Very disappointing experience Kept waiting outside in the freezing cold (with three little girls) because the table wasn’t ready and children are ‘not allowed to wait near the bar’ Service was chaotic Menus not taken from the table Our table was booked for 3pm - finally received drinks at 3.50pm Children’s food was good and the waiter interacted well with the girls One adult dinner was not delivered but the waiter didn’t notice until we pointed it out Roast dinner was disappointing - tepid and underwhelming The ‘duck’ curry tasted like chicken and was too hot (chilli) for our taste - the almost full plate was not commented upon when collected by the waiter The service improved as the restaurant emptied but a two course meal took almost three hours Definitely a case of style over substance Not recommended

Tuvimos una comida para llevar y como de costumbre no decepcionó. Las porciones son generosas y sabrosas. Compartimos 2 arroces entre 3 y eso es mucho! Buena selección de platos vegetarianos. El chef está feliz de flexionar y adaptarse donde sea posible, por ejemplo, le hizo a mi esposo un pollo con chile al ajo que no está en el menú. ¡Volveremos!

I loved that they let us book a downstairs table so we could have more seclusion and privacy as a big group! The waiter was really nice her name was Maddison and was completely happy and tolerant of us each paying separately. The service was a bit slow and sauce on non gluten free pasta was quite dry but overall it was a good experience!

Food never arrived & restaurant rude when I called to report it, A real shame as I was a a regular.

An absolutely superb roast lunch, between us we had the beef, chicken, lamb roasts and a burger, all fantastic quality. We were served by Nate who was professional, attentive and friendly. Rob behind the bar also provided top service. After our meal we stayed at our table for more drinks and a game of Scrabble, there was no pressure for us to move on. Thank you guys, we will definitely return

Almorcé con un amigo en esta sucursal. La comida estaba bien, menos la hormiga en la mesa, pero era solo una para poder perdonarla. El camarero fue muy amable, pero fue una especie de bofetada - tablero. Nos señaló la mesa, en lugar de llevarnos a ella. . . . Interesante. . . El piso tampoco era el más limpio. Una vez que llegó la comida, el camarero pensó que era una buena idea colocar el recipiente para los condimentos, con las salsas, sal y pimienta, etc. en el piso, ya que no podía molestarse en encontrar un lugar en la mesa. ¡Eso fue lo primero para mí! ! La jirafa normalmente es un buen lugar para comer, pero no volveré corriendo a esta sucursal en Blackheath.

I believe the place is called Madeleine`s (they gave me a card with this name). I had a brioche and a coffee; they were both below average. You would aspect from those interdependent shops to have higher quality of food but unfortunately not. The food and beverages are better in chains like Pret-a-Manger or Starbucks

La sopa de pimienta de pescado gato que pedí sabía a algo que salió del congelador y se estrelló contra un microondas, el pescado estaba duro y no se veía bien. Después de unas cuantas cucharadas comencé a sentirme enferma y me quejé con una de las chicas de servicio al cliente, la única opción que me dijeron que tenía era que la comida se recalentara, lo que por supuesto decliné. La actitud del gerente que fue llamado para ayudar a resolver las cosas fue mala para decirlo suavemente. Como si mi noche no fuera ya lo suficientemente mala, me dijeron que no podía pedir mi bebida Guinness favorita después de cierto tiempo. Solo puedes pedir licores o algo así después de las 11 pm o algo así que me pareció tan extraño. La decoración interna del lugar está bien y el ambiente no es malo, pero aparte de eso, es un gran pulgar hacia abajo para mí. ¡Mierda!

Popped in after recommended by a friend, as I was in the are for the day. My partner and I both had burgers which were fantastic, as was the service. Didn’t catch the guys name, (5.10” I guess) dark hair. Made us feel really welcome. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Nice cafe, doesn’t display prices inside for cakes etc but are on the tables outside. Nice outside seating for a sunny day. Friendly staff, quick service

Food is always cooked to perfection. Nice and hot when delivered, and quick also.

Ordered caramelised onion tart.was swimming in a caramel like sticky sauce that it had been doused in, it was so sweet- think treacle tart- it was inedible. No refund despite not eating it- basically £16 for a salad. Awful meal awful service.
