyond to make our visit absolutely amazing. We really appreciate it!

Been working on a 6 month project so have been visiting the same Pret daily in Brentwood. Staff are always amazing and the barista makes the best coffees each mornings. I told him personally The food is of a very high quality and always gets me through the day. All in all, I nice, friendly place to grab a bite to eat and a coffee!

The worst experience I’ve ever had in my 43 years. Came in here for my sons 10th birthday and we wasn’t even welcomed and when we asked to be seated away from the door the manger rudely said “we can’t sit here because kids just make mess and we don’t want these kids sitting here” and when they finally brought out the food which taken a hour and a half! The French fries was stone cold and instead of them bringing out Margarita pizza they bought out garlic pizza instead I got up and made a complaint about this to the manger and he said that “it’s not my fault brother you are just going to have to eat it anyway” which is very unacceptable and when it came to the bill not even one apology NEVER EVER COMING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! I hope this will become a better place in the late years

Wow, just wow. What a nice place to spend your evenings. Amazing food, great atmosphere, nice design, a great shisha and none the less, a great alcohol free wine. Highly recommended for a business meeting or a day out with your family.

Served by a very friendly waitress Ola, but sadly the service was poor, the food wasn't that hot when it arrived, the desert menu wasn't fully available, the three things we chose, they had run out of so was offered to order from 4 other items. The length of time between each course was over 40 mins and the very few diners in their at the time we were eating had finished their meals and gone, which left us, a party of 6 and possibly two other tables, which didn't explain the length of time waiting. Sadly won't be returning their. Had a much better experience in the one which used to be the Dick Turpin pub.

Just been to GBK amazing survice by henry, With some changes we made adding and taking away from the menu he got it spot on. Easy to talk to and had great service from him Hopefully feedback will get back to you keep it up 😁 x
