I nice place to be and spend your free time

We had an outstanding Christmas lunch in the private room on the 2nd floor. The service was impeccable and the food excellent, they couldn't do enough for us.

Legendary spot for a few casual pints on Friday or Thursday night to celebrate a hard weeks work

The wait staff are very friendly and the service was quick. Wild Boar "Ragu" - Had no sauce and the pasta was inconsistently cooked. Maybe this was just a bad day for the chefs but with a kitchen door slamming shut every 2 minutes, any shred of salvaging the meal was ruined.

Notes Moorgate This whole experience was almost like a training exercise in how not to treat paying customers. We were a group of four and I would have been happy to complain very much more at the time but it was awkward to at the time. The booking was very poor. Phone calls failed to get a table was told to book online. Did so but got no response so repeated it a day later. Email then came back and confirmed. But we needn’t have bothered. Our reception was casual as if we were unexpected. Casual point to a free table. No reservation sign but then very few customers. This should have set bells ringing. Waitress seemed irritated when we weren’t ready to order. Our order was incomplete and we had to ask for confirmation of her memory. Of the three starting plates one arrived at the very end as we were almost about to pay. Nachos had been prepared and left in cooker/ grill. This was the high point. Nachos were baked soft. Cheese melted into nothing. Bowl was so it burnt the hand of our friend. There had been no warning. He had to go and run cold water on it in the bathroom and came back and kept it moist with a serviette. Oil and bread came with toasted pieces. Toasted probably meant it was stale but who knows. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. Yes we ate it and we had a 60 minute slot before the concert. But timing was not something we needed to worry about - we had a prompt to say kitchen was closing soon. The wine was very acceptable- so not all bad but then that wasn’t made or ruined by the delivery. Never been to one of these coffee shops before and probably - No definitely- never coming to one again.

One of the best independent coffee shops in London. High quality product with excellent baristas, would recommend highly if you are in the area.

Conseguí la envoltura frita del sur, contenía 2 trozos de tiras de pollo frito del sur, que me decepcionó mucho aunque eran muy tiernos y crujientes. La envoltura estaba tibia, la salsa de chile estaba bien. No tan grande como parecía en la imagen. En general, estuvo bien pero caro por el precio.

Siempre una buena relación, una buena selección de sándwiches y bocadillos saludables. Servicio rápido y amigable, perfecto para la vida en movimiento.

Most reviews here are way out of date. It is a useful refuge prior to a concert but has no food and limited anything. You are welcome to bring in purchases from the other outlets at Barbican.

The food is fair, but the customer service is miserable! I’ve been nice to staff every time I was in the store, but the single staff almost never greeted back, not even to mention offering bag or napkin! Very arrogant and even on the edge of discrimination! You might hate your job but customers have nothing to do with it! Please at least maintain the minimum level of dignity!

Great place for a quick drink and lunch. Service was quick, floor staff was friendy and efficient. Will be back to see the evening!!
