The best restaurants in St James's City of London, Westminster London

I took my mum here for her birthday and we loved it! The cakes are delicious - especially the ginger cake. Amazing for dietary requirements. I am gluten-free and my mum is gluten-free and dairy-free. We put our requirements on the booking and the tea lounge was really accommodating. Their sandwich bread was the best gluten free sandwich bread I've ever eaten! I would highly recommend - particularly for birthday treats.

Esta fue mi primera visita a Gelupo después de querer probar su helado por un tiempo. Cuando llegué, había una cola (esta era una tarde de día laborable) pero se movió bastante rápido. Fue difícil elegir, ya que tenían sabores tan inusuales e interesantes, pero al final opté por una cucharada de Ricotta & Pear y una de Caramelo y Pecan salado. También tomé chocolate caliente de avellanas. Las porciones de helado eran generosas y las dos cucharadas que tuve eran absolutamente deliciosos. Si tuviera que elegir uno, sería Ricotta & Pear. El servicio también fue muy bueno. Ambas cajeras eran amables a pesar de estar muy ocupadas y si no estabas seguro de qué sabor elegir, te permitieron tener una pequeña muestra. Por favor, ten en cuenta que si tienes un problema de movilidad como yo, hay asientos disponibles en el interior y tuve la suerte de conseguir una mesa, pero todavía diría que esto es más para llevar. En resumen, definitivamente volveré para probar los otros sabores interesantes en Gelupo.

Wow what service - went on a rainy afternoon and therefore received the best ever service. Sorry didn’t catch the name of the main server but his recommendations and knowledge was superb - at the end he said see you again soon to try x off the menu - what a touch. Decor is unreal as is location. This is fine dining so just bear that in mind when you get the bill. I really enjoyed the cuisine but I couldn’t say that for my partner who is new to Scandinavian food. I would recommend a visit for definite and thank you for the lovely touch for my birthday and the amuse bouche.

Came in just for some coffee and cake. The desserts are simple and really good. Service friendly and efficient. Would definitely come again if in the area.

Visited here with my sister. Previously I have always sat outside in the Summer but absolutely lived sitting inside on the stools watching the staff at work. Absolutely nothing went out until the chef had checked it. The service is friendly and efficient,your drinks constantly topped up and food is served when it's ready. We had the ham croquettes, pan con tomato, patatas bravas and seabream special, all delicious. My favourite place to go for lunch in London.

Came here for drinks on Saturday prior to going to the Savoy Grill. A very comfortable bar with friendly staff and a nice relaxed vibe. Decor is quite dark but it suits the bar, will definitely be back.

Nous avons entendu parler de l’établissement à travers les réseaux sociaux et croyez moi la popularité est tout à fait méritée ! Les cookies sont absolument délicieux, la texture est moelleuse et les parfums sont bien dosés. Nous avons essayé le peanuts butter, le praliné et le trois chocolats : ils sont à tomber par terre !! Cela vaut le détour si vous êtes de passage à Londres !

Superb service and fantastic cocktails! The staff is very attentive, super friendly, and knowledgeable. The Banana Rum old-fashioned (I don't remember the cool name it has) was incredible! It was really well thought out and supported a great local cause. I loved the cocktail list on the LP envelope—a great touch! Can't wait to be back!

Esta es la segunda vez que visito y de nuevo fue de primera clase. Mi hijo y yo tuvimos dos platos y algunas bebidas, la comida era deliciosa y Bill era muy razonable para Londres.

When searching for a restaurant for dinner upon arriving in London I found Scully. Sadly it was closed on Monday so we could not go but then we booked online for Wednesday night tasting menu. We were worried when a revised confirmation said it would be 2.5 hours vs 2 hours as we had tickets to a show that same night.. I messaged them and they said we could switch to a la carte and we would be out on time for our show. We arrived right at 5pm and were seated immediately. The inside is cozy and warm with an open kitchen where you can see all the chefs working. It was not busy this night so we had a very friendly and attentive server. The food was unique and flavourful and enjoyed by all. Our table had the corn bread, arepas, fish, cow pastrami, vegan rice & tofu plate and ended with a creme brûlée, variety of sorbets and a lovely gf/vegan cookie with zero waste banana sorbet. They even brought a nice sorbet with a candle for our son’s bday:) Great experience, wonderful food and friendly staff. A definite must try!

Booked this lovely cosy restaurant for an early supper after seeing it recommended on the Michelin App. We were not disappointed. Super friendly team with a special shoutout to Maddie. We chose scallops and the cured trout to start and shared a beef sirloin followed by chocolate cremeaux with cherries and the cheese plate. All we delicious. Good selection of wines. Thank you, we will be back!
