We came to London for the day the weekend before Christmas. Walking up Whitehall we saw beautiful cakes.and croissants in the window of this stunning Italian themed cafe, even Father Christmas was waiting at the door. We wanted to savour the atmosphere and have a coffee before we started shopping. Between us, we only ordered 2 hot Drinks and 2 croissants. My cappuccino was ok, nothing special, my croissant was so dry it was quite tough to eat, likewise for my sons chocolate croissant, he couldn't finish it. My daughter could not finish her pumpkin spice latte and she couldn't make out much flovour to it anyway. Although the place was busy, it was a let down due to the quality and freshness of what should be so easy to get right, coffee and croissants. Staff were OK. We just expected more from such a lovely old Fashioned cafe.

What an atmosphere!! Floral Court was a feast to the eye. The food and wine was extremely good quality and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and polite. Alex and Valentina went out of their way to accommodate our preferences. They are an asset to that place. I myself and my daughter really enjoyed the evening.

She made excellent Margaritas.

My friend and I decide to pop in for lunch after visiting The Tate. We ordered the toasted sourdough aged Feta, sun-dried tomatoes and & Pesto and the free- range chicken breast, kimchi & mozzarella sandwiches. After ordering we were told that they'd run out of sun-dried tomatoes. My friend changed her order to the Wiltshire ham, mustard & mature cheddar. We sat down to enjoy a glass or merlot and waited for our order to arrive. Finally our order arrived... my friend found her sandwich consisted only of feta cheese and mine had changed from chicken breast to a sandwich which had only a slice of ham in it. We called the waitress over and explained that we hadn't got what we had ordered. She replied saying this was the chefs fault and that he didn't like being told what to do!!!!!! We asked if we could have what we ordered and asked her to return what we had got to the kitchen. It was clear that she didn't want to confront the chef. She gave a vague shrug and disappeared leaving our sandwiches on the table in front of us! My friend, not happy to pay £19.50 each for sandwiches we didn't order and which were inedible. Refused to pay for them. After an embarrassing and lenghtly discussion we were eventually only charged for the chips, the wine and offered complimentary coffees and a pastry. We certainly wont be returning. It was farcical.

£15 for table to watch the football....or £10 to stand. Walked around the corner to another bar and watched it for free.....at a table and spent my £15 on beer!

The best fish and chips you can find. Perfectly friend and homemade chips(fries)…but the homemade tartar sauce is ridiculous!

Having had just a bowl of fruit salad at the hotel, by the time we'd done various bits & pieces I was a tad peckish, & my friend had noticed the menu here, so we investigated further. Had not realised that although this is a student venue, it is also open to everyone - anyway, we ventured in. Very small menu, but the veggie gyozo piqued my interest. A mere £3.95 for four gyozo with a delicious & unexpectedly spicy (well, to my taste anyway!) sauce. Certainly not the usual sort of place we eat when on our hols, but wouldn't hesitate to pop in again should the opportunity present itself.
