The best restaurants in Thurrock East of England

Had a family birthday meal here and the food was wonderful and so were the staff. Beautiful restaurant and would definitely recommend.

What an unexpected pleasure ! Wonderful friendly staff , the pub itself is so original and you can feel the history , see the history, fabulous, and then walk off the wonderful food along the sea wall and take in the marvel of tilbury fort Worth the visits ? Food is beautiful and the new owners are so welcoming and helpful. I really do recommend this. We have done takeaway, but will definitely eat in when we get a chance as such a nice and fun atmosphere.

If you want good food, a good atmosphere, and to be treated like a customer, then get in the car and go somewhere else. This place is a throwback from the 70’s, with rude staff, poor facilitates, and dated look altogether. The only people that ever go here are the “natives”, and that’s because fly never strays too far from the turd

I went here today post COVID. It was busy as they are participating in the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme in August 2020. The souvlaki was up to standard - I had the chicken in a wrap with a few chips and salad. The waiting time was good compared to other restaurants in the Food Court. The thing that let it down was the lack of sanitisation of the tables. I sat for half an hour eating my food and not one member of staff came round to clear or wipe the tables. I did my table myself with my own tissue and sanitiser. I think they should be more particular especially in these times.

Service wasn’t too bad today although busy but why advertise Sunday roast if you’re going to sell out after 1.5 hours - you should plan better

Great restaurant, food fantastic. The manager did a drink and food deal for £40. He kept bring the food out. Great deal. Food was lovely. On the drink menu there were even cocktails. The house special was lovely. Highly recommend this place. Been 3 times now in the last 6 wks.,

I go into the costa at lakeside retail park bout 3times a week..all the staff are so friendly and kind..at all times..its my favourite coffee shop. Regards kathryn

Shocking. We come in and sit down. Ask the staff what the options are for gluten free. Get told that “yes we can do almost anything and have gluten free soy”. Half the party order whilst the gluten intolerant try to work out the menu (we were told there was an allergen button on the QR code menu). But no. No gluten free list on the app. Manager came over and said - “no, you were told wrong, we don’t have gluten free soy”. Ask how to find on the app and are told “have to open and look at allergen list for each in turn”. Manager also tells my wife that “there’s lots without gluten”. Well I beg to differ. Look at the menu. Hardly anything without gluten. Perhaps a salad and some edamame beans. That’s about it, Really NOT at all allergen friendly. And rather rude and dismissive treatment.

Food was atrocious. Arriving leaking out of the containers, naan bread wasn't tasty and a job to chew. Main dish was nothing I had ever tasted before and not in a good way. No flavour, meat like dog food. I will never ever order from this place again. Don't waste your money like I did.

Thank you for a delicious take away meal this evening. Hot crispy pancake roll packed with flavour, and very enjoyable special chow mein. Also thank you for staying open late.

Always order from here in evenings , great food , staff very friendly . Not sure what everyone is moaning about ? But our experience is great .

How is it acceptable or even possible that ikea are serving such low quality food with poor levels of customer service. This type of food reminded me of a primary school in a deprived area. Can't even say its low quality reflects the price because the price is way to high in comparison to the quality. Food was cold, dry considering it was supposed to be a hot meal. Only thing I enjoyed was the coffee only because it was hot!! Never ever again.

This ill-mannered waiter with glasses and darkish blonde hair, made a cappuccino instead of a mocha. He insisted that it’s a mocha, but how would he know unless he tasted it? He doesn’t know, only I would. He was rude, his tone was rude. Should know how to treat a customer and speak in a more respectful way. Put me off coming here! Is that how Caffè Nero treats its customers?? Customers are always right, get your staff trained on that please. Pinhead.
