The best restaurants in Watford East of England

Cheap sausages tasted awful and bready. Baguette was more bread than filling and they can’t fry eggs it was dry as a bone. Even the minimal amount of ketchup couldn’t make it edible.

Always a pleasure to grab a coffee and some lunch after a shop! Great customer service, friendly staff and very clean. Thank you

Wouldn’t order again from this restaurant. They lied about the delivery times on the app and still arrived well after the restaurant closed and was cold!

I cannot begin to tell you the issues I have had with this restaurant. The service was so slow. The food was awful. Some food was indelible and some didn’t even arrive to the table. The live music did not show up at all. I have been trying to get a response for 4 weeks to no avail. I would urge you not to book here. Still awaiting a call back and now their number is not working. Disappointed even doesn’t come close. Shame as the service from Julie up to the night I couldn’t fault.

Poor, 3 occasions. 3 bad experiences. Will not use again as if the service I experienced is a reflection of their food preparation and hygiene I can only assume that is as bad. Anyhow their loss and will still to the places I have used in the past and let them profit from my business. Well done

Stopped with a few friends after Parkrun for coffee and a croissant. Was promptly served the croissant but had to wait over 10 minutes for the coffee to be prepared. A member of staff told me to wait outside, which I declined as I was starting to feel cold. He then asked me again, this time aggressively and when I refused again he started to act in a threatening way. There must have been 10 other patrons waiting for their drinks so clearly there was a staffing issue. A senior member of staff then intervened and asked her colleague to leave and despite repeated requests he refused and continued to make his point towards me. She apologised profusely and offered me a free coffee should I return. May I ask if they wish to avoid queues building up inside their cafe, staff should be deployed to assist the baristas rather than chastising their paying guests. I have frequented this cafe many times and always had a positive experience, its deeply disappointing standards have dropped.

There's a lack of nice sandwich shops close to us so with this opening we thought our luck was in! Looks a lovely clean place and staff friendly but our order of three sandwiches seemed to throw them despite a empty shop the order was incorrect and items not available. I hope they sort the issues soon and I may retry

Mienamese offers a great variety of delicious Vietnamese food with a nice ambience. The price is on a higher side but felt reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

Buy half chicken grill meal they served me In 2 minutes time it’s was burnt on showing them they showed me another piece of chicken which was same condition and precooked with out folk and knife I have requested them to give me burger in another minute they gave me when opened it Petty was cold end up paying them 10 £ for chicken fillets burger meal

Best pub on St Albans road and the best beer garden in Watford. Really good beers, lovely staff, amazing food menu and loads of room inside and outside. Fully recommend!

Food was healthy enough but plain and a bit of a mish mash. The place was out of noodles but absurdly decided to not have any rice made which took an hour. Only one member of staff (polite lad with a cast on his arm) thought to compensate us with a starter. Got drinks wrong and got no warning from our server. Generally awful experience.

Good location 5 minutes drive from the tube station. No air conditioning in the rooms so gets uncomfortable when temperatures are hot outside. Hotel is rather tired now. Needs a refurb.
