The best restaurants in St James's City of London, Westminster London

Lo que más nos gusta pedir son las patatas rebozadas, y recién salidas de la cocina son tan crujientes y cocinadas a la perfección. Toda la comida era brillante y el personal era realmente encantador e incluso me ayudó a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi pareja poniendo una vela en su postre! Excelente comida para una excelente relación calidad-precio. Sin duda volveremos en persona (y a través de Deliveroo😉)

*This review is specifically for the NYE 2024 experience* We wanted a nice dinner with a great view of the London fireworks, so we decided to give 8 at the Londoner a try. They offer two types of reservations, the curated experience and the al la carte option. Both options will cost you 400 £ per person. Their signature cocktails were good but not amazing for the prices. The al la carte menu is slightly different from the curated but has a great selection of food. The lobster tempura was nice and fluffy and tasted great. The different tacos, such as the shrimp and Wagyu, were all excellent. Service was a bit slow, but it was a full house. We did ask to have our phones charged, which our waiter said wasn't a problem. An hour later, I go to get our phones, and they have less battery than when we gave them to him. They never plugged them in. The aerver staff, however, were all quite friendly and helpful in explanations, so forth. The view was amazing for us (see picture and video). If that is the view you are looking for and want to enjoy fine dining, then this may be a place for you.

Located within the Conrad Hotel, it is close to St James Park Underground station, with good transport links. As you would expect, the location is beautiful. It is clean, exceptionally well presented with a quiet sophisticated atmosphere. You cannot in any way find fault with the service, our waiters were friendly, attentive and very well presented. You were in no way pressured to finish your meal, the pace of the service being near perfect. The afternoon tea was exceptional, being visually well presented and more than enough for two people. The sandwiches, the cakes and the scones were fresh and delicious. If you like your teas, the selection is astounding! Along with the bottle of Bollinger Champagne this made for a very enjoyable afternoon. Not the cheapest, but as a treat second to none. You have to try it just once.

Este fue un excelente almuerzo de domingo. El ambiente, el servicio y la decoración eran todos encantadores. La carne asada fue cocinada a la perfección y las patatas asadas eran excepcionales! Es una delicia cara, sin embargo, sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaría.

El Royal Automobile Club es mi club favorito en la calle. James's. Nueve de nosotros nos sentamos juntos para ponernos al día y disfrutar de una comida de primera clase juntos. La comida era perfecta y servida con una sonrisa amable. Relajarse en el bar después y disfrutar de algunas bebidas refrescantes y bien servidas terminó un día perfecto.

This is the second branch of Hobson's we've visited, the first being in Soho. In my opinion, this branch is much better. You can eat in or take away. The staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. There's an extensive menu, so there should be something to suit all dietary requirements. We didn't have to wait long for our food even though the restaurant was very busy. The portions were generous and it was piping hot. I had the gluten free fish and chips and thought is was delicious! It was exactly what you want from fish and chips. Crispy batter, perfectly cooked fresh fish, and chips that are slightly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. I recommend this chippy and I'd definitely eat here again!

Delicious orange lemonade and ham and cheese pediona (I’m probably misspelling it- but it was a lovely flat Italian bread). Affordable and a good pit stop.

So so disappointed in the lack of customer service of this company. We came from Canada and booked our tour months ago, which just so happened to have landed on the night before the queens funeral, boarding at Westminster Pier directly in front of the 4-mile queue for the viewing. Being foreigners, roads were closed off like crazy, and despite us leaving early, our bus took us a completely different route. We messaged the tour operator, and when we finally showed up one-minute past due (7:46pm), the crew member looked at us as he denied us entry, then proceeded to undock the boat, and then ignored us as he drifted away (photo attached with time stamp, 7:47pm). When we phoned customer service, they refused to refund us the $75-per-person or even reschedule our tour, but rather just offered us a 50% discount on our next booking. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m shocked that there was 1. No response to our message to the tour operator, and still nothing hours later 2. no grace period, even when the entire nation is

This bar felt odd and cold and we felt a little bit exposed on the top deck, whilst quite aware of the conversation of other patrons around us. Staff were friendly and attentive but we felt we had to move on to somewhere which felt more comfortable and cozy.

El yogur helado era agradable, aunque un poco caro, pero el verdadero placer era conseguir una pequeña mesa alrededor de la parte trasera del autobús para sentarse en un viernes bastante ocupado en Southbank. Esto puede sonar tonto, pero el yogur helado "original" es muy yogur (me gustó porque la hija de 12 años no estaba acostumbrada a ese sabor). Aunque a los dos nos gustó el sabor a cereza.

La comida era muy agradable y el personal servicial Y muy acogedor Para un pequeño café cerca del palacio y no cobrar por encima de las probabilidades realmente vale la pena una visita.

Personal amable. Los precios son razonables. La comida está bien. Valor suficiente para la zona. Los sándwiches a la hora del almuerzo se ven interesantes, así que probaré uno en algún momento.

Wow what a sad and stark contrast to the one in Liverpool st which I go to almost every day. None of the usual happy smiling staff for a start, no welcome no nothing just fixed stares and a very odd vibe.. Then the main event the food even that looked jaded and hard done by. Most of all the young girl who served me my small salad took great effort to make it super small and put about half a spoonful of each in the box where at Liverpool st you always get way more than that.. Maybe she had been told to do this who knows but I ended up with a half empty box where at Liverpool st it's always joyously full. I remarked on the contrast and was ignored until I pointed out i wasn't talking to myself and I got some mumble about a spoonful. (it really wasn't - so much so I asked for the same salad twice) I really don't know what's going on in this branch, maybe they're closing but going on this shenanigans it's Liverpool st all the way.
